I was originally looking for just a Soundbar/sub-woofer combo but came across this adding two surround sound speakers and I'm glad I did. Setup was a breeze, and the wiring was very convenient for me since the Subwoofer is wireless and the 2 satellite speakers plug into the subwoofer, not the soundbar. So it was a lot easier to have wires behind me instead of having to snake towards the front where the TV was. I paired this new system with my new TV, which was a TCL 6-Series Roku 55inch. I initially had some audio synchronization issues. After resetting the soundbar and messing with the audio options in the TV, I realized that I had to change the Audio from "Auto" to whatever the second to last option was. Apparently the bottom option (which would theoretically be the most advanced) was causing a lag so I chose the option above it and have never had any issues since (and yes surround sound still works very well). I do have it setup with my TV through ARC HDMI so my TV can turn it on/off, although I have noticed sometimes it doesn't turn off when the TV turns off (the soundbar does but the subwoofer doesn't, then the system turns back on in standby). To solve this I had to turn on "Eco" mode with the soundbar but the issue here is that if I mute the TV for something and then go to un-mute it, the soundbar will have turned itself off if enough time passed. Overall I'm very happy. I'm sure there are more advanced systems, but for the cost and fullness of sound, you can't beat it. One of the first things we watched had a doorbell ring in the episode, but it only came out of the left side speaker which happened to be where our front door was located. My whole family turned to look to see who was at the door before we realized it was the show! Very cool

Great Sound until it stop's responding

I have connected this Visio Soundbar SB3651-E6 to my Visio P65 and have been having issues with sound dropping out when switching inputs and then the TV stops responding (freezes) and I have to unplug the TV, hold the power button in for 10 seconds then plug it back in then it returns to normal. I have connected HDMI ARC out on the Soundbar to the TV's #1 HDMI input then I connected my Frontier FIOS Video Server to HDMI in on the Soundbar. I also have my computer plugged into HDMI #2 on the TV and Amazon's Fire Stick plugged into HDMI #4 on the TV. The problem starts when switching inputs between devices, the picture always remains on but the sound stops working and I have to reset the soundbar by unplugging the power cable from the soundbar then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (that resets it) plug the power cable back in turn it back on then it starts working OK again. I have it setup this way because when I tell Alexa (yes I also have Alexa connected) to turn on or off the TV both the TV and Soundbar respond respectively, that's because it's using ARC. If I use Optical in from the TV to the Soundbar I can remove both HDMI cables from the Soundbar and plug my Frontier box directly into HDMI #1 , The problem with this connection scenario is that you have to increase the volume almost double then when it's connected thru HDMI and turning the TV and Soundbar on or off together using Alexa will not work!, only the TV shuts off, the Soundbar remains on until you shut it off with the remote or use the power button directly on the Soundbar. When it is working the sound is incredible, much better than using the internal speakers, surround sound is great. Connecting the soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers was very easy too. I hope Visio has a fix for this ASAP.

Very easy to set up. Works very well-known with great sound. While the subwoofer is wireless, the rear satellites are not. They connect to woofer with writer. Not a significant detractors. Highly recommend.

Unless your a snob, I can't tell the difference between this system and my previous super expensive sound bar that I gave to my son. It's perfect for the room and I've been extremely happy with it whether watching movies, both action (loud explosions/crashes) or drama (with lots of whispering), or playing the music channels.

The sound quality coming out of this system is fantastic, takes my movies watching to a whole other level of enjoyment. The only reason I didn't give this product a full five stars is simply due to the confusion I encountered during the setup process. The remote control that comes with the system was a bit confusing at first but with more consistent use I've become more comfortable with the system.

The Vizio SB3651-E6 is a great sounding soundbar for the price. I purchased the open box special on Best Buy.com. When it arrived, it was in excellent condition in the box. Set up was easy and I had all of the cables that I needed for the setup. I connected the soundbar to my TCL 55 inch 4K TV via the optical cable I was able to sync up the Smart Cast app to the sound bar but I could not get it to cast music from iHeartRadio to the soundbar. I think the problem is with the smart cast app not the soundbar itself. Anyway the soundbar works fine without it! The soundbar sounds great and has good surroundsound and excellent bass from subwoofer. I can go into the app and adjust the settings like the treble, bass, etc. For the price I can’t complain so I highly recommend it!

This soundbar system is extremely well priced for the level of sound quality you get in return. If you are coming from TV audio only, the improvement will feel like you're getting theater quality sound. I'm sure there are better (and more expensive!) options out there, but unless you've grown used to higher end audio, you probably would not notice the difference. For years I'd listen to TV audio only and have trouble hearing the dialogue no matter the volume. With the soundbar, you can hear the dialogue clearly even in low to medium volume, the bass from the subwoofer is a huge improvement I never knew I needed, and the surround sound speakers are a delightful addition. If you don't consider yourself an audiophile and you're just a normal person like me who appreciates good sound quality, then skip the more expensive options and get this. In my experience with electronics, you get diminishing returns with only incremental improvements on the high-end expensive stuff. For most people, this will be more than enough.

I researched sound bars until i couldn't see straight and after listening to several and reading lots of reviews, i chose this one. It was one of the least expensive 5.1 channel systems but the sound quality is awesome. The set up was pretty straight forward and easy enough for a non-techy brain to figure out. My living room is about 350 sq ft and at half volume, the sound comes through like a movie theater. At full volume with my windows open, the neighbors down the street can hear my music. (Not recommended unless your neighbors are cool). The only thing i don't love is that while the sub is wireless from the sound bar, the speakers have wires to connect to the sub. I'm still trying to figure out how to achieve surround sound but hide the wires (which are black and 3x as thick as traditional white speaker wires). Overall, very happy with this purchase and will be completely satisfied when i hide the speaker wires.

After reading numerous reviews on a number of soundbars, I settled on this one. While I almost purchased the cheaper Vizio 36" soundbar system, I wanted the built-in Chromecast Audio and HDMI-ARC of this model. I'm glad I chose this system - I've been using the Chromecast Audio function nearly every day, and the overall sound and user experience of this model is excellent. It took me a day or two of tweaking the sound settings to my liking, but this system really does sound excellent with both movies and music. The dedicated center channel speaker is great for dialogue, and the surround sound is pretty neat. This system gets LOUD and puts out tons of base - so much so that I've had to turn down the subwoofer so as not to disturb my neighbors. You certainly won't be wanting for loudness/volume. Thankfully the audio and dialogue is clear enough that I can keep the volume at lower levels without struggling to hear things. Using HDMI-ARC has successfully allowed me to control volume with my Roku TV remote. The TV also turns the soundbar on and off when the TV turns on and off, which is nice. It means that I only need the Roku TV remote, and didn't have to purchase another universal remote. That said, the Vizio remote is very responsive, and I do use it, mostly to control volume and play/pause/skip when listening to music via Chromecast. I only have a few complaints. While the wifi/Chromecast/Vizio app control works most of the time, they aren't perfect and occasionally become unresponsive. It's unclear if it's the soundbar or my wifi network, but perfect reliability is hard to come by with wifi devices anyway. Trying to connect a few times, or trying through the Vizio app instead of Spotify (or vice versa) often helps. If all else fails, a router reboot and soundbar reboot can help. Again, in my experience, this is par for the course with wifi-connected products, and probably has more to do with using wifi in an apartment complex than with the soundbar itself. Second, the soundbar does randomly turn off every now and again. This has only happened while watching TV for longer periods of time without adjusting the volume. SlingTV on my Roku TV seems to be a particular culprit. I have the soundbar connected via HDMI-ARC, and some internet sleuthing suggests that this may be an HDMI-ARC quirk. It's a little annoying, and it would be nice if Vizio would release a bug fix, but the soundbar turns back on almost instantly with the remote, so I'll live. Finally, as some reviews point out, this system is not plug-and-play. Since it really is a 5.1 system, there's a lot of tweaking of speaker levels, bass/treble/sub levels, etc. to be done to produce the best sound. I found the default settings to be too heavy on the low and high ends for both music and movies, but after adjusting things, I'm quite pleased with the sound. The Vizio app is a huge boon, much easier to adjust settings in the app than with the remote. The soundbar automatically switches from Movie to Music sound profiles (and bass/treble settings) as you switch between inputs, which is great, but the sub/speaker level settings don't switch - so you'll have to tune these settings to best balance music and movies. Even with a few quibbles, I'm pleased with this system, and I agree with the reviewers that list this as the best system under $500 or so.

This system sounds AMAZING!!! I caught the Cyber Monday deal for $150.00 My two complaints would be that the Bluetooth pairing to your cell phone can be a pain. But I am still on the iPhone7, so it could be more on my end. I called customer service, and it was still somewhat of a difficult process, but she did get me up and running. Customer Service A++++ And also the display on the remote is almost useless, can't believe they didn't include some type of backlight for it. I am seriously considering getting another one for my bedroom. Also, I was seriously considering the Bose Lifestyle system at 30 X's the cost of this unit. I'm sure I would get a slightly better sound out of the Bose (Maybe). But the reviews were not good on it for what it cost. Great Job VIZIO!!!!

I paid 165 dollars after tax, and for the price, this is unbeatable. The set up was very easy, and it has a very warm, rich sound. The bass is deep, and it sounds very nice when directly behind you. I honestly don't sit in front of the TV much, but this will change that.

I got this last year and the sound is pretty great. Sometimes I'll be watching a movie and wonder what the heck is going on outside my window, only to find out the noises were part of my surround sound lol that's happened more than once. I usually can set things like this up myself but I had a little trouble setting up and needed to have my bf assist but he was able to doing it quickly. My only complaint is that the words on the remote is so dim and hard to read and also i feel like when i am flipping through the inputs, I feel like the audio doesn't connect right away and i usually have to try several times. That being said, once it does connect, the audio is loud and clear. I also like that the sound bar will turn itself off if you leave it paused for an extended time.

I bought this same system for my family room about six months ago. When I saw it on sale, I picked up another for my office/den. It's a great value at full price. And on sale, it's even better! Installation is easy and the integration with my Sony & TCL remotes is seamless. The sound quality rivals soundbars at twice the price.

This surround sound system has really enchaced my tv, movie, and gaming experience. Having the sub being seperate for the main sound bar is great. It allowed me to easily place the sub and the two back speakers with ease. Allows to hide the wires for the two back speakers behind my couch. Great sound for great price. Also the blu tooth feature is great for connecting spotify or pandora with my phone.

So I initially ordered from my local store, but later found out it was out of stock so I had to to drive 20 miles to get my item frustrating. Even though it said it was in stock at my local. Anyways this is a great system for the price it does pack a punch with BASS especially for movies and music. Sometimes the system mutes itself I still can't figure out why that happens, my guess it times itself out and goes to sleep after a certain time. But still unsure. If you want to save money even more the Sub and soundbar alone is great also the satellite speakers just add for more surround sound. On another note I would buy the protect plan by Geek Squad just in case its pretty cheap for 2 years though. I would recommend this SOUNDBAR TO ANYONE ..

Small to medium room? Cost concerns? This 4 piece setup, with everything to complete the sound system. The good is this soundbar, along with satellite speakers, and subwoofer pack a surprisingly nice sound stage. With plenty of punch, and clarity. I rated this setup 5 star, on sound. And quality alone. The not so good, for me, was the soundbar shut down on me, while connected to my 4k tv arc HDMI. I was unable to get it to come back on that route. I changed over to the optical cable, and it is a pain because that way you need to separately turn on the soundbar each time, when starting my tv viewing. One separate nicety is wireless sub. With only having the satellite speakers wired. No cables running across the floor, from the tv back.

I finally went away from the traditional 5.1 surround sound that includes a ton of wires, and too much work to hide them. This unit has very solid clarity when listening to show/movie talking scenes and dialogue, and also enough bass to get the job done for music scenes or just regular music streaming. Two speakers connect to the wireless sub which made it easy to hide without wires and place in a good spot for a solid surround sound experience.

The sound is really good an overall I like the sound bar. Couple issues, you have to do everything with the remote which is kind of flimsy. Also it shuts off by itself all the time. I have energy saver according to the remote off so it should not be doing this. So far this is the only issues i have with this sound bar. Really good sound especially if you are using blue ray or 4g videos. I like the loud movie sound and this works great.

I upgraded finally from a LG 2.1 channel soundbar to this system. To be honest, I'm blown away. I'm very happy with the purchase. From the chromecast integration, to the ability to tweak each speaker and the great subwoofer sound, it is more than worth the price of admission. Anyone with an aging soundbar setup that is looking for an upgrade, I highly recommend this one. You get all the cables you need with this strait out of the box, and setup is a breeze with the vizio smartcast app. I dont make impulse purchases, and I read reviews for months on many soundbar systems, and for the money..this one is well worth it. Highly recommended. But I got the last one at my local Bestbuy...so if your in the market for this and interested...I suggest you buy one now
