Good Beginning/Ending to the Series
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film is a direct sequel to the first two films and ignores all the less-than-stellar sequels that followed. It gave us a good conclusion to the original T1 and T2 films while setting up the series for another story. I had my gripes with how they played the T-800 character as he was written for jokes. But Sarah Connor is still bringing her A-game. The story picks up 30+ years after T2 where Skynet doesn’t exist, but Sarah still hunts and kills terminators that show up in a rather efficient manner. Like before, a protector is sent back through time to protect a young girl who will grow up to less the resistance to fight the machines in a world that has replace Skynet with Legion. Sarah, an aged T-800 and a resistance fighter from the future team up to take on the newest threat to humanity. Not as good as T1 and T2 but much better than everything that followed. Unfortunately soft box office has killed (terminated?) any chances of this getting a follow up, but who knows... David Ellison the producer is a multi-billionaire so maybe he’ll try following up on a streaming service.

Girl Power
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the idea behind this is a total remake of what the original Terminator was all about. Someone from the future comes back to the present, and... you get the idea. The focus on Dark Fate is more on 3 women and not Arnold this time. The plot was ok but it missed the excitement of what the original Terminator was all about. All in all - Story to me is 3 stars. Video Quality - I watch this with HDR10 turned on (no Dolby Vision in my HT) in my BENQ 4K Projector. The dark scenes were clear with HDR, but some dim areas came out more gray than black (for example - scenes inside the C17 plane), The day scenes were WARM in color (bit on the reddish side). I think it under utilized the 2160p - film could be sharper. 4 stars. Audio Quality - Dedicated HT was setup with 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos overhead speakers. LFE did not hold back. Speaker separations on scene were clear (like the drone attacks.) Sound level heights on my overhead speakers were amazing. All in All - this is where the 4K disc excel. All in all 5 stars filling the soundstage in my HT.

An excellent sequel and an excellent 4k version.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For one thing, the movie is excellent. It's a strong continuation of the T2 timeline that touches on all sorts of themes about humanity, fate and causality. Many people will not understand. Just like they never understand much. Plus it's an excellent action movie with a truly nasty villain and a great final showdown. Second, the movie looks as beautiful as it's ever going to being filmed in 2K. Yeah it's only 2K, oh no, heaven forbid. Heh, sorry but that still makes for an extremely detailed image that looks absolutely gorgeous on a 4K TV. Anyone who says otherwise is either really blind or being a total snob for no good reason. Or bought a TCL. It's a very worthy purchase, especially because it's quite cheap. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Good, but not great: More Terminator
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first heard that this movie was coming out, I wondered if it would be any better than the three films it was supposedly discarding in favor of a fresh storyline. It turns out that more of a good thing doesn't always make it better, and even though this movie has a few good concepts to it, it makes me wonder why they bothered to do it at all--it doesn't reignite the franchise as some expected it to, but it's not totally disposable product either. Changing the story elements and reintroducing some familiar faces, including Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, doesn't seem to be enough, though the Rev-9, the new villain, appears to be a nice variant on the T-1000. James Cameron worked on this, but he seemed to only be telegraphing it in this time; it's not as wholeheartedly entertaining as Terminator 2 was, despite that this was supposed to be the "official" follow-up to that feature. Regardless of these issues, though, it's a Terminator movie, and should hold something for someone watching it.

Surprisingly better than expected.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TDF is the 6th installment of the franchise although it is a direct sequel to T2 Judgement Day. This movie didn't do so well in theaters even with the reurn of producer James cameron, but it is one of the better ones in the franchise. I would rate it third out of six behind T2 and the original Terminator respectivley. The story takes you down a different future path than all the other films and brings in new interesting characters. Gabriel Luna plays the new Terminator and was excellent in that role. His new version has a new set of tricks that makes him just as terrifying as the other models. The return of Arnold and Linda adds some old school flavor to the movie. I liked the story arc of Arnold especially, still giving him purpose in this franchise. After all he is the original and still my favorite Terminator. This steelbook version is a great addition to your collection.

Honestly, A Good Entry
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm glad that I didn't listen to reviews on this. Mind you, I am someone who has enjoyed every installment of the Terminator franchise, however I can see and acknowledge the faults. I think any movie with time travel is faulty. Anyway, this entry, a direct sequel to T2: Judgment Day is entertaining. In standard modern Blockbuster fanfare, there's a lot of fast moving, explosive set pieces, but there's some quiet moments. I think Linda Hamilton was great and she portrayed the anger and sadness of Sarah perfectly. PQ and AQ is great, so for fans of the film, I recommend it.

Steelbook is fantastic, but the film itself...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Steelbook case is fantastic! It is a thing of beauty. The film itself, however, was disappointing. I originally wanted to watch this in theaters but didn’t get the chance. I would have been very upset if I had. You’ve read how this film basically trashes the last three Terminator films, and that is true. This film works too hard to get a political message across, creating a new set of heroes when it didn’t have to. It seems Hollywood should just create new franchises where they can push their new agendas and ideas rather than try to “rectify” all the old franchises they deem to be outdated. Hollywood needs to stop trying to rewrite history and instead accept films from a different era as a time stamp to what people enjoyed and thought during that time. All the main characters that drive the film are women. Nothing wrong with that, but consider that the characters who always drove the franchise were John Connor, Sarah Connor, and the Terminator, not three women. I also didn’t care for the fate of these characters, unlike in other films of the franchise. They were poorly written and forced. The ending is left open for them to make another film, but I feel as though they did so much damage to the franchise that I don’t know if we should see another film made. I’m begging they don’t make another. I’ve concluded that six films in this franchise is three too many.

Arnold (and Sarah) Are Back!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original Terminator movie and its sequel, Judgement Day, are two of my all-time favorite movies. The blend of action, drama, pathos and humor, combined with top-notch acting from a great cast and superb direction by James Cameron, made these thriller/action movies instant classics! New cast members, such as Grace and Gabriel/Rev-9, add new dimensions to the series and promise much for future iterations. Arnold is a living legend who finds himself in a new and interesting role in this film. And the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is essential: she played a major part in T1 & T2 and her absence was felt in the other installments. Overall, Terminator: Dark Fate is a worthy successor to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. If we are lucky, it will launch Terminator into a new renaissance via feature-length films or a TV/streaming series.

Better than expected!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say I was skeptical about this movie. I did not go see it at the theater and wasn't expecting much. Much to my surprise it is very, very good. The effects are outstanding and the plot is excellent. From my take it's a sequel to all the Linda Hamilton Terminator movies and you just have to throw out Genesis. Now about the 4K version. I wasn't as impressed with the 4K version of this movie as the movie itself. I first rented the 1080 version from RedBox and, at least with my Sony TV's upconversion, found it to appear actually sharper than the 4K version. The 4k version is Dolby Vision, which I normally love. But for some reason this one seemed a bit soft to me. Don't get me wrong, it's still a beautiful picture, it's just not as sharp as say, Passengers or Blade Runner.

Another gem on 4K UHD Blu-ray
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My purchase of Terminator Dark Fate came complete with slipcover. As for the discs, the video and audio quality are excellent. Especially the Dolby ATMOS audio, it will rock your socks off of you have a sound system. This is how you do it. Excellent 4K UHD release with plenty of bonus features as well. If you're a fan of Terminator, this is a good buy. And if you have a 4K system with surround sound, expect nothing short of awesomeness in terms of recreating the theatrical experience at home. I'm happy with this purchase.

More of the same, but a worthy installment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you go into a Terminator film, you have to make peace with the fact that the story potential doesn’t have much (if any) flexibility. Much like any superhero movie, you’re inevitably going to be watching the same story retold again and again with either different characters, different actors, or both. Terminator Dark Fate proves this through recycled story elements from T1 & T2, but makes a noble effort to present enough new characters that audiences can get invested in to give the franchise a fresh start for an existing and also new audiences. The movie isn’t bad by any means and can be enjoyed for what it is by long time fans, but is overall just “meh”. With that said, seeing this film and the action set pieces in 4K is absolutely gorgeous. Paired with hours of special features, this is a must own for all Terminator fans. You also get a free digital redemption code and a regular blu ray disc included.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paramount Pictures delivers Terminator 4K UHD Blu-ray fans a technically terrific visually stunning and sonically engrossing disc to add to the collection. The native 4K transfer with Dolby Vision delivers picture-perfect visuals while the Dolby Atmos mix rattles your sound system with every bullet and explosion. Bonus features may not be a huge range of material, but it's solid stuff. Fans will have to decide how much this entry matters for their personal collection - that said - it's a great disc even if the movie itself may not be everything you hoped for. Recommended.

Good movie
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this movie because I own all the terminators that they've made in sequential order, so this one was bought because it was a part of the ones I've already had. However it was pretty good if you have all the other movies are have seen all the other movies then you won't be lost watching this one... But it's not anything that will get you into the seats at the theater... But if you're a collector and you like the Terminator series it will continue the story and the action will continue and the switching of what happens next will blow you away at the end.

Form your own opinion!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I heard lots of hate for this movie, but I've been a Terminator fan since the original first hit VHS . The first 2 will always be my favorites, but I genuinely enjoyed this installment. Opening with Sarah describing her vision of Judgement day from T2, then seeing what happened shortly after she prevented Judgement day, I got chills ! The action is abundant, and it has Linda Hamilton reprising her role as Sarah Connor and Arnold back as model 101. I do not regret buying this!

One of the best Terminator movies!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terminator Dark Fate is the latest in the Terminator saga. It brings back Linda Hamilton as Sara Connor and the original Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger. It also introduces new characters in the form of a new version of Sara Connor called Natalia Reyes, a new evil and enhanced Terminator played by Gabriel Luna and an Enhanced human protector played by McKenzie Davis who also played in the Martian. In this new role she did an excellent job. The movie is yet again about a way the machines are trying to terminate the future protector of Earth but with a twist. There is plenty of action and fight scenes, but wish there were more. Definitely a movie I would recommend.

The "T3" we should've gotten first!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now, I know many people don't like this film but I'm one of the few who really enjoyed this flick. I love the bold move they made in the beginning, I love the fact that they changed the story as drastically as they did without changing the concept. Arnold and Linda have never been better in terms of acting chops- the T800's story in this film is surprisingly moving and a beautiful goodbye to the man who made this character a cinematic legend. Don't listen to the naysayers- give this film a chance and watch it with an open mind. If you do, I think you'll be happily surprised.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After all the criticism that this movie received I thought that I would be watching the worst movie ever to be made in the history of mankind. I personally enjoyed it for what it was, is it "woke"? maybe, but I've learn to accept that given the times that we live in now. The action is great, it has great cgi and it contains a scene as soon as the movie starts that catches you off guard (perhaps that's why a little of people were upset). Its a movie that you're not suppose to take serious and accepted for what it is, a over the top action flick starring Arnold Schwarzenegger who provides a little bit of comedy relief lol.

Good follow up to the original
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure it’s a little violent but, hey, it’s Schwarzenegger. What would you expected? Lots of shoot ‘em up, blow ‘em up action while they try to figure out how to defeat the latest version of Terminator. A flash from the past, or maybe the future and here comes Linda Hamilton, showing her age and still hunting Terminators with a vengeance and not with a walker. Little John is gone, sorry for the spoiler, and the future of mankind is at stake once again. The timeless nature of this story keeps going on. Family friendly and a good movie to order a pizza and enjoy a night in
