When the unit works it is a really good product at an excellent price! However, the unit doesn't work 75% of the time. One other huge flaw is that there is no search tool. I have over a gig of files on the My Cloud hard drive and to find a particular file can take a long time. Over all, do not buy until WD fixes its many flaws.

Confusing

One thing I have learned is you need to download your pictures from your smartphone to MY CLOUD before you download to your computer and then delete them from your phone. I haven't figured out how to get the pictures from my computer to download to MY Cloud

failed back-ups all the time

Every time my mac attempts a backup it fails and I've tried all the tips and tricks to resolve it but to no avail. You would've thought that once it has been set up it would continue to work. Ended up buying another hard drive just to use for backing up my mac.
