I found the WDMyCloud very easy to set up and use. Once I installed the app on my laptop I had no problem access the MyCloud over the internet. The only problem I had accessing the device over my local network was that our network would not map to the device using the device name. However, using the IP address works fine. I found the MyCloud to be faster than expected. It will serve my family very well.

It is very easy to set up and I was able to back up everything from my desktop, laptop and if I wanted to I could also back up anything from my tablets as well. It was also easyt o acces all the data. My favorite is being able to access the files from anywhere I am at.

The uploading is a bit slow but overall it's good way to have your own personal cloud.

use to save all my movies to external drive and hook up to tvs but this just saves so much time and lets me stream photos, videos to all devices in my house. Also good for storing files I can acess from anywhere. Hook up was easy and their is customization of security and accounts just read the instructions and its no problem.

Western Digital continues to put out quality with innovation. This NAS is simple to install, easy to get to whether on desktop, laptop, or remotely and provides good security. Literally up and copying files less than 10 minutes out of the box.

easy wireless way to store and retrieve files to keep from loading up your laptop, phone ect. and free up your memory on devices.

With all the hacking going on, I like the idea of saving things to my own cloud.

Overall it is just ok. It does go to sleep and causes my router (top of the line dlink AC) to throw IP conflicts. Have not figured out why it is causing this. The processor in the unit you would think would be faster, but it is not. Even when running on a gigabit router this is no where near as fast as it should be.

My cloud is perfect for storing documents, photos, videos for easy access anywhere on the go. I don't like having a ton of videos, and photos on my mobile devices this saves space but gives me access especially with important documents.

Bought one of these drives initially, and set it up in my home. Set up was a breeze. Noticed it supported Time Machine Backups, so my son went back the same day and bought another one for himself. He couldn't be happier, either. Definitely recommended for someone with multiple computers (especially laptops) that need to be backed up!

Great for file retrieval when you are not at your computer. Easy to get files and pictures when on i-phone or android.

I think it might be a great product once I understand how to set it up.
