Would have given 5 stars but had issues with set up when using with satellite receiver and xbox. I ended up using the optical link to get sound because I could not get 4k on Xbox with traditional set up. Otherwise, great system.

They are tethered to the subwoofer. Another quirk to the setup is the speakers will randomly turn themselves off.

The first was purchased as refurbished from an online retailer (who offers 2 day shipping, etc). I had issues with that unit about 1 month into ownership where the subwoofer and satellite speakers would make “popping” noises. After tech support could not resolved I returned the unit, chalking it up to manufacturer defect or a problem not resolved during refurbish. Decided to purchase again via Best Buy during Black Friday. As cost was comparable to refurbished price. After again roughly 1 month of ownership. This “new” unit Has begun to develop power issues, which can sometimes be resolved by physically disconnecting/reconnecting power. Other times, power cannot be restored until an undeterminable about of time. For this reason I have decided to return this unit as well and utilize a different brand/home theater solution. My 5 yea old Vizio soundbar died due to power supply issues. And so I now believe this is a manufacturing defect/issue from Vizio. Disappointing as their value proposition remains high, but if they are unreliable they are worthless for me.
