The store display said it was multi room capable and has a diagram of the inside of a house. We contacted Vizio and they said it does not have ability to transmit audio out to other units. We saw the display again since we bought it and it says it is able to stream “from“ multiple devices. We have a prehistoric Sony sound system that is a fake Bose speaker system that we were trying to replace. The soundbar itself loses time with the tv audio and we will get a delay with people talking, etc to where their mouths don’t match the audio. It seems like it is full on volume or nothing. Not good for medium volume level tv listening. We would not purchase again.

Posted .The Soundbar has Google Chromecast technology built in. That means that you can add the sound bar to a Google Home Group- and play content to multiple speakers at the same time. The sound bar doesn't 'transmit' the audio to other speakers, but it can be grouped with other Chromecast speakers to receive audio. We apologize if this was explained improperly at the store. Great Soundbar I

I have two other model Vizio sound bars that can go much louder without their sub-woofers crackling. I moved this one to a smaller room where the volume doesn't get turned up as loud so it works fine. This was an open box purchase so maybe the unit had been abused in the store?

The soundbar has Center, Left, and Right audio channels. The rear left and rear right are wired to the subwoofer. So The rear audio channels come through the sub wirelessly. The way I set this mine up, I have the soundbar under the UST projector and the subwoofer 15 feet across the room! no wires! and it works flawless. Wireless audio like this from Sonos and Bose will run you 3 times this price, but to be fair your not going to get Bose quality sound out of this set either. Cheers.
