Did not work!

A Perfect Clone Tool
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to clone a hard disk - the C: drive. I had tried cloning software and devices in the past and never got a mirror-image clone. With this unit, I got a perfect mirror-image on the first try. The device is designed for backing up the HD of a laptop computer, but it will also work for a desktop - but the destination drive has to be a notebook computer disk drive. I make regular backups at work and at least once a week I use this for a mirror-image to a little hard drive. Should the main computer crash, the little drive would keep things up and going until I could get a full-size drive in the machine. This means that if my HD on my server goes down, I can have it back up in five minutes and swap it out that evening. I have swapped drives to be certain it all works and it does flawlessly.

Broken upon arrival

I installed the software and went to run the cloning process for a Samsung SSD. I plugged in the cable to three different USB ports. The computer recognized the USB cable but the software for this device wouldn't recognize it. I also tried doing the cloning with the Samsung software and that too wouldn't recognize the cable.
