I needed a way to access my files when away from my office and this did the trick. It also works as a back up device so it combines the best of both worlds for my business needs.

Ended up changing device to a Static IP now works great. remote access of files a little slow but ok.

Getting the device up & running wasn't too difficult but doing detail setup is not user friendly. Difficult to follow instructions because there is more than one sign on screen. I have had the mycloud for over a month & still do not have it set up correctly. I wouldn't recommend unless you have more advanced skills in programming.

Good overall network drive to backup different devices - windows, mac and mobile

This is just a basic network hard drive that works. No issues While I was not looking for any personal cloud features, I have used this quite a bit with no issues except when home internet went out.

I wish I would I have held out and and purchased the WD EX2 instead due to having two drive bays. But I have this on our Gigabit network and it has been a very solid workhorse!

This hard drive is awesome! I was able to upload my full media library and now I can access all of my movies, tv shows and music anywhere with wifi! Fantastic product! One of my better purchases!

To have the storage on a network is working out very well. All my computers can use it at the same time. The app for my smartphone works well. So you can access the drive from your phone is nice.

I don't use the sync options. Iwanted a networked manual backup. It does the job.

It works like a charm as a cloud and you could also access this like a regular server drive.

The salesmen told me this was real easy to use. I didn't find that to be true. I had to call the Geek Squad and they ended up remotely accessing my computer and setting it up. Then I spent many hours trying to figure out how to get it to back up my computer. Still haven't figured out how to restore the information to another computer.

Have not used it a whole lot yet. Looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Connected to my network easily, and has held up fine. Multiple Apple products connected to it that using it for Time Machine backups.

Takes awhile to set up and understand how it works. Product is pricey.

for the price, it was better to opt up to the 4TB.

The user manual is a PDF that you have to down load. It is not the easiest to follow.

Not exactly thrilled that it is automated, not just drag and drop.

Thing is amazing , forget paying apple 100s a year for there cloud storage. Plus I can view everything or send to the cloud via my phone. Don't even need the big iPhone anymore lol

Limited things to use it for. But good for backing up ally devices .
