Battery runs down way to fast. Waste of money. Should have stuck with an Android phone.

Hi. This is Cristy from TracFone Wireless. We see you need help with your phone and are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. To improve the battery life of your phone, turn off features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS when not in use. Reduce the amount of browser, music and video streaming usage. Exit applications using the back button instead of the home button. Close all applications in Task Manager. Reduce the screen brightness and timeout to small values. Hope this works on your phone. Should you need further assistance, please chat with us using this link http://bit.ly/2qdrKHH. For your convenience, our representatives are available Monday-Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:45 PM EST. You may also text the key word HELP to 611611 to view our self-service menu with a list of help key words with valuable information. Thank you.

Discontinued by Apple, stocks of the SE are yet available for some of carriers, including TracFone, at an excellent price. I've long used TracFone and have no complaints about the wireless service. Customer service can be wanting, such as trying to get this particular iPhone working. It took about 5 tries (on-line chat and telephone) to get to the root of the problem. (My thanks to the one fellow who suggested I go buy a new SIM card, and that did solve the intermittent loss of texts.)
Now that the wireless service is working, the phone is proving to be light, trim, and fast. I'd rate iOS between Windows Phone (the best, but no longer available) and Android (the worst) for overall ease of use, but in their latest versions, there's not much difference. I give the nod to iOS because it pirates less of your cellular data in the background, and being on a pre-paid plan, that can be significant. With running solely on cellular (such as when away on a trip), iOS will burn up to 1 MB per day in the background, even with all the various settings configured to "no" for cellular. On my wife's Moto G running Android, it's well over 2 MB per day, some days as much as 4 MB. In both cases, the phone's software marks "system services" as the culprit. (The late, lamented Windows Phone used about 0.1 MB per day there.)
The iOS 11 has some bugs in it. Apps don't always scale well to this smaller screen. Two apps, one from Apple and the other a third party, don't read "buttons" which might appear on the far right side of the display. You learn to tap these aiming a little left of the on screen target. Other apps are fine in this regard, so maybe it's a problem with which version of iOS the software was originally written for.
Other than that, the apps work well, and the phone's hardware is very well done. Voice quality is decent. The volume button is a little too fine in its steps, leading to numerous clicks to adjust to a new level. The auto brightness is pretty good, but the display is weak in full sun. The camera is fast and takes excellent photos, although you might want to turn off the annoying "live" photo feature which records a 2 second movie along with every photo you snap. Windows 10 can off load photos without iTunes installed.
The phone is not perfect (not quite 5 stars), but it's very good for the price. I really enjoy the light and compact size.

I’ve been with tracfone for a few years and wanted to get away from android. This synched completely with my ipad during setup, and the activation process on tracfone.com was easy and fast. I love the size too. So far - day 1 - everything is going great, and i have another reason to love tracfone.

This does come with the 60 day 750/1000/1gb plan like the Tracfone website special. Picked up two for my parents, both work great.
