    Really bad defect right out of the box. Would turn off randomly in the middle of watching. Two tiny speakers give the illusion of surround sound, but only if its really close to where you are sitting. I expected this from a Vizio, and regret giving them a chance. Upgraded to a receiver and some Polk speakers!

      Hi Jack, If the audio from your rear surround speakers isn't loud enough- you can adjust he their volume in the settings. Sorry to hear your sound bar was powering off. If you haven't returned the sound bar- we'd be happy to see if we can troubleshoot your product- and replace it with or warranty process. VIZIO

    Garbage. Audio delays and powers off on it's own. This happens within 30 minutes with one or the other. Only had it a week. But returning it. The SmartCast features aren't worth the headaches.

    Overall, not happy with this VIZIO soundbar

    Sound quality is good, really no complaints with that. But the Subwoofer and 2 wired satellite speakers will not stay bluetooth connected to the main sound bar. Constantly having to attempt to reconnect them. Most of the time when I get it reconnected is just dumb luck, by some combination of turning the power on/off and/or cycling through the various cable connection options till I get back to the HDMI ARC connection. Trying to reconnect the sub exactly per the instructions on page 33 of the owners manual never works. It seems that pausing the remote on video or tv is what causes the disconnect. Pretty much fed up with these issues, so gonna see if I can get Best Buy to take it back so I can go with another brand. I am running the system in conjunction with a Samsung Q80 TV.

    I knew it was a gamble buying the least expensive sound bar. Little did I know, that this system has a mind of its own. It turns on whenever it wants and turns off whenever it wants. It decides when to respond to the remote and when not to. There's likely some sort of explanation for this, but it won't be good enough. Spend your money on a more expensive option. Believe me, the money you save isn't worth the headaches.

    Eternal audio/video lag

    I have tried all advise I could find online for how to get this stupid thing to work right. Everything works for a little while but eventually the video and audio refuse to sync again. There is nothing smart about this device. Pay some QA engineers to test your products before selling them. The number of responses I've seen that say "this behavior is odd for this device" makes me think that it is not odd at all. Things of the same brand plugged in via HDMI should work without me having to spend hours troubleshooting it. I want my time back.

    There have been about 5 instances where the sound bar shuts off for no reason which is annoying. I turn off the tv and then turn it on again, to get it working again. I have not called tech support yet - not sure if anything can be done about it.

    After a year of use, just turns off by itself and won’t turn on, it just dies by itself, called for support and warranty is over and vizio support did troubleshooting but nothing works, I won’t buy vizio products again.

    This was a great idea and ver convenient. I wanted to move away from a receiver and component speakers and this seemed like a great idea with the bluetooth sub and rear speakers. I just couldnt eq this to sound as good as my receiver. I ended up returning it

    I have officially given up on vizio products. I Had been looking at this particular model for awhile and finally decided to try it. While the first week I used it everything worked well. But soon after i started having multiple issues. The subwoofer’s bluetooth connection kept giving out. I had to constantly reset it. The volume would constantly move on its own. Eventually I would notice that the audio would have a serious delay from the video. I will never buy another vizio product again after the experience with this and the smart tv I had purchased and returned right away

    I have owned this for about 4 months. 2 months ago the sub started sounding broken if the bass is on. I am disappointed in the sound. I initially it was great. Maybe I should have bought a Samsung? My Tv us also vizio so I thought it would be perfect. Ugh!!!!

    The first delivery ended up being an open box with stuff missing. Best Buy happily replaced with a new one. The new one sounded great when it worked. The surround and sub would cut out intermittently. The inputs would often get confused and we would hear a different input then we were trying to watch. I had high hopes for this soundbar, but ended up returning in the end. I will not purchase another Vizio soundbar.
