Easy to use, no odor smells. Works great to recycle food only.

This works great. Best way to quickly make your own nutritious dirt using your food scraps. The machine is really quiet. It usually makes a little more than a cup of dirt which doesn’t seem like much, but it adds up when you run the machine every other day. When I don’t immediately need the dirt I store it for later use.

I love this composter. At home we are very committed with the environment and I had wanted to start composting for a while, but we are always at work and don’t have time to do it with the barrel and so on. This product has been great, we use it daily to compost everything organic, and have been using it in our plants and garden. It is quick, doesn’t make noises and works amazingly.

I originally purchased this out of interest, but found we've greatly reduced our waste generation since adding food waste to the Foodcycler. We keep food waste between layers of shredded paper in a closed 5 gallon bucket until ready to be added to the Foodcycler. I don't believe the final result is compost as we're familiar with, rather its dried and shredded matter that can further deteriorate when added to soil.

Best thing I’ve purchased so far! Make sure to read all the instructions so you know how to use it properly. A cycle usually lasts anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on how moist your food scraps are and how much you fill up the container. I found that cycles are faster when I cut up the scraps to make them smaller and if I don’t over pack the container. Also noticed our trash doesn’t fill up as fast since we’re no longer throwing out food scraps! So great for the environment which makes us happy! Will use the end product as fertilizer for a mini indoor garden when it’s warmer so excited to see how that goes!

This thing really works. We run it twice daily and the dry, odorless compost it generates is making miracles in my garden. A lilly that we have been feeding with this compost almost doubled in size in 6 weeks. We love this thing!

This is my new favorite kitchen appliance. We call it our “dirt maker”. It’s exciting to see how food scraps get turned into amazing, rich dirt. There is a bit of an odor that is produced when using it, but we just run it at night and hardly notice the smell by morning.

This unit is truly amazing. I have used various methods over the years and nothing comes close to the speed, efficiency and odorless operation of this device. I purchased a second unit to use in our break room at our family business. It's a Vitamix people, you can't go wrong!

this machine works amazingly. quiet and fast. I am glad we didn't have to use the traditional outdoor compost system which usually attracts bugs and rats. this mighty compost machine allows me to do compost pretty much every other day and I can just immediately put the compost into my garden without waiting for months.

Got this for my wife who gardens, works very well, make good compost for her garden. Cleans easily by hand or dishwasher. Cycles fairly quickly, can do several per day if needed. Less organics in our garbage, thus less stink.

I’ve had this for a couple months now and used it around 3-5 times a week to make compost. I love it and have been using the compost in my garden and even just around my yard in general the fertilizer my grass and plants are growing much.

I love this appliance. I do wish it was bigger and the coating on the inside bucket is wearing away. Little bit disappointed in that. I sure does make compost, though, that’s what I purchased it for.

I really liked this device for what it does. It turns pretty much anything into compost. However, it's very big and took up way too much countertop space. Unfortunately I had to return it because of this. If you have the space for it then I recommend it.

Easy to get started, before you know it your garbage is cut in 1/2 from the products your throwing away. Wife uses it on the plants anything to make her happy.

We have had our Vitamix food composter for almost two years now. We have a small home and this unit works great as the food scraps, coffee grounds and tea bags just go in and after the cycle, it comes out as compost dirt to use in our garden. We have found that certain veggies or fruits may have too much liquid and that may cause the machine to run longer and it may end up creating "gunk" that just needs to be scraped off. It's okay to put chicken bones and sometimes leftover fish but would not put any milk, cheese or other meat scraps in the machine. We leave ours in the garage and the noise and smell is not too bad. You should clear the back where the filters go because depending on where the back is placed, it could stain your wall or backsplash if you keep it in the kitchen area.

This vitamix has been a game changer. No longer do we have to deal with stinky compost. It easily fits in our kitchen, It is incredibly quiet. It is completely safe, and easy to throw in our garden.

I'm impressed, it works just like advertised. This simplifies our three stage compost piles by grinding down and dehydrating kitchen scraps, so we can skip the first stage. Mix with some soil and leave it for a month or two before adding to the garden.

Be able to talk more about it next summer when i get my compost in the ground. Sure does make a small pile and easy non smelling compost that is easy to store in a 5 gallon bucket.

We keep it on a bench in the garage and run it about every three days. Does a great job. We loved it so much, we bought a second one for our son and daughter-in-law!

This is a fantastic product for anyone who gardens and wants to utilize food scraps for composting. It is quiet and efficient. The small profile is a perfect fit for those who do not have a lot of counter space.
