I have had a 7.1 system for a decade and decided to upgrade some components. I have been researching subwoofers for longer than I would like to admit and finally pulled the trigger on the SVS PC-2000 Pro. I bought two of them out of the gate since every Home Theater enthusiast swear that buying 2 good subs is far better than buying 1 great sub. These subs sound so good. They hit so hard and so clean. 10/10 would recommend. I love now giving audio demos to people when they come over and their jaws usually hit the floor. I love down firing subs. I will add that mine are in a suspended floor (bonus room) over a garage and I feel it adds greatly to the feel of these subs. Shakes everything. I love it. The app is pretty solid too, it's nice being able to stay in the listening position and adjust the speakers. TLDR: I thought I knew how good they would sound bc of my research... they sounded better!

Very powerful subwoofer that isn’t an ordeal to reposition in your theater room. Can function well ported or sealed. Nice piano black finish. SVS app works well, adjustable from across your room. Delivered early and shipping carton was not beaten up. Be skeptical when ordering a large heavy subwoofer for home delivery from anyone other than Best Buy, SVS or Crutchfield. Ordered two SVS subwoofers from Best Buy without incident or return. Works well with Yamaha A6A AV reciever.

Incredibly amazing subwoofer. I upgraded from an older Velodyne 10 inch, and this thing is like a whole new world of bass. It's incredibly powerful! The bass goes deep and hits hard. I know everyone always wants to use these in the default ported configuration, but i highly recommend trying it in the sealed configuration. There should be a foam plug included in the box, but if there isn't, you can email SVS customer support and they will send one to you for free. You'll need to use the SVS smartphone app to change it into sealed mode after putting the foam plug in the port. The bass is way tighter, cleaner, snappier, and more musical in sealed mode. You lose a tiny bit of maximum loudness, and maybe a tiny bit of low end extension, but you can account for that by adjusting your EQ settings and volume levels in the app. You're DEFINITELY going to want to check out the app, it's awesome and it offers way more control than anyone ever asked for in their HT sub. The sound quality for music and movies is really great in sealed mode. I am not saying it's not great in ported mode. Explosions and etc have way more impact in ported mode, but I don't mind sacrificing a little bit of impact for what my ears perceive as higher quality sound. I love having the option to quickly change between sealed and ported modes, no subwoofer I have ever owned has given me that option before. I know this thing is expensive, and probably more than you're looking to spend right now but it's genuinely a night and day difference between this sub and anything including other brands even on the used market below $800. Trust me, get this sub. If you're that guy that's right on the border of home theater nerd and audiophile, this is the one you're looking for. Wait for a sale or an open box or refurbished one if you need to save some money, but it's worth every penny.

Audiophiles will constantly try to explain the minute characteristics of speakers to prove their point on why one is better than the other. However, for 95% of listeners, the subwoofer is the one speaker in the entire setup that provides the "wow" factor. Despite being relatively entry level in the SVS lineup, this subwoofer is utterly jaw dropping. A powerful, down firing subwoofer paired with hard flooring provides a level of bass that you would not think possible at this price point. It is powerful, yet manageable with music. But the strong point is definitely movies. The impact and rumble you feel, the doors in your home rattling in their frame, the sound of your glass dishes dancing in the cabinets in the kitchen; you would be fooled into thinking that alien spaceship is actually landing on your home. And this power is with just one of these speakers. At default settings. Be prepared to be astonished. And be prepared for noise complaints.

I am blown away by the bass this product delivers. It has many settings on the app and is very easily managed. The feet on the woofer couple the floor nicely and I really like the design as it had a down firing woofer plus you can do open port or sealed port . Great product.

Haven't had this long, but it only took a minute to experience how good this sub is. I replaced a 20yo ported 12" Kenwood that thumped, but it was no comparison to this SVS sub. This sub gets very low where you can feel the low rumbles that you can't feel with other subs. It can be overpowering in a small room, but that's what the phone app is for. Just turn it down. My space is a little over 1500 cubic feet. This is more than enough sub for my room. I called SVS the next day for help with setting up my receiver for this sub and my speakers. They are as helpful as anyone that i've dealt with. This sub is pricier than what i wanted to pay, but it's more than worth it! You won't be disappointed!

One word…AWESOME!!! If you’re looking for a subwoofer to complete your home theater setup, look no further. I know it is expensive but you get what you pay for. You’ll want to calibrate your system once you get it in the ideal location. To find the ideal location, look up Subwoofer Crawling online. Only thing that could ever be better than this, is two of them. Simply outstanding. Prepare for a butt massage when this fired up. :)

Not only does this sub dig deep, it looks incredible. It is essentially the PB-2000 Pro, but with a different footprint. It is by no means compact (larger than my tower speakers). After running Audyssey on my AVR, I immediately dove into some demo scenes. One of my favorite scenes is the initial race from Ready Player One. It sounded fantastic! I haven't smiled that big during a demo scenes in quite some time. You cannot go wrong with this sub! The app is handy, but not a killer feature. You will be hard pressed to find a better value under $1K.

Great subwoofer! Deep base handles anything I threw at it. From music to movies brings home theater to life. Unfortunately it was too much base for my living room. Ended up getting two smaller svs subs for my space.

If you don't have a ton of floor space and are cool with a cylindrical sub woofer then this is the best subwoofer you are going to find for the price. Amazing for home theater and good for music. Can reach below 20Hz for room shaking base. You probably want a sealed subwoofer if you are looking for tight, responsive base for listening to music. Yet if you want movies to shake the house while still being good for music this is great.
