If you are used to the ease and success of Apple's Find My iPhone App, you will be seriously disappointed here as Tile will only locate items within 100 feet - basically, the range of your Bluetooth on your phone. So, if you loose a Tile-protected item in an unknown location, say in a city, you are out of luck unless you happen upon it - within 100 feet. Another problem is the signal sound: if your Tile is in a laptop case or backpack, you are lucky to hear it unless you are right on top of it. There are also two very annoying features of Tile: 1) The battery is not very good and will die out in less than a year. How do you fix this? Buy another Tile! 2) There is a Find My Keys feature and if you are like me and you carry your keys in your front pocket, this feature seems to go off very easily and frequently. Then it is difficult turning it off while you listen to the annoying little jingle - you usually have to go to the Tile App on your phone to turn it off. I purchased my first Tile when they came out years ago. I have bought several more as the batteries die but recently, I have become so frustrated with the product that I haven't activated some of the replacement Tiles. Summary: Poor range, poor battery life, annoying find my keys feature.

Modern life is very hustle and bustle and when your living situation is space constrained and full of 'stuff' it's easy to fling down your keys, cover them inadvertently with something, then panic when you need to be heading out the door and can't find them. It's rare that you'll lose both your keys AND your cellphone though, and as long as you've got one, you can find the other. TILE is indispensable for modern living.

We love the Tile tracker. I originally got this for my son to keep in his diabetes kit because he was bad about leaving it at various places. Occasionally it will glitch on him but it has been invaluable in helping us locate this bag numerous times over the year. This bag contains his life-saving insulin supplies so I'm thrilled to have found a product that can help us find it if he happens to leave it behind somewhere.

This is a great implementation of a useful idea. A few things that could be improved or are still developing, however. The primary one is that the retile replacement is more expensive than it should be--the sale price got very close to the retile cost this December. I do like that they have the arrangement with Best Buy to allow retiling in person. I also am not sure the community finding option has developed enough to be reliable, although it is a good backup arrangement. I tried an experiment leaving a tile in a popular location deliberately for most of a day. It wasn't reported as found despite there being some 2000 Tile users in the vicinity. This situation should improve, though. The third concern is the amount of battery that the Tile app uses on iOS. It's noticeable if the app is allowed to run in background using location services. All in all, though, the plusses outweigh the negatives for me, but this is why I'm rating it 4 rather than 5.

In the age of car keys cost $500 to replace one I can’t speak highly enough about the tile , when you can’t find your keys are you Gotta do is go to the Tile app click it on your phone and it’ll start beeping and guide you with a map to where your keys are , better yet if you have your keys and don’t know your phone is you can double-click the tile and I’ll ring your phone even if it’s on silent

Bought one tile for myself and one as a small gift. Haven’t really had to use it yet, but did test it out and it seems it’ll work really well. The only downside is that when I was reading the pamphlet, it mentions probably needing to purchase a new tile after about a year. This is a bummer, as I didn’t know this beforehand. I guess I’ll use until it conks out and then decide if it’s worth buying another.

This Tile Tracker is the best! I'm glad I got it! Not only does it work 'forward', by helping you find your keys, but if you've lost your phone, it works 'backwards' as well! Push the Tile thingy on your key ring, and your phone sounds out so you can find it! I got one for my daughter and my husband also, and they are pleased as well!

Battery finally gave out on my older Tile. This new one works great just like the original.

I bought this for my parents (in their 70's) who have a tendency of forgetting where they put or left items. They typically call me to help them figure out where they may have left something. They love them and I can easily access their account to help locate the last location of the item. Would have given five stars but one of the tiles does not work. I have not had a chance to deal with that.

Works great with luggage when we traveled in Europe, knew exactly where our luggage was

I have been wanting these for a while and when I found them at Best Buy I knew I just had to have them! I use them often and even located my car key in a large field in the middle of nowhere. There was my Tile and key right where I had dropped them! I have them on everything now!!!! I especially like that I can find my phone even if it isn't on and it doesn't need a Tile on it!

No problems setting these Tiles up and all worked perfectly. No more misplaced keys.

This is a great idea inconcept but reality is you hve to have location on your phone to be able to find it which of course drains your battery and unless you have your phone plugged in all the time which you would know where it is at. But on the flip side finding items with tags on it works pretty well and am happy with that part.

I love the tile and it’s function. If you misplace your keys you can ring them. If you misplace your phone use the tile on your keys to ring your phone.
