Sound quality is amazing, setup was a breeze. My first home theatre system & absolutely love it out of the box. Best part is easy Bluetooth pair with my phone to play music in the house. Movie surround incredible too. JUST BUY IT - for $200 totally worth it!

1st sound bar & the experience hasn’t been good. We hoped to enhance DIALOG for my hearing impaired 93-year-old Mom & thought a sound bar would help with that; nope. We learned that our large room & furniture set up is not ideal for sound bar usage. Our sofa is near the center of the great room, approximately 12 feet from both the front facing & rear walls. If you don’t mind a long electrical extension cord from the wall to your subwoofer you’d be good to go. We opted to NOT have a tripping hazard so the subwoofer & both speakers are by necessity placed near rear & side walls, not close to the sofa at all, so we can’t lower the volume as we’d like. We have an optical cord that is stuck in our Vizio TV’s port when it failed to provide any audio & now dangles uselessly & could not be removed (seems to be an issue with the quality of the optical cable Vizio provides, reddit has posts about this). We also experience another known issue when using the HDMI ARC cable – the audio cuts out sporadically & we notice an audio ‘time lag’ when switching stations, especially when switching between PIP channels. Our attempt to increase dialog failed partly due to our sofa not being up against a wall with an outlet, known issues with the sound bar model we purchased & the fact that Audio Engineers have not agreed to give dialog its own separate channel. Some day we may be able to adjust the levels for treble, bass & DIALOG but that’s not today! The surround sound for effects, footsteps, creaky doors, explosions, does come from all around & the overall sound quality is good so if that’s what you’re looking for you may be pleased.

I picked up this TV at the local Plymouth Meeting Best Buy and the Salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. However, the TV would not fit in the back seat of the car and had to be put in the trunk. After strapping it in with bungee cords and travelling slowly home, it arrived unscathed! I unpacked it and it was easy to set-up. I also bought the 36" Visio 5/1 Sound Bar system and it paired nicely. It literally sounds like a theater in my living room. I did call the Visio help desk on the correct pairing sequence which was executed seamlessly. I also had to call the FIOS people to make sure I had the correct code for Visio products in my cable box. All was synched in the end and I am enjoying a beautiful home theater TV and Sound System! The App was easy to upload, as well. Nice job Visio! Jack M.

Exchanged that small Sony unit for this today. So happy I did! I love this system! Set up and balancing the speakers is easy. It looks great with my TCL series 6 TV. I did have to fiddle with some settings to get the ARC connection to work, but once I did I tested it with The Last Jedi intro, and boy this thing kicks! Dialogue was clear, surround speakers well balanced, and the sub really thumps. It’s well balanced bass too. While watching the movie explosions were felt but the sub never over powered the dialogue. Details were still heard, but my family claimed it shook the house! Nice!

I cant believe this soundbar sells for less than $200 . Great sound and the perfect fit for the living room . Highly recommended. The long term durability is the only question that pops up , but only time can tell .

After much research, I decided to go with Vizio (over LG, Samsung, Sony). I have been under the misconception that Vizio makes second class products, so I was initially apprehensive about my purchase. The product arrived on time and was in excellent condition as described. I was able to set up the sound bar system in less than 10 minutes with little guidance from the manual (if you've set up one before, it's pretty easy). The sound was robust and rich. The subwoofer paired instantly. I was also happy to have to surround speakers. overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I appreciate the vizio smartcast app where I can fine tune the sound (treble, bass, volume, etc). Highly recommend.

I like it so much i bought it twice, it produce clear and precise surround, thats highly tunable on the remote, makes great bass and highs, the only negative is that the remote is not backlit, and every now and then it shuts down during long silences, if you get unit that does this swap it out.

I have used vizio sound bar in the past. This is probably one of the best one. It has great surround system, wireless subwoofer, satellite speakers and affordable. I'm giving 4 stars because of the remote. Its very hard to see special functions on the remote when its dark. Vizio should add a light. I recommend this sound bar.

This is amazing. I am honestly stunned by the quality of the sound. Volumes are loud. Audio is Rich. Sound tested with Bohemian Rhapsody Live Aid concert and I felt more like I was there than when I watched it on the theater. It is very easy to setup and the rear speaker cables are more than long enough, o was surprised they reach considering how far the right rear has to run to reach the woofer. Truly amazing.

Vizio provided me a sound bar in exchange for an honest review. We tested it out with Star Wars: A New Hope and the difference between the TV by itself and with the sound bar was amazing. A bonus for us was that you can cast various apps without having to keep the TV on. This helped my son (who has major focusing issues) stay focused on his homework instead of watching the dancing TV screen. Overall very satisfied with this item.

This sound bar and subwoofer has been great! I did buy it as OPENED BOX but it was in perfect condition nothing wrong with it and it sounds great. Definitely happy with the purchase I’ve had a ton of time to actually put it to use and I have not been disappointed.

We were just looking to use a gift card and bought this unit on sale. Bestbuy even price matched a better deal online. This has been a much better purchase than we expected. The sound is great and the bass shakes the room in a good way. The app is easy to use with lots of additional settings. Overall we highly recommend, it will transform your tv.

GREAT sound for new 65 inch TV in living room. We purchased two other systems during the same week/prior to this one. A Samsung and an LG, but neither gave a good sound quality or surround sound. The Vizio system absolutely excelled with movies, NFL games, and regular cable stations. VERY PLEASED with the purchase and for less money than the Samsung.

Great system once you get set up. The App helps a lot with the settings. Has a lot of low end power so you don't have to turn it up too high. I would have given it 5 stars, but the cheap optical Vizio cord that came with the unit jammed in to the optical port on the back of my barely 1 year old Samsung 55" UHD, and broke the port when I pulled it out. So, I had to use the ARC HDMI output, which has better sound anyways; but you lose an HDMI port (TV has 3). Now, I have to use a HDMI switch for XBOX and Satellite, and Bluray/UHD player for the 3rd port. A simple setup turned into a big hassle just because of that optical cord!

Man honestly when I first heard of people buying sound bars, I thought it was a waste of money and the tv speakers sounded just fine. Boy was I wrong, This sound bar system literally made my room sound like a movie theater. Now a lot of movies are actually re watchable now that I have a theatre effect in my room! Its great for when Im playing on xbox live and I don't want to hear the music from 2k or the repetitive gun shots from call of duty. I can just pair my phone to the sound bar with my remote and I can stream music from my apple music playlist! As far as people complaining about it shutting off even if eco mode is on. Mines shuts off when it doesnt receive audio from the tv for long periods of time which is understandable and you can literally just turn it back on with the remote. It never just shuts off in the middle of it playing audio. Its not a big deal. Its just like an apple tv shutting off after not being used.

As usual, Vizio soundbars are amazing sound quality and always sound great. The two speakers added in the rear definitely give an amazing surround sound experience and the sub does not lack at all considering it's only a 5 inch woofer. Would definitely buy a second pair for a second room.

This is the first surround sound system I've ever purchased, so I wanted something that wasn't a huge investment but would get the job done. After doing a lot of research I went with these because of the compact design and lack of wires. Very first night I set them up I watched a Star Wars movie and couldn't be more impressed. After going years using only TV speakers, this surround sound really puts you right inside the movie. Every piece of dialogue is clear, you feel every explosion, and you really feel like you're in your own personal movie theater. I'm sure that there are some benefits with higher priced options, but these are so loud that I only turn them to 50% volume to avoid bothering my neighbors. If you're looking for a starter surround sound system, this is the one. And I absolutely think the 5.1 is necessary after trying the soundbar alone. Something about the bass of the subwoofer makes the experience 10x better.
