I think this radar detector is extremely useful for beginners to learn how to watch for speed traps....

worked good no problems had no false alarms and arravied undamaged

I have had a radar detector for years and someone stole it when I had the car serviced. I purchased the Whistler and have been very happy with it. I do have a tendency to be a lead foot-so I try and watch my speed limits. This unit does help to keep me out of trouble!!

This item has paid for itself and had kept me from tickets.

This is a nice little radar detector for the price. I always remove it when getting out of the vehicle as it is not worth getting your car broken into for a radar detector. You will like the ease of operating this Whistler detector.

i only used this a couple of times ,, and with my old $100 whistler at the same time ,,, and this one keep beeping like the energizing bunny all the time ,, i not played with other settings to make it less annoying ,, but i got it so i don't have to move my old one from car to car .. just like other reviewers have stated it is just a noise maker and for a price $35 ,, it sure is not worth it ... but i also read some reviews that say it better than nothing ,,, but if you doing some serious moving in your car ,,,definitely get a better unit and don't waste your $$$$ on this one .. so i would just use this with my economy car, only to keep track of where there could be speed trap .. .

Good detector for the price. Does what is expected but leaves a little wanting with options like false alert screening, volume control, and the ability to silence from the plug in. Overall good buy

Used this on a recent road trip and worked well. Only used on highway mode and gave me plenty of notice on alerts except for when I was pinged with a laser.
