Backs up my local HD fine but the mobil devices, not so much. Wants the cloud program open and then sometimes have to coax it along

It's a nice device. Does what it promises. I had to reboot it a few times already. Not sure if that is due to my router or due to the mycloud.

Purchased for a client needing a Cloud solution for sharing data over different types of devices that they could manage on there own.

After a defective unit, i haven't had an issue with it. The apps on android could have more functionality but otherwise I can't find fault with it.

We bought this because the sales person was telling us how easy it is to connect to your computer and it is suppose to be wireless and everything. We can't get it to connect to my computer. I don't know if it does not work with Windows 10 or what the problem is. We have researched on line and have contacted the support people - still can't get it to recognize my computer. Latest and greatest technology isn't always the best.

We purchased this when our other external crashed. We have enjoyed this so much. The cloud streaming feature has helped us enjoy all our movies, music and photos anywhere! Definitely worth the purchase

I tried to set up the cloud drive for my Macbook air and it would not work. I tried to back up to the cloud and it said it would take 14hours . I let it try to finish the back up for 14 hours and it faild sonewhere in the middle of the night.

When I read "External Hard Drive", I am thinking, "Great, a way to extend my current hard drive, off loading some lesser-used files". But what this device appears to me is an all-or-nothing approach to back up my entire hard drive. I'm not comfortable taking all my files off the drive and hoping I can get them back. Still trying to figure out how to use this device to get the desired results.

Seems to lose connection a lot when connected to my router. Also a very slow access to read/write

It works fine when stand alone, it won't work with my book!!!!. Also kind of slow. Use something else if I could redo it again!

I really haven't had to put it in good use yet. Since I haven't I am going to have to give a full rating yet.

I have a Mac, a PC, two iPhone's and two iPad's accessing My Cloud. All data is a available to all devices from any location. Great product.

I get about 100Mbytes/Sec when I connect directly to My Cloud through Ethernet. With WIFI, I get only about 6Megabits. Still OK. Very easy to use software interface. Added plus, easy network access to USB 3.0 port

We are a new start up company. very small, and although we have networking/file sharing needs, we currently have no budget or room to put up a rack server. This product seems to be the perfect transitional device as we begin to grow.

This device is difficult to navigate. WD is lacking I customer support. I am finding it very difficult to sync everything together. I bought it to store photos of my two young children so I could erase the off my phone. However, I am hesitant to erase them because I am afraid of whether or not there are stored in they cloud. I guess this is a good device for a more advanced user.

Purchased this NAS to replace the previous buffalo NAS that had began to die. Easy to set up, no problems yet.

Works for network storage but I haven't tried remote access from internet. Use to store photos and other files

I originally bought a different product that was useless. This was exact ally what I was looking for and worth every cent.

I really wanted this to be the answer to all my photos and videos. From my Samsung phone- awesome. No issues. But from my iPad it would rename my files with WD_XXX. No date incorporated into the file name.Not really WDs fault, just another example of Apple not wanting to be compatible with anything other than Apple.

The documentation is meager and the drive was difficult to set up. Regardless, it seems to be a good product.
