The Tablo App is our go to when we are ready to sit and watch a recorded TV program. Very nice to skip commercials. I do recommend the service for better TV guide view and extra features.

Great, when it works.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though hardwired into a Gigabit intranet, its NIC disconnects from the network after about 30 minutes and must be hard reset to get the connection re-established. Tech support will lead you to believe it is a Router problem. It clearly is not. You can sit and watch the Switch LEDs extinguish as the connection drops. when it times out. Seems as if their firmware does not keep the NIC alive and does not properly "wake" it on subsequent connection efforts.

Excellent Product

We found the Tablo gave us the more of what we wanted for our money. You do have to pay for the guide, but have the option to pay for life if you choose. It is very easy to use. We love it!

Great device for OTA distribution to Roku TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box it is a small device that has Wi-Fi, CAT cable, USB Hard drive and coaxial connection for delivering Digital over the air HD (OTA) antenna. At first, I thought this would be a nice Wi-Fi device for sending reception from my HD broadcast antenna to my TVs. To connect from the unit’s device via WIFI it required an app from Tablo web site to activate. However, it requires the serial number from device from Tablo which did not recognize the unit. Moving it to my home router via a CAT5 cable immediately identified it and allowed me to finish the setup on my Roku TV.

Not Worth the Money

I must have gotten both of the bad units. I returned the first one I purchased with in a week of purchase thinking I had a bad unit because it kept freezing. Well it’s been 6 moths plus with the replacement unit and multiple calls to product support. They said It was due to an unsupported hard drive. I removed the hard drive reset the unit and all I use it for is live TV. Well still freezing randomly to a point that you can get through a show cuse it will just freeze. Ive replaced my modem, a new ASUS GT-AC 5300 router and plugged directly. Gaming systems work flawless. I play the TABLO with minimal devices on line yet IT FAILS every time.
