I don't use a tripod all the time, but it's something I need to have in my life. My previous tripod was just a cheapy, but lasted over 15 years. When it finally broke I figured I'd get one that's supposed to be at least a little bit better so I went with this one.
The tripod part seems at least as sturdy as my old one, and definitely aesthetically updated. It's got a foam tube covering the top segment of one of the legs for whatever reason (I guess to make carrying it more comfortable?) so that's neat.
I really like the fact that it comes with a phone mount and a GoPro mount, that's handy.
The only component of this tripod that I worry will fail is the adjustment handle which feels far flimsier than my old one.
AAAAANNND the leg just fell off as I was reviewing this thing. Well that's just FANTASTIC!! Looks like it's been missing a screw all along?? Obviously not returnable since it's BEST BUY...guess that's that.

Gets the job done. Build quality isn’t so good, but considering the price, it’s basically a decent tripod.

Total junk. The price is attractive, but if it were made of toilet paper, like it seemed to be, I would consider it overpriced.
The screw handle to control panning broke after two weeks. The threads disengaged and couldn't be fixed.
This tripod is cheap junk at its worst. Avoid at all costs. You'll regret buying it, like I did.
I replaced it with an Endurax tripod. See pics. MUUUUUCH better!!! See photos of the Endurax below. SOOOO much better!!!

It’s worth for the money. But quality wise it average product. Able to hold my Sony a7iii with 24-70mil G master almost 900grams lens. But still it’s not for ruff use. Plastic quality is not that good.
Will not recommend this product.

This is absolute garbage. I didn't use this tripod for a couple of months after buying it (so I could not return it - mistake on my part). I started using it and it broke apart within a week. Two of the latches won't work and a leg came out. It was quite annoying!!
A month passed. I went and visited my brother, who had incidentally bought this same exact tripod. When I tried lifting the tripod, a leg fell down. He said - "oh yeah, it fell apart in a day."

I’ve been looking for a tripod online and saw this ad Sunpak “platinumplus”. I went to bestbuy in medford, oregon and found out that it is not a platinumplus but an aluminum. Nowhere in the box you can see platinumplus. To make matter worse the salesperson insisted the platinumplus and their item aluminum is one & the same. They should change the product title like what is written in the box to set an expectation.

This tri pod is just ok because it' a little cumbersome to use. There are too many dials and cranks to loosen, tighten, and move the height up and down. When I replace it, I'll be sure to open the box an try it out first.

This tripod was fine for a little while and for the past two weeks it has just been falling apart one piece at a time. A piece used to lock the legs fell off one day and it's been unbalanced ever since.
Not a good, long-lasting product. The handle also broke in half :/
Buy something better and not as cheap-product wise.

When I pulled this out of the box I could feel how cheap and poorly constructed it was, but then thought it was fine for my needs. I brought this for a trip that got delayed, so when i finally got to use it two weeks after the return period, it broke soon after pulling it out of the box and is now unless. For me the lock that holds the base that connect to the camera broke off. If you want to get a one time use / disposable tripod this is the tripod for you.

Sets and adjusts great. It even has a built in level. it was not built for taking pictures on the farm and taking it in and out of my pickup truck. Already has certain rivets popping and must handle it gently

I was excited to buy this tripod as I started a new hobby doing astrophotography. This tripod lasted only 2 uses and it broke on my 3rd use during a trip at Death Valley. It completely ruined my whole trip. since the reason for my trip was to shoot the Milkyway. The level knob/handle broke off and all my pictures ended up having blur because of the shake. I contacted customer service and did not receive a reply from the. This happens a few days after my 30 days returning period so I could no longer get a refund. VERY DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT

Junk missing a part and the leg fell off. Would have returned it but did want to go in the store and deal with it during the pandemic because I have underlying conditions. Should have known better. You get what you pay for!
