"The Karate Kid" is one of my all-time favorites! I was thrilled when I heard it was getting a 4K upgrade for its 35th Anniversary. If you are a child of the 70s and 80s like I am, you'll be thrilled about this purchase as well!

A great classic movie would recommend you will not regret

This is a great movie to begin with, but now looks better than ever. High replay value. This is a classic.

Karate kid looks and sounds great on blu-ray. Its about a young man who moves from Jersey to California. He immediately falls for Elisabeth Shue's character who has a jealous ex-boyfriend played by Williams Zabka. Him and his buddies are always beating up Daniel until Mr. Miyagi (the late Pat Morita) trains him in the ways of Karate but in a strange and funny way to prepare him for the karate match against the hated Cobra Kai. It has a great storyline, good acting, and the root for the underdog feeling in this movie. It has a great cast and good music in it too. It is funny at times and is a classic. I like the running commentary, pop up information and quizes option you can play on the blu-ray version while watching the film. So whether you have never seen The Karate Kid the original the original classic or you want to revisit the past pick up this movie it is a nice addition to your blu-ray collection. The picture and sound is far superior than the DVD version.

Karate kid has never looked better! Very sharp video and bombastic 7.1 surround sound!

This long awaited special edition release of the 'Karate Kid' has just about everything its fans wanted back when it was first released on dvd in 1998, most importantly the much anticipated anamorphic widescreen transfer. Initially released on a bare-bones disc displaying a theatrically chopped down (full-screen) image, 'The Karate Kid,' and Columbia/Tri-Star for that matter, found many of its fans shunning the initial release, opting instead to wait for the special edition of the film they knew would come sooner of later. This dvd re-release is worth every penny and includes a well put together package of extras, illuminated by a very enjoyable commentary with Avildsen, Kamen, Macchio, & Morita.

The Karate Kid is an excellent movie, it has stood the test of time. When I was a kid I loved this movie and even know as an adult it is still just as good. This is an excellent price for this classic and it's even a special edition with good extras. It is a great story. Who doesn't love Mr. Miyagi, Danielson, and Ali it has a great cast. You will watch this movie numerous times and get your monies worth. See the original before the remake is released this summer it is a great additon to your collection.

The picture quality is good but the HDR implementation is spotty. It looks good on my Sony TV but my lower end TCL the HDR makes the picture look really dark and there is no way to turn it off. I even turned off HDR on my Xbox One X and it was still super dark. This is only a good buy if you have the right TV.

Awesome Steelbook. I've loved this movie since I was a kid. When I heard a special-edition Steelbook was being released, I knew I had to get it. I wasn't disappointed. The artwork is incredible. We've all seen plenty of Daniel and Miyagi, so it was cool to see the Cobra Kai front and center.

I was excited to see this movie offered at an unbeatable price. The family has viewed this flick many times over the years. It's one of those that you can enjoy even when you know the plot. Blu-ray format was a no brainer at the recent sale price.

Always loved the original and want my daughter to experience a classic of my childhood. Not only is it bluray it also came in the collectible pop art steelbook. Great packaging and a great movie for an excellent price.

I love the art on this steelbook. Karate Kid is one of my childhood favorites so I definitely had to add it to my collection. The $14.99 price was slightly more that I wanted to pay, but since they're highly collectible I understand. Regardless, it was still a must buy!

Ralph Macchio is not a great actor, but this movie is still just a fun feel-good movie that takes you back to when you were a kid. Loved this movie then! It's not quite as great as I remembered but still well worth viewing again.

Another Really Cool Artwork Steelbook To Go Along With The Project Pop Art Series.

I had to get the Blu-Ray edition and it was worth the buy!

This is excellent, a beautiful steel book, I only wish the inside was a little bit more graphic!
