great back-up drive

Can be a bit slow at times though! GREAT BUY OVERALL THOUGH!

Not so great for Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my MyBook Live because transferring a 1 GB file from my Mac to the hard drive would take me about 30 minutes. When I had a PC it transferred in seconds. It works great for PC, I wish there was a way to make it entirely compatible for Mac exclusively. There is no way to re format this hard drive since its a server based storage system.

Great Storage Solution!!

My WD network drive is providing good peace of mind while I am looking for a new backup system. I want to have both since I have way too much music and way, way too many photos to keep secure.

Good Backup HDD for the money

Great personal cloud storage

A great Personal Cloud

Once installed, I have enjoyed being able to access almost everything that I used to store on my computer on this device. Combine it with SyncToy and a scheduler to have a basic mirror from computer to cloud then access from smart phone or tablet over the internet.
