It works right out of the box with the typical setup pattern. It takes a long long time to load files. The syc programs are NOT easy to deal with I am 50 - 50 on this product

Easy to set up. Meet all my requirements. Compatible with all devices within my Network.

kinda slow but it does the job and if you get it on sale it's perfect

This device is easy to access from any location. I use this to write code for school (I am a teacher) and access that code from my machine at school. Very fast.

Needs a copy of options and how to make folders for pictures, etc.

I had a failing file server and was looking at $1k plus replacement cost. I am a sole proprietor and simply no longer needed the horsepower of a server.

my wife wanted a way to store her pictures in a cloud without taking up space on her phone. we currently use this as a picture hub that we can access from any of our phones or computers. I'm also starting to use it for music and movies. Movies take a while to buffer but it works perfectly. love this product

It was a gift for the wife for Christmas and it works great.

This drive was very easy to setup and runs great with Windows 8.1. I am now backing up everything with this device. I can access all my files from my iPhone or iPad very easily. The only issue is that you can't view password protected Microsoft Office Documents. Hopefully that will be fixed in a future release.

First I'd like to say that I'm happy with my purchase and I've got it working good. The only complaints were having to figure out some stuff by trial and error with the software needed to run it effectively from three different computers. I would have preferred a better user manual that explains everything you'll need to run it. I found out that I had to download extra software from the WD site. I've also had problems with it not taking my password the first few times while trying to log into my profile which is annoying. All that being said I'm happy to have something that is fast and accessible wherever I go via computer or mobile app.

Geek squad recommended. Best buy for your money no need to get the fanciest when less expensive gets you what you need and more. This product went to the Bahamas. No Best Buy out there. Cheers. Happy Shopping.

It was a breeze to install and has allowed me to better network the systems in my office to each other. I'm FAR from being a tech pro and I was able to get this up and running in no time and I haven't experienced any issues in keeping my systems connected to it. Data transfer times are very fast as well.

Excellent network drive, used a cat 5 cable to connect to my wireless router/modem and was also able to piggyback a USB drive to it for extra storage.

Instructions are not very good...difficulty with hooking up to other hardware...unable to automatically backup from main PC...showing no link

After some back and forth getting it set up I had peace of mind from this and the cloud storage. Vital for securing all my business needed storage
