These have a spectacular price point and work well. Tp-link has created a nicely priced product that works excellent and is easy to install for single pole operation. Some of the best features on this are within the app itself. It allows you to schedule sunset to sunrise outdoor lights to be on along with some useful features such as integration with google home. I have installed several in my home without any issues.

This makes #6 I have installed in my home. Install is easy if you go by the directions, shows you step by step.. ALL the Switches I've installed work with no problems at all. Works great with my Google, just tell Google what to do with what ever switch you want and it does it. Just follow directions on installing it to your Google Home app... I only have 3 switches left in my home that are not smart....YET!!! Great Switches....Little pricey

I love how these switches have a light to show they are on. I have several types of smart switches and these are my favorite. They never fail with my smart app. I can just ask for the light to turn on and my switches turn on automatically. I was going to buy more and decided to share my experience. In order to use, you do need to be comfortable with removing your existing switches.

I owned a couple other Kasa products (wi-fi plug, light bulb) before this purchase and my experience with those was so positive that I decided to give the light switch a shot. Installation was easy and straightforward, but one note is that the switch DOES require a neutral wire connection to function. Other than that the inner plate that screws to the wall is made of plastic, but I believe this has to be the case because of the wi-fi connectivity. I didn't have any issues with it stressing/cracking when I screwed it to the outlet box.

I bought this switch to control my outside lights so they would automatically go on and off during the evening hours. We did end up having an electrician friend come by and install but that was not because of the switch. The app is easy to use and I had the lights setup to turn on and off without issues. It can also be controlled thru the Alexa app but I have chosen to use the Kasa App right now. The price was good too.

Been using this for a while. It works great. Haven't had to reset it once, even after power outages and internet outages. Just make sure you have the neutral wire before you buy, or you'll have to run one to get this to work. It is pretty bulky behind the facia, so it can be a pain to fit if you don't have much slack on the existing wires. Works well with Alexa too.

I have several of these installed in my house. This one was installed for one of my outside flood light switches. Now if I want all my outside lights to come one I just ask Alexa to turn on the outside lights. BOOM all three outside flood lights are on. Installation is easy you just have to remember you have to have a neutral wire to make these work. Wifi is required, the data these use is very small I have watched it from my providers information page.

My favorite brand for smart light switches. Installation was very easy and worked immediately. No issues getting it to connect to wifi. I've had this for several months and never had it disconnected once. I installed this on a ceiling exhaust fan in my man cave and works perfect. I love being able to turn it on from my phone or even watch!

I bought this for my livingroom. It has worked every time, no glitches or delays. Install was easy for me, white to white, green to ground, there are 2 black wires that aren't labeled specifically. I connected the black wire that was next to the white, to the power wire. The other, to the light. That worked, not sure if it matters. I plan on buying more of their products, really hope this company will produce wifi garage door openers.

I have four of these installed in my house. It is easy to install. It works well with Alexa and SmartThings. I also have four Kasa Smart plugs. All works well together. I found it is best to stick to a brand that you trust. So there is no need to create another account with other brand. When there is a need for more switches or plugs, I’ll come back for more .

Purchased this wi-fi light switch for our outdoor lamp post. We Already have a 3-way light wifi switch for our outdoor garage lights so this integrated seamlessly. We have the lights configured to come on at sunset and go off at sunrise. Our lamp post is in-sync with our garage lights now. As the days are getting shorter, no need to adjust anything since it knows when sunrise and sunset is. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Great smart switch if you just need a on/off switch that works well with smart assistant like alexa. Make sure you have a neutral wire for installation, this works with kasa app,i havent gotten into the app much but you may be able to program for switch to turn lights on. This is a much cheaper way to turn lights on and off without replacing with smart bulbs

Straight forward installation. Easy to set up and use in the Kasa app and it integrates well with google home.

As someone who has limited experience with wiring I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of installing this switch. The directions were very straight forward and it was easy to install (assuming that your switch is a single pole with a neutral wire). The switches also don’t stick out like a sore thumb if you wanted to install them in your house a couple here or there.

Very easy to install and setup and works well as long as you've followed the instructions. Don't place too far from wifi origination point, but this problem can easily be addressed with a range extender. However this is not a problem with the switch itself. Works great with Alexa. I have several controlling all the lighting in and around my movie theater so when kids leave lights on I can just tell Alexa to turn them all off. They still function mechanically even if your network goes down which is also great. Just an FYI this switch can not function in place of a 3 Way switch you will need the 3 Way switch set for each pair of 3 Way switches.

This is a great product for someone just starting with home automation or who wants to expand on what they already have. Easy step-by-step instructions with pictures guide you from start to finish. Great value for the price and cheaper than most competition. Just be aware that this will not work with 3-way switches (stairs light with switches at the bottom and the top). TP-Link do sell a different model WiFi switch that will work with a 3-way switch.

Must have for Alexa. Schedule lights, away feature and voice activated with echo. Easy install and set up.

I'm not a pro. This is actually my first time tinkering with something electric without any prior training or experience. But this was easy to install. The instructions were specific. It doesn't have any problems catching any wifi. Never went out of range or signal. Responds instantly to the app. I wish they made an outlet or bulb socket like this.

This is a product that does exactly what it says it does. Replace the existing switch with this one and the wiring is simple. Once installed follow the setup instructions, which are also very simple. Download the app, add new switch and voila! Get the Alexa skill, enable it and you are good to go. It even allows daily schedules. Great price too.

If you have overhead light fixtures with multiple bulbs it can be a pain to install smart bulbs as each can turn on and off individually and the associated light switch must remain on for them to function. This smart switch solves those issues and could not be any easier to set up and use. I prefer the TP-Link to similar offerings from Wemo or Lutron as it combines the most subtle look and low price.
