I've upgraded from ion turntable. Paid about the same $, the SONY turntable is few levels ABIU even, good sound. I have a pioneer receiver, two tall 3 way speakers and satellite speakers. FYI - I bought an open box item $60 or so.

I decided to dust off the old LPs and needed a new turntable. Some research led me to this Sony model. I'm very happy with the performance. It was easy to set up...had my first record playing in minutes!

This is a great entry level record player. I just wanted to have the option to play vinyl, and didn't want to spend a fortune. It was easily added to my receiver.

Nice system but it will need extras to optimize the listening experience. Will need good speakers and an amplifier to get great sound. Other than that it's a winner.

moderately easy to use. It was easily compatible with my computer. I plan on digitizing all my old vinyl with it. It might take a while for me to figure out how to edit my recordings with it, but it looks doable.

We had heard that many receivers won't work with record players. This one actually works great and gives that classic sound.

This USB turntable does what I wanted it to do at a modest price. Although it comes with a Sony audio program, I use my Roxio audio program for recording and burning CDs, and it works just fine.

I didn't research it- was on a person's Christmas list so purchased it.

If you're looking for a basic turntable, this will definitely get the job done. I have this hooked up to a Sony Receiver, and it plays beautifully with minimal setup.

The only drawback I can think of is new records are expensive at $20 to $40 each. But, you can go to a thrift store or yard sale and buy boxes full of them for a few dollars. I'm really enjoying this record player.

Works well, I am able to listen to my old records that have been in storage for many years. The bonus is that with the software and USB port I can also record to my computer for my digital music library.

I had not had a turntable in years. I wanted to be able to play my old records and record them also, I was able to get Sony turntable at a good price. I'm enjoying being able to here all of my old tunes from the 70's and 80's.

I had to replace an old turntable that I could no longer find parts for. I went in with intentions of buying the basic Audio Technica turntable because it looks a lot cooler than this one, but it was out of stock and this one was on sale. It’s a great basic turntable. It’s belt-driven, which to me is a must for longevity. It’s not much to look at which is kind of a bummer, it’s very basic black, but it works great and the price was right. One note to remember is that it has the line/phono switch in the back so if your receiver or speakers don’t have a dedicated phono jack, you have to switch over to line or you won’t be able to hear anything. Overall, I’m very happy with this turntable.

Always love Sony products. This turntable is made well even though it is simplistic. Good overall look and design. Everything works exactly like it should. Has completed my home decor set entertainment system.
