Instruction were easy to follow for set up and use.

I have been using this for a little over a month now and have to say it is pretty great. I have had some days where I cannot access to the cloud, but for the most part it is a great external hard drive.

Overall its a decent product so far. However, you cannot use this drive as a remote backup destination for other MyCloud drives. I had intended to get two of these drives, and keep one offsite so that my main MyCloud could remotely backup to this drive. This base model does not allow that, as it does not have backup server capabilities. The other models (MyCloud Mirror, EX2, etc) can do this though, but they are far more costly.

This is setup to hold all my movies and music. It streams flawlessly to all my computers and to all my (3) Roku boxes... Only downside is the inability to use it as a plex server.

Works great. Can access your files from anywhere in seconds. Keeps all the devices in sync. Great solution.

I bought it because my hard drive was full. When I hooked it up, it didn't work. I called the customer service number and after three or four calls, I got it going. Apparently, my computer was pretty full and it took several techs to figure out how to fix the problem. Eventually, we got it done.

WD has a history of incredibly complicated set-up / use-of their external & Cloud products. I *knew* this but bought it anyways because the sales guy mentioned the 'simplicity' of it all (implying that WD had changed to much more user-friendly formats, etc). It ISN'T! This product may indeed to a great job ~ but I won't be able to know that b/c it's too darn hard to understand it all! This is NOT a plug & play device. You have to download a ton of different softwares (whose names rarely depict WHAT it is they DO); create accounts for separate parts of these things, etc. the instructions that came with the item do not clearly spell this out. Nor did the sales guy - or the box - tell you that yes; personal MyCloud storage ~ where you can retrieve anything on your cloud from anywhere with an internet connection - is NOT included with this item. In fact, it's a separate purchase. And it's not cheap. Very disappointed & do not recommend this product to others unless you're a technical guru & love the challenge! P.S. I *think* my first backup is going now - but it's been 18 hrs so far and only 1/4 done! Ridiculously SLOWWW.

I am very pleased about the installation, and initial use. Still trying to understand the details though. Have not run a backup of the data yet (although I have a copy of it elsewhere).

The My cloud works well and makes accessing files easy, but I had issues getting it to work well with both PC and Mac. Some of the files prove difficult to transfer from my old external hard drive. I'm sure when I have more time to work with the issue I will be able to resolve it. Good product!

I bought MyCloud to use it as a home backup device for I end up using it for much more. I you need just backup there are cheaper options out there. This device will enable to set up your own cloud storage, being able to upload your iOS photos, stream content from the HD to any device with the WD app, etc...

I bought the WDMyCloud to back-up all my devices (iMac, Mac Book, iPad & iPhone). Had a few issues setting it up perhaps because I was running the brand new OS. Works well now.

This is an amazing product. It feels like you have control on all your personal documents. Backing up photos and videos from all mobile devices is very easy.

The WD NAS is perfect for both home and office in MHO as an IT Manager it was simple to add quick network storage for a user specific project without a large investment in storage and was able to keep the data project specific off my domain.

This is great if you want to back up you phone's photos on your own personal "cloud". The only downside is that you can't plug it into a computer with USB.

This is a great hard drive. You can access it any where you have a data connection. The 2 Tb is tons of space and its a bout the size of a thick book.
