They appreciate the clear sound, simple installation, affordability, and strong bass. However, customers are negative about the connectivity, remote control, durability, and auto power-off feature. The sound is great love it. The remote kinda sucks. U cant see the display on it. U need light. It would of been nice if they add a back light on the remote. The voice control is just OK. But works.

Needed a speaker for the TV, Never had a surround system before, wanted to give it a try. This is pretty much the cheapest 5.1 system I could find from a known brand, and it’s great. Movies are so much more fun with bass and surround sound. I also use it for music, and it’s fantastic while sitting in the surround sound, and also loud enough to fill most of the house. The bass is more than enough for movies, and sufficient for music, unless you really want to rattle the windows and wake the neighbors. IMO it’s way better than getting a 2.1 or 2.0 system from a fancier brand for the same or higher price. Really a good value. Just do it!

Great sound system for the price. Satellite speakers have great sound quality and sub woofer is very punchy. The sound bar is also very clear with deep lows and crisp highs.

Right out of the box with little to no adjustment of sound, this set made a world of difference watching movies and even tv in the living room. Great "bang" for the buck!

Good price for surround sounds, only issue is it turns off when movie is paused so we have to turn it on again, once movie is played. Besides that, it’s a good buy.

We have this 5.1 in our master bedroom. We have the bass turned down and it still rumbles the room. The sound of this unit for the price is great. Setup is very simple and quick. The back surround satellite speakers plug into the sub so do not think they are completely wireless. We use the Arc HDMI function so we dont ever use the vizio remote. We just use the TV remote and it controls the volume. It comes with the mounting hardware and all cables you would need. Only other thing you might need for this would be speaker stands for the satellite speakers.

<Disclosure: I did end up returning the system after a few days in favor of a dedicated receiver/speakers, but rating the product objectively even though it did not meet *my* expectations>.
I was looking for a replacement audio system for an older Bose Cinemate II system. Wanted the HDMI ARC ability to be able to turn on the TV and sound system automatically. This system does have all that along with a nice contemporary design. Looked good sitting under my 55” Sony TV. Not too wide or small. Sound was not all that bad AFTER you adjust the settings to your liking. Will take some time to play around tweaking things as there are a number of settings beyond simple bass and treble. Setup was pretty easy (after all, it's just cables to connect!) and the cable lengths seemed appropriate for the surrounds. Speakers did have some weight to them and definitely did not feel real like cheap plastic ones. I personally did not like the silver finish to the speakers and sub. A solid black finish would have made these blend in better with the TV and setup.
For me, this was used in the family room main TV and did not want to use the surrounds as back speakers. I placed them off to the far sides. The surround speakers do fill in the audio ‘width' a bit. Where like most single sound bars you get a very center-focused audio experience, placing surrounds to the sides fills this empty space in some. I am one of those that has a love/hate relationship with the center channel speaker! Simply cannot stand the hyper-focused and sometimes ‘hollow’ sound. While the audio volume can get loud (relatively speaking), if you like to crank up the volume and have a larger room it may be lacking and get into an over-driven sound.
While I can't comment on others who reviewed this as 'perfect' sound or have nine !’s in their review, there are things to consider. First, the remote. While a nice touch, is simply just not thought out well (or done on the cheap by Vizio designers). It has an LED display that is so difficult to read unless in bright light. There is no remote backlight so forget trying to configure the system in anything but a brightly lit room. There are level indicator LED’s stacked vertically in the sound bar (typical for Vizio sound bars) that are, well, odd. In trying to indicate different setting levels, the LEDs light up bottom to top and each LED has two brightness levels. Takes some getting used to.
I returned it as I simply could not (after dozens of tries) get a setting to where the system sounded good to me (and more importantly, my wife!). Had a hard time balancing out the hyper-center sound that is typical in almost all soundbars by using the rears as fronts. It may have been due in part to my TV provider (Dish), but some channels sounded fine but then for others the audio had an annoying “pop” in the bass for vocals. If I lowered the bass then the other channels sounded flat.

I purchased this set with price match when I saw it $40 cheaper at Sam's Club. I needed to pick a set to be installed with a new TV and I'm glad I bought this and not a cheaper product. The sound easily fills a 15x15 open room and the surround is flawless. Sub kicks out deep, accurate bass and it feels like I'm at a theater. Always price match to get the best value!

I’ve only had this unit a couple of days, so I will revisit this review with more thoughts once I’ve had some longevity with it. My initial impressions are very good. The setup was super easy with detailed instructions and every possible cable came with it. I have it hooked up to a samsung 4K display and Magnavox 4K blu Ray player. I have everything running to tv and an hdmi ARC connection back out to soundbar. I don’t use the remote that came with since my Samsung remote controls it automatically.i also downloaded smartcast app which allows more customizability in terms of settings for each speaker channel. After tweaking the speakers. I can say I’m very happy with sound quality. I’ve put everything from action packed avengers movie to the ease of A Few Good Men running through my soundbar and I can clearly hear great separation between speakers and dialogue with ease even through all the explosions , as well as the strong dialogue in a few good men.. I run music via google smartcast and listen to everything from Tupac to Miles Davis and music sounds great. The subwoofer has great punch without distorting unless you crank it up to crazy levels.i can’t speak to longevity just yet, but I love it so far.

Great Sound Bar for the Money !

First the good inputs. The sound of the 5.1 Sound Bar System is pretty good and meets my needs in the small room I'm using it. The Sub-woofer is wireless through Bluetooth connected to the main sound bar. The rear speakers are connected though a provided cable on the Sub Woofer. Speakers are smaller than expected, but put out a nice even sound. My main contention is with the lack of instructions on how to set it up and work it. Took a bit of this and that to get it working the way I wanted. Mainly through self trials and figuring it out. Unfortunately there are no funcitons or messages displayed on the TV. Everythings works from the small very limited remote. First the volume buttons are actually located on the side of the remote vs on the top with other buttons. When you select Menu, it will only offer a small display at the top of the remote only. Again, lack of good instructions make this a task of figuring it out for yourself. If you are familiar with home theater systems, you probably can work though this with little efforts. Those who have no experience may have a problem. For the money, it is a nice little sound system.

Bought this sound bar system to use solely on my race sim rig setup. Here's my notes... wish I had looked closer at all the specs and reviews, didn't realize it didn't do 4k pass through, so I wasn't able to run the xbox into this, then to tv. So.. Ran xbox hdmi to TV, then the digi opti out of tv into the soundbar, which works but now I have audio lagging behind video. I think this is more of an issue with the xbox than the sound bar. Had to settle with hdmi from xbox to tv, and digi opti from xbox to this sound bar, still get a touch of lag this way, but I'll have to live with it. The sound bar sync adjust only goes one direction and just makes the lag worse, so have to keep that on 0. Where this bar looses a star was the initial setup and general use of the mobile app for control. I've never had such a hard time getting a piece of technology to 'sync' up. I think it took 2-3 factory resets of the bar and trying to config it with the app before it finally stuck and worked. And then when it finally was working, half the time you try to change something with the app, I get a some type of error that it's disconnected or not available.
To finish on a positive note, for the sale price this system sounds pretty good, at the regular price, ehhh, I might just keep looking. Sub is pretty decent for only being 5", and the sounds are crisp and clear thru the sat's and bar. It's a good fit for my specialized application in my race sim rig.

Overall a great sound bar for the price. The most important feature for me was wireless rear speakers, which can be accomplished with this package. The sound quality is incredible compared to stock TV speakers, but it's still obviously on the lower end of audio equipment. For my relatively small living room it's the perfect balance of price and sound quality.
It was a little glitchy in the beginning where it would lose signal to the rear subwoofer/speakers and the unit would need to be reset, but that seems to have cleared itself up lately. I don't know what changed, but it definitely does not seem to lose signal anymore.
