This movie is so awesome, it's hard to say enough good things about it! I enjoy anything by Paul Verhoeven, and this is no exception. Even after over 20 years this movie still looks great and is such a fun ride. I haven't watched all the special features yet, but the movie itself is glorious and sounds epic. Whether it's your first time or your 50th, the only good bug is a dead bug!

The movie is a cult classic. The movie definitely looks more coeaeer than ever but that doesn't really help it much. Now it shows how much the film was a bit behind in CGI. I still am very fond of the movie though.

The best of the series although the second one was acceptable. Space wars at its best. No droids no robots just soldiers against overwhelming hoards. Its dooms day and you probably are to be killed by giant bug or cut in half and have the life sucked out of you. What can you do but fight to the death while the flyboys zip by the ground troops in their space ships. Not much on the bug situation because no one cares. Unrelenting assaults with bug splatter and of course a detached love interest between the flygirl and a ground pounder. Acting is cheap and a lot of unfamiliar faces and a few characferactors,

was waiting for this movie to come out in 4k for some time now and when it arrived, had to put in on right away. opening menu was not impressive, but the movie itself was stunning to see it again this time in high definition 4k!!! I think they did an outstanding job of making this disc. it was almost like watching the movie over again for the first time, of course i had not seen it for a few years, but with that and seeing it in such stunning definition and detail made for a very unique experience.

Starship Troopers was one of those movies I saw when it came out and didn't remember it much... Then I caught a few minutes on tv recently and I saw a different side I didn't remember. So instead of watching with commercials, it added to my movie collection. Neil Patrick Harris was so young in the movie, and I am not sure if my views have changed since it first came out, but I very much enjoyed the movie. Some bad acting, yes, some unnecessary violence, yes, but isn't that what makes Sharknado movies such cult followings??? Take a dive in the Starship Troopers and laugh, and enjoy.

Everyone has a favorite movie that everyone else hates. This is mine. I read the book; and if you were a 14 year old boy in the second half of the 20th century, it would be the most awesome sci-fi book ever, because it fits the 14-year-old's fantasy of high tech armies fighting monsters. I like monster movies, and I know they tend to be very cheesy -- this movie is no exception.

This was the very first DVD I bought right when DVD's first came out and I'm glad that I can get it in 4k finally :) Cheesy of the cheesiest movies, but it's a lot of fun to watch. Obvously technology has improved but it still holds up pretty well. If you grew up with it, it's a must have in your collection. The younger crows might get a kick out of it but of course it's not as "good looking" as what's out today. Well worth it though.

The 4K of "Starship Troopers" is truly a revelation. The finely resolved grain structure of the film brings so much more detail out to the forefront, even for a 20 year old movie. The levels of detail in costumes, gore effects, faces, etc. is amazing! To go along with smart HDR use, strong black level - I can't say enough about how blown away I was with this upgrade. As for the movie itself, it's classic Verhoeven - Paul at his finest.

Overall I enjoy buying movies from Best Buy and the daily email that is sent to me showing items that are on sale is also very good.

Ten years after Robocop Paul Verhoeven does it again, a fantastic social commentary wrapped in an entertaining sci-fi adventure! Signature ultraviolence as satire, characters almost as caricatures at times highlighting the absurd, so much fun! Just don't expect a faithful adaptation of the great Heinlein novel, this is certainly not that.

This movie is a 90's classic and because they did only attempted CGI sparingly, almost exclusively on insects, it still holds up today. The movie looks great on much larger screens. This is a real 4k update as reported by real4k.com it looks sharp and crisp with a decent range of color. This is older and filmed before HDR and did not receive the same touch ups that Blade Runner had, but still looks pretty great!

It's gory, it's satirical, it's a teen drama set in the future and the teens eventually kill giant bugs with huge guns. It's got it all. This is an intelligent action movie that can still be enjoyed even when taken at face value. Also, this is one of the best 4K films I've ever seen; you'll be surprised at how well the film holds up.

Cult classic remastered in 4k with some cmentary from the cast. I usually hoard stuff digital but I wanted a copy since I lost my DVD when I moved. Glad I picked this up. Would you like to know more?

This movie is about giant bugs attacking Earth. It is a rated R movie for some nudity, gory violence, and bad language. If you like that kind of thing this is your movie. This movie has a satirical sense of humor such as the recruitment advertisements for the military to fight the giant bugs.

Don’t be fooled: this is not a fascist SF film, it is a ruthless, at times hilarious parody of fascistic, authoritarian SF. And Verhoeven meant it exactly that way. The UHD transfer is grainy, but that is not a criticism. It was distributed on photographic film and that’s what it looks like. Spectacular color makes it all worthwhile.

This is one of my family's and I's favorite movies. Fun, funny, and just plain Fudged up. Classic characters and cheesy dialog make this film timeless. great SFX that still holds up decently even now.

Verhoeven's Scifi trilogy is nigh untouchable... First RoboCop, then Total Recall, finally concluding with the awesomely subversive Starship Troopers. Such an underrated genre gem. I was in the market for the 4K of this flick, but the collector's tin sold me instantly. Highly recommended for fans of the film.

This was a great sci-fi movie when it was first released, but now seeing it in 4K and hearing the awesome surround sound, it's as if I never watched this movie before! It is so much better now. If you liked this movie before and you have a 4k TV and a good surround sound system, then this movie is a MUST BUY!!!

What can I say? Starship Troopers is a great movie with awesome effects. I can't believe it is 2o years old already. The 4k transfer is awesome and the steelbook is top-notch.
