Great, easy, store in my basement, out of the way, clutter free, great backup for the basics.

The initial set up was a hassle, but I'm no techie, so perhaps I struggled more than most would. Once everything was connected though, it was a dream to use, and still is.

I use to store all pictures and videos for all my devices.

A bit complicated. Should be a lot simpler to set up. The hard drive itself kept disconnecting. I rather stick to Google drive and external passports instead.

This drive was difficult to set up (poor directions, though support was good). Once fully in place it works very well, accessible from Mac and Windows.

This is awesome! You can upload/download right from your iPhone anywhere! Awesome backup solution!

I have several of these on client sitezandthr two th models are reliable I have found the 3tb drives fail easily under moderate use. No so with the 2tb

It is nice to have something that can be accessed from outside or play media files without wires.

This is a great product that is easy to setup and us as windows 7 backup and storage. It is very easy to access remotely with any device connected to the internet.

Great product so far. I was able to move my files over to the My Cloud with ease. I also found the My Cloud app that I can use to listen to my music files at home.

Hasn’t failed after about one year. There were some bugs with FTP and the backup features could be better but it is a reliable drive.

I have a 4TB and by far this is a better product! Always on, using as a secondary HD for a NVR.

We ran into a few set-up issues and the instructions provided are ridiculously minimal. But once we got it up and running, it seems to be fine.

Really easy to install, various app solutions to manage. Not as easily compatible with mobile devices but works great as a media server for smart TVs and PS3.

I have used other external this drive but the Western Digital is the best cloud solution ever.

I purchased this device to store my Music Library on so that I can use it wherever I go. It is perfect. It was easy to set up and does exactly what I want. Now I can listen to the Music I want to hear no matter where I go as long as I have internet access.

I am medium techno and had no problem setting up for backup and storage. Have not yet used for ITunes or used to access outside own network as a true cloud unit.

I love the idea of being able to access my photos, other files anytime, anywhere. So far so good. I am hoping its not too difficult to link my other devices

Purchased this Western Digital Personal Cloud Device to experiment before our "free" time expires at Dropbox. I will admit Dropbox does cellphone photos very well and very fast across a large platform of devices and OS. But I do not like to give up on keeping my data - My Data! This WD Personal Cloud does the trick for me. Performance is a little slower than Dropbox for pulling up uploaded photos - I'd say about twice as long as Dropbox. But once they are uploaded they reside on My device and there will be no monthly fee at this time to accomplish that. Setting up PC and Mac backups to the WD Cloud was a bit more tricky but WD offers free 30 day tech support in helping you use all that you paid for. I called once and my issue was resolved in one call with a duration of about 20-25 minutes. If you are looking for a reliable - low cost - simple setup - No Monthly Fees solution and have some patience with slower download times, then this is your solution.
