Its absolutely ridiculous to spend this much on headphones just for the freaking case to be unusable and broken in such a short amount of time. Seriously you have to be mf kidding me right now. What a disappointing mf joke. There should be a zero star option.

After 6 months the plastic hinge holding the earpiece to the headband snapped. Had a previous pair that did make it to 2 years, but the headband broke.

After a lot of research I bit the bullet on these XM5’s. Awesome - hands down. Comfort, sound, ANC, features all Great. Daughter just got the Beats Pro these are way better! ( little more bulk but lighter weight)… Forget about the Apples, your paying for the name, sound wise, these XM5 annihilate the Apples. Touch Controls are fluent, effortless & responsive. Sony APP lets you control everything, adjust sounds to your liking etc. I own the XM5 ear buds as well ( my Pros collecting dust) Tried the Bose as well, wasn’t for me… Believe all the reviews , get these XM5’s ands you’ll see why they are the Top Rated headphones.. Disclaimer: ears do get warm when wearing for cardio…

Not worth it all.

Don’t bother buying the side hinge is plastic and will break off a couple months in, sad because I’m still paying them off. Best Buy will give you the runaround tell you to come in, only to give you Sony’s contact who then says they can’t do anything about it and to call United Radio who will flat out be rude expecting your call is because Sony gave you the run around and say there’s nothing they can do about it even with their 1 yr warranty.

When you buy something this expensive it should last at least a year, if not more. It lasted less than 7 months. A plastic piece near the headset broke randomly. I won't waste my money on another headset from this company.

Lasted all of 6 months. The left side swivel joint cracked and Sony won't cover "Physical, Cosmetic, or Water" damage even though the damage is from a design defect.

Do not waste your money only had 6 months and the hinge broke. Bought the extra warranty and sony does not cover what they call physical damage. Even tho it is a poor design and many others have the same issue

Best headphones ever. I love these so much! Never disappointed with them. The battery life is amazing, super fast charging, love the travel case, super comfortable and fit tons of different sizes, noise cancellation on this is incredible miles beyond anything else at cutting noise (they are insane on an airplane, previous headphones just didn’t do the trick with the constant droning of flying but these cut it down so quit i fall asleep every flight.) the sound quality is incredible, and for those who love base the tune-ability with these is amazing. EQ custom or preset, tons of helpful features like speak to chat or the touch features. Love them!!!

Great headphones, questionable build quality

First, sound was great, sound canceling worked well, comfortable fit, slightly less battery life than the previous generation but still workable, they fixed the hanger piece design that broke on the XM4s with a single stick pole and I welcomed that change. Giving it 4 stars because...those poles broke. I'm not out there jogging and throwing them around either. Wish they would just have a firmer plastic or use a metal. Otherwise, they were fine.

Best Noise-Canceling Headphones I've Owned

I've been using the Sony XM5 for a few months now, and they've honestly been one of my best tech purchases. The noise cancellation is amazing, especially during flights and taking office calls from home . They're comfortable enough to wear for hours, and the sound quality is rich without being overly bass-heavy. A bit pricey, but for me the comfort, battery life, and overall experience make them worth every penny.

These are really amazing headphones and really enjoy the comfort as well the weight. Sound quality is excellent, noise cancelling superb and the hand motion over the outside to temporarily disable noise cancelling to hear announcements or people talk to you is a plus. Only drawback is the additional app to download and they do not always connect without opening the app first. Other than that really great product.
