As a long-time Yu-Gi-Oh fan, I was thrilled to dive into The Early Collection on Switch. The game nails the nostalgia factor with classic cards and artwork, and it’s easy to pick up if you’re revisiting the series or introducing it to new players. That said, the gameplay can feel a bit shallow for veteran duelists, and some card interactions from later series aren’t included. It’s a solid pick for collectors and casual players, but don’t expect the depth of modern Yu-Gi-Oh titles. The collection includes several of the very first Yu-Gi-Oh games, featuring both single-player campaigns and duel challenges against classic characters from the anime. You’ll find early fan-favorite cards, iconic monsters, and simple dueling mechanics that reflect the original gameplay style. It’s a great way to experience the origins of the card game, relive memorable duels, and even test your strategies with the foundational rules of Yu-Gi-Oh. These games were originally released on systems like the Game Boy, Game Boy Advanced, and this Switch collection brings them all together in one package. While the graphics and interface are updated for modern hardware, the core gameplay remains true to the original titles. This makes it a nostalgic treat for longtime fans while also being approachable for newcomers who may never have played the older handheld versions.

I liked the game. It was a good way to play all of the classic Yu-Gi-Oh games from the Gameboy and Gameboy Advance Era. But the bad thing was they didn't include Yu-Gi-Oh GX Duel Academy or Yu-Gi-Oh Ultimate Masters with the Japanese update that fixes the glitch that remains in the US release of the game and I really hope that this game was a success because then Konami would release a mid-day or night evening night and midnight collection of Yu-Gi-Oh games and at least the Best Buy pre-order Switch copy I got didn't had any issues with my promo Harper's Feather's duster card.

Amazing game! Has all the GB/GBC/GBA yugioh games in one collection. Runs very well and comes with a cool harpies feather duster card! The rewind feature is great too! You don’t know how useful it is until you need it. They also have online for some of the games.

I haven't played all the games yet, but it is an awesome nostalgia that Konami did. It has 16 games in 1! Sure it's retro games, but who doesn't want the games in their collection? Especially those who haven't played it yet? If you like playing old style games, this is a must have! It will give you hours of playing the games. I've been playing DDM and WorldWide Edition so far. The price isn't bad for 16 games.

This collection is a straight-up love letter to the classic era of Yu-Gi-Oh games, packed with nostalgia and solid gameplay. Having spent countless hours on Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel as a kid, seeing it preserved and playable again is pure nostalgia. I still have my original copies of Worldwide Edition and Sacred Cards, so being able to revisit them on modern hardware is surreal. This collection brings back the exact feeling of building decks and grinding for cards, just like the GBA days. Now with some quality of life features such as unlocking all cards (to reduce grinding) on several games and my favorite new feature of being able to rewind!!! It's an absolute must-have for longtime fans and game collectors who want to experience a real piece of Yu-Gi-Oh history.

This is a great Yu-Gi-Oh collection of games, and even comes with a limited edition card like the old games that contained a set of 3 cards in them. There are 16 different games to play, and you can play some of the Japanese or European versions of them as well. The only bad thing about this is only one game has online play, and it's a version before the main staple of the Yu-Gi-Oh series for the GBA and future versions of the handheld games. I hope they have updates to have more of the Yu-Gi-Oh games with online play, but I highly doubt it. The only reason to play these games is to experience the early card game rules and cards before they went crazy with Synchros and Link Evolution and Pendulums. The older versions were the best version for Yu-Gi-Oh. It's great to relive these games, and you will be battling for hours in each game just to collect cards or advance the story. Some games have a story mode and you can experience some parts of the Yu-Gi-Oh story from the tv show. Other than that, this is a good set of games to play if you've never had a chance to play them, or if you are watching tv shows and movies and sports and you wanted to play something to pass the time.

It has a lot of games to choose from. It becomes addictive.

Overall, Yugioh Early Days Collection is an amazing collection of games of Konami’s Yugioh games from the Gameboy Color to the Gameboy Advance, all together in one game, you can play through these 14 games and use cheats as they’ve been inputted to each game if you’re not able to grind on the game which is helpful because all the games do require a certain amount of time each and with work can be heretic. Lastly in a later time, as promised, you’ll be able to play online against your friends with your customized decks or dice when each game have online play so collect your favorite cards or dice from all 14 games to make your winning deck or dice pool and have fun! Also comes with one of two collectible harpies feather duster!

I'm very excited to try these games out. I only played Dark Duel Stories out of this collection so I have plenty of games to try out. If I don't like one of them I can just skip it or come back to it later. The game was sealed and contained the promo card inside. Shipping an price matching from Amazon was excellent.

Got the game a couple months ago. The game is good has classic gameplay mechanics of old yugioh games from gba games so it takes time to get used to but over good game. Also condition was great service was great

my review is that THIS GAME is incredible brings back my youth days when I started collecting and first playing and then make games about especially for the GB and GBA series more fun but on the switch but make more better you can duel with your friends online instead connecting cables and plus still have the games in storage case .... If there's OG yugioh fans and regulars OUT THERE COME IN DUEL

It's a compilation game full of iconic Yu-Gi-Oh games that I grew up on from the game's earliest days, back in 2002; but it's nice to revisit most of these as they helped shape my childhood.

Awesome memories of playing these games and it’s awesome to have them all in one!

It's Yu-Gi-Oh classics tied into one! Was able to price match Target for $20. Definitely worth it! Now if only they remade Forbidden Memories lol.

Very fun game super fun to play and a lot of storyline

The game is good, a collection of old Yu-Gi-Oh games on Nintendo handhelds. Although it might look older than modern games, the game is simple enough to make up for it.

I’m enjoying the game and the nostalgia the game provides. Classic vibes!
