Fantastic soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last week, I purchased a Sony soundbar (thinking it was the way to go since Sony is well known for audio) but there was about a half-second audio lag and the audio wasn't that great. I returned it and decided to spend a few extra dollars on this, and I am happy I did! When I set the soundbar up, I immediately checked to see if there was any audio lag and to my pleasure, there was not! The sound is phenomenal and having the extra two speakers and the subwoofer really makes the sound fill the room. The only thing about this system is that the set-up in a little challenging, however, the manual does a good job walking you through everything. I've already recommended this device to several of my friends who are in the market for a better sound system. Thanks Vizio for making such an incredible product!

Great Price for what you get
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this soundbar to replace a seven year old home theater in a box. Boy I did not regret it. Set up is a snap, all the cables you should need are in the box. The first thing I tried it on was my Xbox One S. I didn't realize what I was missing without the surround sound. Switching to the TV was flawless as well as my other odds and ends I have hooked up. I thought the remote was kind of cool it has an LED panel on it that tells you what mode it you are using. I downloaded the APP which is great (you may need the app to set up the wifi, not sure). Over all it sounds better than most of the stuff they have at Best Buy under $699 Bravo Vizo.

Phenomenal. Brilliant sound! Functionality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this during Black Friday, and it was a steal for $119! I loved it so much, I bought one for my bedroom. Phenomenal sound without compromise. Base, subwoofer both offer great boom and excellent lows, while the mid's and highs are crisp for great dialogue expression via TV or through music. The bluetooth functionality is excellent, the google home pairing is a game changer, and the smart cast app is wonderfully designed. Easy set up, and pairing. I loved it so much I bought 2. Only complaint is the audio doesn't always matchup with my 55" 2017 LG OLED TV via HDMI/ARC. If you want to have full control, use Arc, and try to time the sound audio delay with your tv to see if you can match it up, if you experience one. But if you don't mind having control over your soundbar audio with your TV remote, recommend you plug this into standard HDMI port on your TV, or use an optical cable.

great sound for the money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very easy to set up with amazing sound for the price. I purchased this unit in 2019 and it survived a move and has been connected to 3 tvs. sadly, the main bar is no longer powering on and the unit is out of commission. Great buy for the price and cant beat almost 3 year of constant use.

Pretty good sound system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty solid system especially for the price. I got it on sale for under $175. The sub is small but surprisingly powerful. It puts out a lot more bass than I was expecting. The surround speakers are great, the soundbar is great. I live in an apartment so this is more than sufficient. I haven't had to turn it up past 25% and it sounds pretty dang good! A lot of what I watch, the voice doesn't match up with the lips, but it has a delay adjustment which solves the problem so that's a great feature but seems I have to adjust it a lot. CONS: The pairing with wi-fi was a little troublesome. It says it will work with wi-fi but I couldn't get it to, I had to use Bluetooth. Once you learn the remote, adjustments are fairly easy however there's no digital display to know which setting you're on, there's just vertical lights and each one will light up to which level you're on. 1 light, 2 lights, 3 lights, etc. Again with the remote, there's no light so you have to have the lights on or a flashlight to see it. There's an app you can download on your phone that shows you the number adjustments so it's easier, but again mine wouldn't work over wi-fi, I had to turn on Bluetooth on my phone, then hit the pairing button on the remote, then it connects, then you can use the app and to adjust the levels using the app, I have to connect to it that way every single time which is annoying. But overall I'm happy with the purchase and it's a pretty solid system.

Why pay more?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this (on sale for under $200!) to go with our new Vizio 65" UHD TV. My previous surround system consisted of an A/V receiver and a Mirage 5.1- speaker system, costing 5 times what I paid for this. This sounds just as good and doesn't require running wires from the front of the room to the rear surround speakers. The sub, which connects wirelessly to the soundbar, is in the back of the room, with the surround speakers wired directly into it. The system is capable of delivering great bass and can easily fill our living room with life-like sound. I highly recommend it.

Good decent mid-range soundbar with 5.1...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Vizio soundboard on a whim I tend to have a lot of compulsive buys when I'm in electronic stores particularly best buy lol... Anyways it turned out to be a good buy, for the low price I paid for it... The subwoofer is 100% witless and a breeze to connect to the bar, it handles all levels of bass decent, some really low stuff causes slight distortion if you crank the bass on the EQ up to far... The rear wireless speakers handle the task of cloneing 5.1 surround very well, there nor 100% wireles they do have to connect to the subwoofer but they come with extra long cords and mounting hardware so set up I'd a breeze... The sound bar itself is awesome it's sleek modern and very accurate with all sound out put especially Movies and TV.. Music is its weaker side but it handles it well too! I did extensive reviews after I bought this System and many people compare it to models that are 2-300 dollars higher in price than this particular model! So if your looking for a great unit under 300 dollars and want a all in one package don't look anywhere else!

Descent but aggrivating
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has OK sound quality and the sub has deeper bass than I thought it would for it's size. That is when the sub and surrounds work. The sub randomly losses it's pairing with the bar and since it is what drives the satellites they go with it. I could move it next to my couch instead of behind it but that defeats the purpose of buying this system for me. I wanted to tuck the sub in the corner behind the sectional. But, with the Bluetooth of this unit being absolutely the worst Bluetooth I have seen, that isn't working. why is it that my phone will connect to a light bulb and play music in my bathroom several rooms and walls away but this sub will not stay paired to unit 20 ft or less away unless it has line of sight? I will keep this unit and put it in a bedroom. I will have to be a bit more careful while shopping for its replacement.

Patience is the key
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am going to be brutally honest, key word honest. Here are the problems I’ve ran into. 1: sub roofer rear speakers not working. Super easy fix..unplug both sound bar and subwoofer. Problem resolved. 2: subwoofer just shuts off. Paired unpaired make sure it’s not paired to tv, phone ,tablet...etc 3: sound bar and subwoofer not playing sound. Find an input where the sound is coming through the air waves. Then go back to original source. Works every time. Issue could be the t.v. Not the sound bar. Whenever you use bluthooth you know sometimes there’s minor issues. Also if you are in a small room turn all the extras off. Trusound, vrtx, night mode. Control the rest with the app. Doesn’t get crazy loud or where you are always changing volume. Still sounds incredible All these negative reviews are not fair. My sound bar works perfectly for weeks on end, then every once in a while I have to do one of the easy steps For the price and the sound it produces it is extremely worth it. I am an I.T. . Guy so all this seems easy. But I have had multiple sound bars all with glitches. Roll the dice or just do these simple tasks. Pretend your washing your car only it takes a lot less time. Not a pain in the butt, just a pimple needing popped!

Great Quality, difficult set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for Christmas to pair with my vizio TV. Getting this set up was pretty difficult, I’m pretty up to date with technology and typically don’t have difficulty setting new technology up. But this, however, took about 30 minutes or so to figure out. You have to play around with multiple options on your tv until you get it to sync and play sound through the sound bar. Highly recommend googling/YouTubing a tutorial to complete. It’s great for music, great for gaming, and sports so far. I hope this continues to work as well as it has the past few days. Would recommend to someone who’s on a budget or may have a vizio TV product. I would imagine having shared manufacturer products is an easier set up than crossing manufacturer products. Hope this helps!

Sounds GREAT, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD: The price point is excellent. Full sounding bass (when subwoofer is properly located) and detailed highs. Bluetooth sub and rear speakers make it very convenient to connect without drilling holes in the floor and/or wall of your home. Small footprint for front and rear speakers, yet a BIG sound. Smartcast works well. THE BAD: Using the sound bar with a TCL 75" Series 6 television came with a multitude of constant issues over 3 months of owning this soundbar... 1) Constant audio delay issues causing the sound to be out of synch with the television WAY too often. I could watch one single channel and have to re-synch the audio using the "AV Delay" control on the remote a few times in a single couple hour show. I wish TCL would update Smartcast to be able to allow users to shut down the audio delay circuit altogether. I never had this issue with my Vizio 36" 2.1 soundbar which has no AV Delay adjustment. 2) Volume decreasing issues, requiring a "soft reboot" using Smartcast. Once rebooted, the volume would come back up as normal. 3) The soundbar turning itself on after I would shut down the entertainment center, many times in the middle of the night requiring me to wake up and have to shut it off. It appears there must be some kind of an issue with the soundbar's ARC to TV handshake because after I attached it to a standard HDMI input on the TV and shut off the ARC circuit in the TV, these problems disappeared. The inconvenience is...I now need the Vizio remote to control the soundbar's volume rather than being able to use the volume control on the TV's remote, but exchanging this inconvenience with all the other soundbar issues makes my life a bit less frustrating. THE UGLY: Vizio...PLEASE address these issues in future firmware updates. Most people won't have the patience like I do and will return the product very disappointed.

Posted .Fathernature 59, Thank you for taking the time to review our product. In regards to having to use multiple remotes, this sound bar does have the ability to "Learn Commands" from TV's remote. Page 25 of the included Quick Start Guide has some instructions on programming the sound bar to learn to respond to TV's remote.

Best Bass for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best comparible sound to the more expensive Bose system. She setup was a little more inclusive to other brands but well worth the price and with great sound and bass. HDMI-ARK cable and Digital Optical both tested great, although its best to only run the hdmi-ark from the TV and not the the system as it did not support HDR settings thought the bar.

Quirky but gets the job done.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this from the Grove City Store on September 16, 2018. I wanted a new soundbar to go with my Vizio TV. This one has a great sound and is priced well for a 5.1 setup. I have had the power off bug that others have talked about but a reboot takes care of it for several months and then I have to do it again. I have also experienced a lipsync issue as well but I found that it mostly deals with OTA broadcast channels and I think my antenna is just not cutting it. I have compared my local CBS station on antenna vs. my local CBS station streaming through CBS All Access and found that streaming has no lipsync issues.

Great Soundbar with True 5.1 Surround Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m a tech-brand snob and have always gone with the big names over upstarts, lesser knowns, or cheap brands. Until 2016 I lumped Vizio into that group, but after checking out the M-Series HDR display, my tune changed. Vizio is a solid tech provider, and its 2017 Model 36-inch 5.1 VIZIO SmartCast Wireless Sound Bar System is further proof that this once cheap brand should be considered to have the same quality as Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic. If you need a sound bar that gives you full on 5.1 surround sound that can rival traditional surround sound setups, then look no further than Vizio’s new unit. *Vizio provided a sample unit for the purposes of this review.
