    I recently purchased this system on Black Friday for the obvious price point. After initial set-up and testing, I was pleased with what I heard. I work a lot during the week so didnt get a lot of use out of it the first week. Skip 8 days ahead and I finally had a good day to give it a solid go. After 3 hours of use, the subwoofer blew. I packed it all in the box and with the system and receipt in hand, headed back to best buy where they promptly replaced it with a new one. I get it back home and hooked back up, set the subwoofer volume and bass to half (so I didnt blow the speaker again) and set the soundbar at a reasonable volume only for the subwoofer to blow out again, causing me to turn the volume almost all the way down to avoid punting the sub through the wall. As stated in the summary, you get what you pay for. I would not recommended this product and will be returning for a refund this afternoon.

    Disappointed in Vizio Sound Bar

    We finally got our SB3651-E6 Vizio sound bar set up to our liking after several months. Set up was per instructions and recently we connected with a HDMI cable. Since that time, the Vizio television and sound bar shut off while we are watching. The cure: disconnect the sound bar. What a waste of money that was.

    2 Star rating for this nice piece of equipment unfortunately. I like everything about this sound bar except I have this connected to a Vizio TV and the HDMI ARC controller is malfunctional. This is a known issue that has been around for a while, you can find out more about it on reddit. The sound bar shuts off every 4 to 5 hours of use. I can be in the middle of watching a movie and the sound bar just shuts off. At first I thought this was an eco-star setting that was doing it, when eco-star was enabled it was shutting off whenever I exited any video playing apps like youtube or Netflix. After disabling the eco-star it only shuts off randomly, no matter what I'm doing.

    For the money hard to beat gets pretty loud and quality of sound is very good the 5" subwoofer hits good and low for such a small driver very happy with purchase !

    Poor and disappointing choice

    Would highly recommend NOT buying this device. I was excited to get this new sound bar home and have fun watching movies, etc. Set up was normal. Then the trouble started: (I’ve seen many reviews citing these problems and wish I would have read or believed them.) The system shuts itself off periodically with no rhyme or reason. Often times when you power off the unit will not power back in until you unplug it and plug it back in. The Audio will simply decide to stop even if the unit is on. On occasion a high pitched noise will happen and stay on. Sometimes there are pops and clicks at random. And yes, I tried every imaginable connection option and spent a long time speaking with Verizon costumer service. They were friendly but unable to solve the problems. Did I mention the Bluetooth would not pair with any device no matter what problem solving I tried with costumer service. I have no reason to post a bad review except to hopefully help others not go through the disappointment of this failing device. I like my Vizio TV’s but this is a big “no”!

    Purchased this sound bar system to upgrade over the built-in speakers in my Insignia TV which had begun to crackle after 3-4 years of use. Never purchased a Vizio product before but I had only heard good things so I chose this setup. I regret it, I wish I had spent more money on a better system. After installation I tuned the audio settings to my preferences and only used it at low volume for the first few hours to let it “break in” as I do with all speakers. After only a couple days the sound bar started to crackle every now and then just like my TV speakers did. I’ve never abused this system our used it over half volume for more than a few minutes at a time. I’ve played with all the audio settings and have not been able to tune it out.

    Spend a little extra and get something different. I was very dis satisfied with the sound from the sub and rear speakers. The sound bar itself sounded okay, but I found a samsung 550 model on open box for $5 less and it is far more supiorior than this unit.

    Disconnects Randomly from TV

    I was so excited to finally get a sound bar for our TV, but quickly realized something isn’t right. I have turned off eco mode and installed according to directions. The speakers sound great until they randomly disconnect from the TV without warning. The reverse also happens and they will reconnect again. Something’s not right! Don’t waste your money.

    Vizio gave my soundbar a mind of its own. TruVolume is actually SkyNet taking over in real life. No combination of settings will keep TruVolume from taking over.

    If you're looking for a decent soundbar only, it's not a bad deal. However if you're looking to make use of all the speakers and get 5.1 surround sound, this is not a good option. The back speakers barely make any noise except for static. It's very frustrating that there's no option to turn them up. I literately had to hold them 6" from my ears in order to enjoy them. Any further than 2' and you can't hear them at all. I'm going to return it to Best Buy.

    Great soundbar for a couple of years

    This soundbar seemed to be doing the job for a few years. But, recently it has decided that the unit will not function properly. I have to remove the power cable for an hour, plug back in, and every blue moon the sound will work. Usually, when I can get the device to turn on, no sound will come out, when I push the volume button the remote or the device, the soundbar shuts off. Power cycling etc does nothing to clear the problem. I'll never buy another VIZEO soundbar again.

    Great sound, but I have to reset it every day

    I have had this for 5 months. I noticed the rear speakers stopped working maybe 2 months after I bought. I did a speaker test and the speakers worked...but when I went to watch a movie, no sound came out of the rear speakers. After researching, I found this was a common problem. To solve it, you have to reset to factory. I now have to reset to factory at least once a day. For that, I cannot recommend this product. Great sound for a smaller space, but frustrating because it does not work properly.

    Clear sound, no bass

    I bought this to replace my Samsung sound bar b.c. it has an extra 2 speakers to spread out amongst my barbershop but it couldn't stand up to what my Samsung was putting out. The bass from this sub is sugar, and would distort whenever a low bass line lasted longer than a second. It sounded good during most movies until there was a dramatic scene and then the sub would start crackling. The same would happen when playing music. I took it back and still use the Samsung until I can figure out what sound bar system will meet my needs.

    Tons of issues

    If it actually worked as intended this would be a great product. But, for one, the HDMI ports don't work in any circumstance. ARC has a bad delay to it, and HDMI passthrough either doesn't work or only shows in a super low resolution (like 640x480). People say HDMI and optical should sound the same, but the optical really doesn't sound very good. With HDMI it sounds pretty awesome, but the delay ruins it. With optical it sounds pretty distorted and the balance of sounds seems way off. Like in games some sounds, like even the menus, are so quiet you have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it. Had numerous issues trying to use Chromecast, it cuts out constantly. I have a small apartment with a decent router, so it shouldn't be a wifi issue, all of my other devices also work fine. Spent hours trying every setting, making sure the firmware was upgraded, and different configurations, and it ended up just being a waste of time. No point in calling Vizio support. Will most likely just tell me to do everything I've already done and then say I can send it in or something. Going to just return it, and hope this can be a warning to others not to waste your time. First time buying a Vizio product. Assumptions were right that it's cheap garbage.

    Easy to install however, the remote died within 3 weeks. Vizio sent out a replacement quickly but that one died within 2 days. Were in the process of trying to get the whole thing replaced. On a plus note, customer service on the phone has been awesome, and the sound of the system isn't too bad. Huge improvement over the stock TV speakers.

    This is definitely one time I wish I would have paid more attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews of this product as they are absolutely correct. I could not for the life of me understand why the entire unit would just shut off by itself with no power save on, plugged directly into wall, plugged into surge protector, tried everything. Satellite speakers and subwoofer are powered on and give no feedback. I have been a Vizio consumer for quite some time and have praised many of their products but this has by far been the biggest disappointment I have experienced. Not to mention I have only had this particular unit since the first week of November. I will be reaching out to Vizio for a full refund and will be trying out something new. Extremely disappointed, wanted it to work out, I tried/troubleshot everything before succumbing to this.
