Excellent product, tricky install

I picked up this switch on a whim after picking up multiple google home mini's over the holidays. The install wasn't complicated from a wiring standpoint. However, be aware of the fact that these are much large than your typical switch as far as what has to fit inside the gangbox in the wall. Luckily I was installing this into a 2 gang box, and only replacing one of the switches so I was able to make the wires fit behind the other toggle switch, but I'm not sure if two of these would fit inside one box. This does seem typical of trying to fit multiple smart switches into multi-switch panels.
Functionality wise, it was extremely easy to set up on wifi with the Kasa app from TPLink, from there, I just had to link the Kasa app to google assistant and it worked perfectly by voice command.
One pointer though, if there are multiple people set up with profiles on your google home, each person has to go into google assistant app and add the switch for it to respond to voice command. Took about 30 minutes of searching to find that trick and it has worked perfectly since.

If you have a simple understanding of how electrical wires work, this product can be very easy to install yourself. I have had this product for almost two weeks, and I have not any problems with it. This smart switch has already become very handy as it is easy to forget to turn off a light, or sometimes you cannot physically touch the switch because you don’t have a free hand. This product works well with Google and Alexa smart assistants. My household has three of these smart switches and the family loves them!

I now have 23 kasa switches, plugs, dimmers, and 3-way switch products. I cant recommend these enough. Im slowly converting over the whole house. Youll need new faceplates if youre replacing 2 or more gang boxes, but i love them (and those are cheap). The app is very intuitive and not bloated with useless crap that so many ITTT stuff is.

Bought these for 3 deck lights where the switches are located inside the house. Connecting to Wi-Fi and the app was easy. The wiring part can be complicated. I'm a novice at electric and it took me a bit. You need your common wire to the box, as you need to power the switch, not just use it as a switch where the hot wire just makes the connection.
They turn on reliably, stay connected and are nice to use manually as well. I will buy more of these for other rooms if it makes sense. I would buy these again.

These switches are very straight forward to install (if you’re comfortable with the wires). The app made it very easy to set up and connect with my google smart system. The only thing to consider is that these will only work for single pole switches. That means there is only one switch to control the lights. If you have two or more switches to the same light you need to get the other switch that will work with a red wire. I would buy again.

Kasa Smart Switch, A Great Buy!

I had a Kasa Smart Dimmer and a couple Kasa Smart Plugs, so installation of this Kasa Smart Switch was easy. And adding the new device to the Kasa app was a breeze! The only difficulty was getting all the wires shoved back into the electrical box so the switch fit in place, but that’s not an issue with the device. Because of this switch’s ability to setup a schedule, I bought it to replace a timer we had for years that no longer worked correctly. The Kasa switch works perfectly!!

I am a big fan. I have installed both TP Link and Levington smart switches and prefer TP Link based on ease of installation, ease of use with the iOS app, and the ability to reconnect during a power outage. The only negative is that the switch didn't work with iOS 14.X which required a setting change in the iOS Kasa App which was not documented and required numerous interactions with Kasa support. Otherwise, this is my preferred smart switch brand for single pole, 3-way, and dimmer.

This is the 3rd TPlink home automation product Ima, using used the wall wart ones before. These models are in wall switches replacing existing regular on/off switch. I am handy with electrical, otherwise you may need pro help. The backside is little bulky so need good space inside the wall housing. You may move around some of the wiring. I had no great difficulty. I also use several non-smart home automation like timers for exhaust fans, outdoor lights, option sensors etc. TPlink switch is also Alexa enabled, fun calling out to turn on the kitchen light or hallway lights. Multi programmable so ver versatile.

I purchased one of these last year for my Christmas lights, and it worked out so well I decided to get two more for my outdoor lights in front of my house. They were such a good deal under $20 each and they were great. I haven’t set the timers but they are also able to be controlled with smart things hub making them more useful for people with more complex automations. I’ve never had them show an incorrect state or not respond via app. Definitely recommend if you can find them for $20 each or less

These switches were very easy to connect to the existing circuit in our home. Setup was also simple. Once the Kasa app was downloaded and an account created, we were able to link the Kasa app to our Google Home app and can now control them through there. You can set up schedules for when the switches turn on and off, which is great for the dusk til dawn setup we wanted with our porch and garage lights.

Having a TP Link smart plug and being very satisfied with the product. Felt it was the best choice to add their light switch to my kitchen light. Install and set up took less then an hour start to finish. It's great to be able to enter through the garage and request Alexa to turn on the kitchen light when coming home at night, It is also nice to request Alexa to turn on the light from the bedroom in the morning to allow me not to walk through a dark house to start the morning coffee. Highly recommend the product.

Easy to set up, and very reliable. I have used the Leviton switches but their failure rate is simply too high - I have had 3 of them go bad in less that 4 years. The TP-Link/Kasa switches have proven to be far more reliable and just as easy if not easier to set up.
I would give 5 stars - I’ll rate it 4.5, but the plastic housing surrounding the switch (there are 4 wires coming out of the housing, line, load, neutral, and ground that permit connections to be made) is bulky and can be a bit of a challenge to mount in the junction box - particularly in junction boxes with multiple switches. The plastic housing also feels cheap. But so far, the TP-Link have functioned like a dream.

The TP-Link - Kasa Wi-Fi Smart Light Switches work flawlessly. Bought this as a gift for my father last Christmas, and he has since switch his entire house over to the TP-Link ecosystem (at least 20+ switches). The price of this item is a STEAL for the functionality you receive. STRONGLY recommend it as a first smart light switch, especially if you aren't looking to drop $60 per switch (CRAZY)

I bought one of these 2 years ago for more than $35. Can't believe price is $14 on Black Friday. Grabbed another one to install in another room. It works great. Connects and controlled by Google Home easily.
The switch is big! Somewhat difficult to fit in the switch box so be aware of that. The electrical wires can be pretty hard to squeeze in the box to get the switch to fit. Otherwise, connecting the wires is simple enough.

I read reviews from several online sites TPlink was rated just as high as the wemo brand and $10 cheaper overall until the Christmas deals then I watched the price drop by $5 I bought two installed them I really liked how they worked then the price dropped again by another $2 so I bought two more , I like the away features I have 4 light switches that I can set and have each one turn on and off at random with the Kasa phone app works well from anywhere works well with Alexa too you can turn each on or off separate or by groups .

These have a spectacular price point and work well. Tp-link has created a nicely priced product that works excellent and is easy to install for single pole operation.
Some of the best features on this are within the app itself. It allows you to schedule sunset to sunrise outdoor lights to be on along with some useful features such as integration with google home. I have installed several in my home without any issues.
