This film is a superbly crafted Sci-Fi: Action/Thriller that is equipped with all the toys: Time Shifting, Androids and other interesting machines and bots were the attention getters, as-well-as the films superb cast who really “got-it” and both a Director and Cinematographer who knew what they were doing. The totality of their efforts results in a highly emotional story-line and an audience experience that is a ultra-memorable experience

Worth the watch, Arnold is great as always. Dont go in expecting it to be like T1 or T1. I enjoyed it far more than T3 for example. More or less it's own "stand alone" version.

This movie has received a bad rap from some trusted reviewers like Rotten Tomatoes, which I respect. I hemmed and hawed about buying it - would it suck and would I regret that I had wasted my money? The answer was No both times. If you like the Terminator series - I don't see how you can go wrong with Terminator Genesis. I felt moments of nostalgia, I laughed and at one point flinched like a little girl from a "scare" I hadn't anticipated. I actually enjoyed the ride. I had a nice evening. Shakespeare it ain't, but it was definitely worth the price of the download easily.

Clearly just buy saying Arnold Schwarzenegger is doing another terminator, there is going to be some excitement and some nostalgia especial for a person like me that sat in the theater at a very young age watching an R rated movie. But truth be told, I have always wanted Sarah's nightmare to come to reality and see an all out war in the future, not a robot thinking he is human or terminator doing a high five, but true survival against the machine. So that is why it is not what I was expecting, still worth the purchase for the thrills and excitement factor and hopefully one day it will happen.

This movie is a take 2 kinda on the original... It's done very well and the performances are as you'd expect from all involved.... Arnold holds up his end of the bargain by continuing to deliver well timed punch lines and of course, unexpected robotic like facial expressions while trying to be more human which kinda gives you a good chuckle... I watched it first without the 3D effect saving this feature/function for my second time around which I do intend to do... This movie definitely lives up to the terminator franchise and is not a flop... Enjoy and don't forget to "get to the chopper"

The five stars are for the disc itself. The Blu-ray looked fantastic, and it sounded great. It comes with ultraviolet or iTunes. And got extra's like behind the scenes and how things are made, normal stuff. Now as for the movie, a lot of people didn't like it. I'm not one of them. I think it has its faults, but I can overlook them because we saw a new way this universe unfolded. I really enjoyed seeing some of the scenes from a different perspective, like Arnold meeting the first Terminator. I like this inventiveness in trying to keep the story fresh and still following the same basic premise of Skynet in this world. So I guess what it comes down to is that if you enjoyed the movie, I think you'll enjoy the Blu-ray.

While the first two movies in this franchise are still the best, this movie is a 'mashup' of the previous movies but alters and weaves them into a new chapter in the series. The action is still there but there is also a new 'semi-comic' twist where things happen at different times, and different ways, than the originals. The story line is a bit weak in parts but the new timeline makes this movie fun and enjoyable.

I liked the original in the series and really liked the second one "Judgement Day". The ones that followed were ok but did not really get me going in the same way. This new one is back to form, and not coincidentally it features the return of the man, aaah I mean, terminator Arnold! He plays his part perfectly, as do the other lead actors. Nice to see Emilia Clarke outside the her role on Game of Thrones. I saw the reviews that said there were gaps or flaws in the timeline-logic. Sorry dudes I fail to see that at all, and I am pretty detail orientated, to a fault if you ask my ex-wife...lol! Special effects is terrific and the story line leaves open the possibility of another. So, check it out!.

Could not believe the work put into this movie. The 1984 Arnold was amazing, technical masterpiece. I really am opposed to digital animation and enjoy very well done animatronics. 3D animation to me looks as fake as can be, but in this movie was well done and appropriate for most of the scenes. The direction could not have been more spot on and in line with the original two movies. This for all intensive purposes should be the third movie and the other two redacted from history as this blows them out of the water. Not to mention the fact that this movie is second only to T2 in theater sales. I was skeptical, you should not be.

Kept wanting to get the regular 2D version, but glad I waited for this 3D. Super price point right now on the 3D !! If you are Terminator series fan, this is really must have for collection (even though T2 is the best done movie so far, in my view, and this movie seems a bit cliche' by the end). Only critique is the packaging/design could have been done bit better to equal the "coolness" of Terminator, and lamination on mine was wrinkled up even though new/sealed copy.

And back he is in this new twist on the Terminator series. Old vs new and a ticking clock that will end the world if not stopped. The CGI is great and the 3d is quite good. The storyline perhaps could use a little work. No spoiler for the ending but, watch the credits and be ready because after that you will agree "He'll be back." All in all not a bad movie but it really twists everything we knew and expected. If you like action, a walk down memory lane, great CGI and 3d then this one is for you.

I used to like Terminator 2 the best. However, with this movie's story line, including a revisit to 1984 and a happier ending, makes it better with me. I saw the movie on DVD, but ended up buying the 3D BluRay since I liked it so much. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 due to some poor use of language. On the plus side, this has less foul language and graphic violence compared to the first 2 Terminator movies, being PG-13 instead of R-rated. So a bit more family friendly, but not for everyone.

T2 is one of my all time favorites but the sequels since then have struggled in the James Cameron created world. Take this movie-- it has nice CG, good action and fine post conversion 3D. But the plot, with all the time line issues, is a convoluted mess. At this point, I'm not sure what they can do with the series, but it's fallen into a time travel black hole loop that they'll struggle to recover from in future movies. (Oh, you know there will be more movie$).

This movie follows the original terminator movie's style because it has all the action you need with humor too. Jai Courtney has been a favorite of mine since Spartacus and Emilia Clarke is awesome as always. She does a good job filling some big shoes. The timeline in all the movies is off a bit, but somehow they still make it work. Now with this reboot of the original timeline they could take the story anywhere if they chose to continue the saga. Plus Arnold rules and always will!

Dont believe the bad reviews for this film. It's a fun entertaining action thrill ride that pays homage to the originals we all love. This is not to say the movie doesn't have its flaws, but it's well worth it regardless. This Blu-Ray is also a fantastic presentation with top notch video and sound. The picture is incredible with strong details and fantastic black levels. Audio is just as strong and really puts your system to the test :-) Highly recommended, for a fun movie night!

i didn't go out of my way to go see this movie in the theater, or anyway in that matter! the changing of the casting once more ruined it for me, the story sounded weird and lets not forget to mention the HUGE spoiler the trailer showed. in the end this movie turned out to be awesome!!!! the casting was actually good the movie had a bunch of plot whole and they were left unanswered but hey! in the end who cares when the movie and the cgi turned out to be better

This Terminator saved the franchise after Terminator Salvation Without giving any spoilers the first 20 minutes alone makes this movie worthy of a purchase . It is not a Reboot , is the version that we all been waiting for . it is not about John Connor( Jason Clarke) it is about Sara ( Emille Clark ) and Kyle( Jai Courtney) and Lee byung hun . it was released in 1080p so that means there's black bars, and to me the 3d version had little to no effects so my recommendation is just to buy the 2d version but the blu-ray not DVD scratches fingerprints Etc it was really interesting ending

I have seen all the previous Terminator movies. My favorite is still the second one in the series (Terminator; Judgment Day). Having said that, this one is also very good. I saw it on the big screen and liked it a lot. The Blu Ray package with DVD and UV digital copy is really good. The video and audio are both great and acting is good too. I also liked the story. If you like Terminator movies, get this one too. You will like it. Recommended.

Terminator sequels will never be as good as 1 and 2 or even 3 most likely, but this was an entertaining movie in my opinion.! I think it would have been better if it had an R rating, it was good though. There will never be another Sarah Conner, but all actors were good and Arnold was believable. The 3D was OK, but although many may disagree I do not like wide screen and normally zoom to make it full screen, but you normally can't with new 3d movies.

The first movie was iconic, the second a slam dunk, the third eh, and the fourth was atrocious. So I was hesitant to come back to the terminator franchise, and with Arny being as old as he is, was very weary of the story they might tell. But still hopeful. And I was COMPLETELY surprised! Such a fun movie! Great return for the Governator! A wonderful explanation of his age, a great story and the love they showed the original really impressed me. All in all, I absolutely loved this movie! Was so excited to see it again and again! A definite must for any true Terminator fan!
