Had to use Optical connection due to TV not having an ARC. Surround and subwoofer sound goes away sometimes when returning to program on TV from commercials. Unit did not fully learn programming with cable system remote, only the volume + works. Would not buy again even though demo in Best Buy sounded awesome, I guess demos can be deceiving. I should have gone with the Klipsch.

You should hear the bass rumble during explosions, planes flying, earthquakes, action scenes, and anything that would normally have a deep tone. The satellite speakers will usually only emit audio when watching content with 5.1 audio. You may not get these tones when watching something like a sitcom or the nightly news. There is a setting called Virtual Surround that can be turned on and will have audio come through the satellite speakers on all content. If you have a VIZIO television there is a channel on the ‘Watchfree’ service that plays action movies with no subscription or rental fee, this might be a good place to find some content to test your sound bars limits. He had just purchased a 60” Visio tv and this went perfect with it. It is truly a great setup. I would recommend this to anyone needing a full room surround sound!!

Horrible wouldn’t buy again

Main issue is the blue tooth connecting to the subwoofer, it often doesn’t connect so I have to unplug and reset the entire system to get it to work. The new issue I’m dealing with is I cannot control the volume at all, it either reaches peak volume and cannot control it or it allows me to control but then goes right back full volume. Do not understand it will be buying a different brand, I wish I had returned it sooner. 2/10 only reason I’m giving it a 2 is because when it actually works right it sounds great but operates horrible.

Best bang for your buck...when its working.

The surround sound is amazing and bass is OK. I have the sound bar connected via HDMI ARC, and I have the it mounted to the wall under my TV. The sub and two surround speakers are in the rear of our living room. Just a heads up, the two background speakers requires a wired connection to the sub. For the most part, it comes with really long cords so you'll be able to place them almost anywhere within your living room. My only complaint about this is that from time to time, sometimes more than once a day, the sound bar loses connection with the TV. This is annoying when you are watching a movie and an intense scene comes on, and the sound system starts flickering back and forth to the sound bar then back to the TV speakers. Or when you are singing karaoke and the best part of the song flickers back and forth with the sound system and TV speakers. I have tried switching inputs with the optical cable, HDMI IN, and HDMI ARC and still flickers from time to time. When it is working, it is one of the best sound systems in its price range.
