This is a good movie a little different for a super heroes movie. A little macabre a little weird and a lot of detailed characters. Almost 4 hours long but holds your attention well. Sometimes hard to follow because of the depth of the characters and the complex plot. A good movie to enjoy.

albeit engaging feature. I enjoy the stark nature of this comic book movie as opposed to the traditional cookie cutter super hero flicks (which I, too, enjoy). The movie can drag a bit at times but the characters are interesting and cinematography is something to behold on a larger screen

Great adaptation of the dystonian future created by Alan Moore. Character development is so deep you can feel for the characters by the end. Fantastic story, great cinematography, wonderful experience. Incredibly dark, therefore not everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly was my favorite.

Having viewed the theatrical cut of Watchmen, I was wanting more from the director's cut. You cerntainly get it. While the added footage add minor improvements to a good adaption to of Alan Moore's classic. You might have to watch theatrical cut again to spot new footage added to this film.

This is a really really good movie that fallows the comic book really close worth watch multiple times, but is a long movie so have a couple of free hours but so worth it! Definitely worth buying if you have a comic book movie collection and even if not worth to have in your blu ray/dvd collection period.

Amazing film, BUT- this version does NOT come with the digital copy it states as including ON THE COVER, and WB won't answer emails about it.

I was never a fan of WATCHMEN - all style, no substance. The Ultimate Edition with the extended cut hasn't necessarily changed my mind, however I do find that I appreciate the film more now. As it always does, the HDR presentation makes the colors pop. Dr. Manhattan's blue glow is a highlight.

Good film and a must have for blu-ray collectors.

Warner Bros is no longer including digital redemption codes with this title because they’re “expired”, even though the packaging states that a digital copy of the Ultimate Cut is included. There is no mention of expiration on the packaging. Digital is the only way to watch the UC without 4k. Warners “customer service” did not care about this fraudulent claim on the packaging and will not make the title eligible for disc to Digital on VUDU.

If you are a scifi or comic book fan and you haven't seen this movie, this is the version to purchase. If you have seen the movie, liked it, haven't yet picked it up on bluray; this is the disc for you. Finally, if you are looking for a movie to use in demoing your home theater, again, this is the disc for you.

This ultimate version takes what was a pretty darn good film and even makes it better. I can't wait until the HBO series that is in the works hopefully sets the plotline back to the graphic novel version..The film still works though and looks pretty darn great on 4k

Looks great in HD, sounds great as well. And I definitely prefer this "ultimate cut" to all other versions, with deleted scenes and the "Curse of the Black Freighter" animated feature interspersed within the main film.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift but ultimately ended up getting a more recent release. But Watchmen is one of my few favorite Zack Snyder involved films. The visuals are amazing and it's obviously based on a beloved graphic novel, so it's good.

Watchmen simply put is a seminal movie and a must own. Bucking the trends of super heroism that we know in film and near faithfully recreating the magnificence of the graphic novel this is a must own movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. It's one of those where you are either going to like it or your not...there is very few people on the fence because there is a ton of plot set up and dialogue. If you are like me and enjoyed it I recommend finding the Steelbook copy of the directors cut of possible.

Having not seen this movie in theaters I remember various fans raving about this movie before it came out. I was unfamiliar with the franchise/characters before seeing the movie. Nicely presented, I know who the characters are now. This is a different concept of super heroes.

I prefer this to the book. It was dark, violent, but still retained plenty of esoteric meaning, especially considering you can't throw a rock without hitting a pointless meaningless everything and the kitchen sink garbage superhero movie these days.

I would consider Watchmen to be the most beautiful and faithful comic adaptation created thus far. It is easily Zack Snyder's best work, and oozes with life as pages of the comic come to like. This 4K transfer is gorgeous, and the Ultimate Cut is stellar.

You've likely already seen Watchmen or read the comic if you're buying this. The movie is not a master piece but the ultimate cut looks beautiful and has the bonus black freighter footage spliced in. Glad I checked best buy before ordering from Amazon

A decent 4k transfer (upscaled from a 2k master). Most noticeable improvement is in the strong use of HDR to boost the contrast range throughout. Though the included DolbyTrue 5.1 track is excellent, the lack of an upgrade/re-mix to ATMOS seems like a missed opportunity.
