This is the epic trilogy of good verses evil. The viewer is immersed in this enchanting tale and magical world, and can easily relate to all the characters. A very entertaining series of movies!!

If you are a fan of the books or this series, you really should see the extended version and especially on bluray! I am glad to have this in my collection. Great deal on black friday too!

I've waited too long to watch these and I don't regret this purchase. Has all three of the original trilogy in the extended version with various behind the scenes stuff. Great product!

These movies crushed at the box office and are eternally re-watchable. Add to that extensive special features in the Appendixes and Peter Jackson reigns supreme when it comes to special features.

I saw and had these on DVD back in the day and experienced all 3 in theaters. Picture quality and sound is enhanced unlike DVD to be like when seen in movie theaters during original releases.

This was the only thing on my son’s Christmas list. He was so happy to get it because I was having a hard time finding it for viewing in the USA. He already watched them all.

I owned the DVD box sets and decided to upgrade to BR...well worth it! The movies were outstanding as-is, but with greater visual clarity and the extended scenes, well worth the upgrade!

Very happy to watch this set of Extended movies. Lots of background and other info that wasn't in the theatrical release. Me and my Girlfriend watched the entire set in 3 days!

This is master filming at it's highest peak. Presented here in bluray, the extended editions are near perfectly faithful recreations of Tolkien's classic work.

These films are perfect for holiday viewing. Start watching Fellowship as soon as opening gifts is over and finish Return of the King after Christmas dinner.

Must I leave a review? I mean come on, it's the blu-ray extended version of the Lord of the Rings! Everything came as expected, packaged well, no scratches.

The movies are absolutely timeless. I bought these because I wanted to “up” the picture quality from my DVDs. I’ve never seen these films so clear and stunning.

Classic great trilogy on BLU RAY. Looks stunning and quality is immaculate. Got at a great deal, but you really cant lose with the LOTR Extended.

Since I was a kid, I was always intrigued with these style of movies (great scenery, magic, etc.) this is once of the best series you can watch.

Hard to complain about much here, given that it is a wonderful, extended collection of one of the finest film trilogies ever made. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the additional scenes and the quality of the picture. The audio was excellent also. The songs are an intergral part of enjoying middle Earth.

This is a masterpiece by Peter Jackson. The extras give you endless hours behind the scenes and additional information...definitely worth it.

A tremendous amount of extras and a great series of movies. Nice set. Great price during Black Friday. Very cheap for amount of discs.
