I really likee this product. Its easy to install and configure. Its not expensive as well. I now have 3 kasa switches installed. I installed all by myself. One thing to keep in mind that you should have all the required wiring available before putting thia in. Otherwise it will not work. I have configured the switchea on my ph using google home.

Works exactly as advertised. Fits into existing wall switch fine. I plan to replace several more household switches with these. The App is *awesome*, easy to navigate and includes simple programming for vacation mode, daily programming, etc. We use this to turn different room lights on at different random times at night while we’re on vacation or away for the weekend. Kasa is at least as easy to use as other much more expensive Smart devices like the Philips Hue - which I love but boy, so Expensive! And proprietary. Another nice function is the little circular LED light on the switch that allows you to see where the switch is in the dark. It’s just bright enough to see in the dark, but not bright enough to cause a problem, say in a bedroom when you’re trying to sleep. The only caveat here is, like many current “smart” devices, it only works off 2.4Ghz WiFi. Had to shut down our 5Ghz band on router for it to work. That was a pain to figure out (router issue not Kasa’s) but now that we figured it out all is well. Highly recommend.

Wiring is straight forward if you are comfortable with wiring switches, lights, etc. Recommend examining how your current switch is wired before purchasing this product. Generally light switches can wired with power source at switch or power source at light itself. This product only works if power source is at switch as it requires a neutral wire. My only complaint for this product is that it a bit large....tight fit to get all of the wiring and the large switch positioned into the electrical box. Once installed it is easily set-up in the Kasa app and works great with Amazon Alexa.

I love these light switches. As long as you get the wiring correct, the rest is easy. They work excellent with Alexa. You can also set them on a timer, which I have for each night. I have a ceiling fan light that is wired with two switches. I have two of these switches installed. One for the light, one for the fan.

Easy to install, but need to do all the switches in the box with the same switch. It sits a little lower than other flat switches so a face plate won’t sit right unless all of them are the same switch. Works well with Alexa or just using its own app. Programmable to turn off and on at certain times through the app, or you can control it yourself through the app

My basement was built with one light switch at the top of the stairs to control all the lights in my basement. I was able to install the TP-Link Wireless Switch without problem and can now control my lights for our home theater without getting up by voice using Alexa (Amazon Dot). Will definitely purchase more to integrate into other rooms in the house. Well worth the price vs paying an electrician to rewire.

Working great for turning lights on based on my schedule. I have a dim light on that is perfect for getting my coffee and getting out the door in the morning.

Back in the day WIFI was in it's infancy, Wireless was terrible. Fast forward to this day and age of IOT... Now we have smart everything. In this mix of smart, TP-Link has a wonderful line-up of KASA products. I have several of their products around my home. (for ease of use, and one app on my phone, less is more), I would definitely recommend this, even for a beginner. The wiring can be daunting but if you have an electrical mind/meter, you can figure this out. If not, TP-Link has awesome support. (I am partial, all of my home's WIFI is ran on a TP-Link AC router:)_)

If you are looking for a high quality switch with a low price ($12.99 on sale), this is it. The installation is easy ( as long as your gangbox is not metal). The switchbox needs to be plastic for wifi transmission.

We have several of these throughout the house. I love TP link. We’ve used several different products and one of the reasons I like these is because you can mix a specific turn off time with dust till dawn. Our front porch light comes on at dusk and turns off at midnight.

Installation was very easy and iPhone setup with Kasa recognized the switch immediately. There is be a situation where it will not work — if the switch is at the end of the circuit and the there is no hot line. Maybe Best Buy will put it on sale again for $15.

I purchased two of these light switches to replace an outdated smart switch. They have worked great and I can turn the lights on from anywhere. Have been very reliable and have not failed. Easy setup. The glow in the dark feature is a big plus. I shopped around and thought these switches were the best for the price and I still believe it today!

Best smart switch I've used. I have these and the 3 way switches and they work flawlessly. I plan on using more in my home to automate key points when needed. I would definitely recommend these over others that use Z-wave and a separate base. Also the Alexa integration is perfect as well. TP-Link really knocked it out of the park with the kasa lineup!

I can’t comment on the installation as my brother in law who is savvy with electrical work did the install but the device itself is excellent. The app is easy to use and you can customize different times or sunset/sunrise for your lights to turn on automatically. Works great with Amazon Alexa as well.

What a great deal for an excellent switch that works seamlessly through app or touching the switch itself. This smart switch has been very helpful with my outdoor lighting which is now set on a time schedule. The app is very simple to use and easy to set up.

Very easy install using supplied wire nuts. These type of switches need continuous power to stay connected to WiFi so you must have a neutral wire. Using their Kasa app guides you through the install and WiFi set up quickly. The app allows you to control the switch away from home without a hub like Alexa. I have several TP link devices and they have been very reliable.

Have several of these and they work really well. remember to turn off the breaker and take a pic of your old single pole switch before you install this one to make sure you put the wires in the right orientation. Works great w/google home and home assistant.

I switched from a competing smart switch to this one and let me tell you. Not only is this switch less expensive, it actually works through their app. It was simple to install and setup as long as you have basic home wiring skills. If you feel uncomfortable doing home electrical wiring, call a professional.

Connects easily to Wifi! Setup is simple in the app. Use smart speakers to manage your lights or fans. You can set up macros by linking additional smart devices to this switch. I use it to control my lights and a couple of smart plugs for floor lamps. Highly recommend. I purchased mine on sale for around $20.

I purchased this item to schedule my lighting while away. Went on a few vacations and the light turned on as scheduled and I was able to turn it on manually while away. It works well with Google Assistant and I never had any disconnect issues. Overall I would buy another one to connect to other parts of my house. I highly recommend this product!
