The ease of setup along with the ability to easily and securely access files while at home or from a web portal while remote is exactly what I was looking for.

We purchased two of these external drives to facilitate the transfer of files between business units. They were very easy to setup and bring to full operational use.

Love the fact that you can travel any where in the world and as long as you have wifi you can use it!!!!

Great product ease of use. Had a Seagate before and it was junk hard drive crashed and lost all my pics. Seagate's tech support very rude. WD My Cloud is the way to go.

The product is good but have had a few issues where it doesn't allow me to put files in it. I tried transferring a folder and now it's just sitting there kind of greyed out, I can't open it or delete it. One day I opened all my folders and one of the folders that I use for my business was completely gone, it came back later.

This works great as a LAN drive. It is easily set up and password accessible

This a good value compared to other public cloud services, but it's a pain to install and set share files with other users, it would be so much better if it had an interface of dropbox where you install the app and can see your files remotely on windows explorer.

When I first plugged in the drive and started to go through the install wizard it couldn't find my drive on my network. Having read previous reviews and knowing installation was a big problem for others I called Customer Service right away. They led me through the install process and found the issue. I haven't had any issues since. I use it primarily as a backup for family photos and videos. All my cell phone pictures/videos get uploaded immediately upon coming into wifi and long distant relatives can view them with ease.

Im a photographer that wanted this mostly for a back up for photos. It's worth the extra few bucks to get this one compared to the other without wifi already in it.

I was told by salesperson it was drag and drop and easy to set up, however there were no instructions in or on the box so it was trial and error to get it going. It would be nice to have actual instructions clearly available by the manufacturer instead of having to do a Google search to find them. Aside from the initial set up hiccups and learning curve, we love this product.

This hard drive is awesome! It is super easy to use, and I can use it from anywhere!

Has a lot of storage. Bought as a gift. Arrived quickly.

I use it as a cloud solution for my data. It is very secure and one time setup the UI and firmware is very solid and stable compare to previous versions of the Mycloud series.

Doesn't have all of the features and abilities I thought it would out of the box like being able to connect it to a system to upload the files quickly. Everything must be done over the cloud, and it sure seems to get a lot of updates. If purchasing such device I'd recommend going with the mirrored version.

This item took more effort to understand how to use than I expected.

Because of its price & spec, I decided to purchase this NAS hard drive for my home. Installation took about 20 minutes and was pretty straight forward. One of the best features is the ability to sync Time Machine / Backup automatically to the NAS. You never have to worry about forgetting to backup your data.

Very easy to use and setup. I was using time machine to backup my Mac within minutes. Simple and affordable backup solution.

WD #1 What can I say, took it out of the box and plugged it in, followed instructions, and its been working great ever since. I've always had great luck with WD hardware.
