I wanted something to consolidate all my pictures / videos / files. I don't have a ton, but just enough where it was hogging my PC and iPhone. I like the fact that you can map to it like any drive. I like that you can access it via the internet. Very cool when you aren't at home or at someone else's computer. I currently use Carbonite to back my stuff up. I got this as a potential replacement but there is something comforting about the cloud. (I know I can pay extra to have Carbonite do this). Not that I use it a lot, but I like that it is a DLNA Media Server. As a negative, I think they tried to hard to create their own User Interface. They could have just stuck with HTML pages.

Good product at a good price. I like having cloud storage in house rather in the ether. A little challenging to get set up at first. Have to research the instructions.

We use it in our home for multiple computer's to save on a cloud to backup multiple devices. Works great so far.

I found it hard to follow the instructions but the customer service is really great. Once I couldn't figure out what went wrong in the set-up process, called the support service. They were very helpful to set it up. The product is great once up and running. Can access from anywhere using multiple devices.

I got this little hunny on a while due to needing more space and also noticed that it had the option of being a standalone FTP. I used a public IP Address to connect it to the internet and now use my DSLR and cellphone to send my pictures directly from my camera to my hard drive for backup!

I had to call for help. It does not automatically access all its memory. I felt shoul not need to change settings increase memory availability. I am still not sure I will able to access entire memory without calling for help again.

The amount of storage for the price is great, plus you can add multiple devices to this. Pay a great one time price vs monthly/yearly fees.

I like this cloud storage easy to you and set up. I wish it would load faster when trying to open a folder, other that I love the device hopefully on the next update that gets resolved

Purchased a new 2TB computer. Needed to backup my old one to transfer to new. The Cloud is easy to use and I have peace of mind as I am using it to backup regularly.

This drive has the capability to store data frpm multiple pc and IOS and Android Devices. The built in backup capabilities provide data backup capabilities for data stored on the drive.

Totally worth the investment if you have multiple gadgets at home and want to save files in one place without plugging and unplugging. Your own icloud without monthly payments and everything is available wherever you are as long as you're connected to the internet. No need to bring that external drive with you.

Since I purchased this device, it's been nothing but a major help to me! I've stored things on my cloud from 3 laptops, 4 cell phones, & 2 cameras, & still haven't put a dent in my cloud. I wish I had this year's ago. The best feature I love about this is the fact that I have access to it no matter where I am.

It was a little confusing at first, but after a few trouble shooting sessions everything is working great.

My cloud works awesome. Have since bought both my brother and sister-in-law one. This is a awesome product.

Basic setup is easy but a little confusing to know exactly how backup is working as well as share directories. Learning each day.

I bought this drive to automatically back up my business files in case my computer crashed it's working great

Love the wireless capabilities. Makes everything so much easier. And 3 tb is plenty for almost anyone

Much better to have a mapped drive from all my computers than having a Usb drive hanging off a laptop.

honestly its so great at backing up you forget you have it until you accidentally delete something and fail to retrieve it on your device and its still here. WD did an outstanding job with the software, works seemlessly on android, IOS, windows and Mac OS. seriously great job.

It was an easy set up right out of the box even for someone who is technically challenged. You essentially create your own cloud which can be accessed through the provided app.
