Works, but not for bigger phones or note pads.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas and it works but my Samsung Galaxy 8 Active doesn't really fit without modification. I can not use the phone tray and must jockey it into place. Tried an older active and had the same issue. It is still usable but as phones grow in size it may not have a long life .... other than that, it works fine

A Much Better Alternative To A Disposable Headset

Bought this on sale as an entry level introduction to virtual reality. Some people complained about it being too pricey but I appreciated the use of Zeiss lenses because I wanted the best lenses available in a smartphone headset application. That being said I would suggest that being aware of your phone resolution will greatly impact your viewing experience. I have an iPhone 6+ and still deal with the screen door effect when using the headset. It helps to reduce the brightness on the phone to minimize seeing the pixels. There are phones on the market with higher resolution and when I'm ready for an upgrade I will go for the higher resolution. All in all, if you find this during a sale and use promo discounts it's a good solid alternative to the disposable options.

This VR headset looked cool when I opened it but when I put it on there wasn't any focusing. No eye adjustment. I couldn’t focus on the image on the phone. Plus the my iPhone wouldn’t play right. This headset was a disaster. Terrible

Quality made item with comfortability. Easy to set up and perform. Exceptional quality imagery and large quantity of videos and games to download. Slide out phone holder saves wear and tear on headset frame and prevents damage to lenses. Lightweight and durable. Great for almost any age group. Headband adjustments are quite adequate for all age groups.

First let me address price. It's currently listed at 60 bucks, but on sale for just 10 dollars. That got me to buy it, because I was fooled into thinking this was actually a 60 dollar headset... It's not worth more than 10-15. And even then, probably not even worth buying. Build quality... feels pretty cheap, but the phone slides in and stays secured. Great. Design/ Fit... I mean, I have a larger than average nose, but it's not giant. The part that sits on your nose is very uncomfortable. I think if my nose were small it wouldn't be as big of an issue. I just wish they had padding around that area so the sharp edge doesn't rest on my nose. Use... There's no buttons or controller, so often need to take the phone out to just move from one thing to the next. The optics are actually not very good either. I feel fooled that this was put out by Zeiss- a company with a long history of making good optics. Crappy plastic lenses with lots of distortion if not in the exact right position. Now after saying all the bad stuff, I watched a few videos and was thoroughly entertained. The IT promo in VR on Youtube was awesome, despite it being uncomfortable and not the best visual quality. There were also some cool effects in some other apps that just really take you out of reality and make you feel somewhat connected to this virtual world. All in all. This got me interested in spending real money on a VR headset. For 10 bucks, it's worth to fiddle around with it. I'm not sure it's worth any more than that.

Hard to find apps that are compatible. Best Buy rep told us that this model allowed for the phone and case to fit in, which is why we chose it over another brand. Turned out when we got home, we still had to remove the phone from its protective case to put into the device. Graphics are clear and it was a fun activity, but the appeal wore off quickly.

It works as expected. This is my first foray into VR on mobile. Tried it with my Nexus 5x and wife's iPhone 6s. It works fine. I have used it for 15 minutes at a time.without the strap. It is fun, but based on available apps on both systems it seems more like a novelty and fun to show people who have not seen it before.

If you're familiar with things that are really good gifts because you wouldn't necessarily buy them for yourself - than this is it. Pretty fun to play with on Christmas Day but hasn't been touched since. Does not work with older phones or at least it did not work with my Iphone8 but does with Iphone10.

I loved the VR headset but my eyes were not use to it so it kind of hurt my eyes. My kids loved it and it kept them busy but I did end up returning it because without my phone the kids couldn't use it. I would definitely recommend this product!

Very easy to use, our kids love it. Fits my Mi9 phone in its case perfectly. I ordered a separate Bluetooth hand controller to go with it but found that I rarely need it. Very clear optics.

These reviews that criticize the lack of available content are useless and the ones criticizing the lack of buttons miss the point. I have a common 5.5" smartphone and it fits in the tray nice and snugly, alignment is simple and easy. The tray loads into the headset and feels very solid. There are countless VR movies on YouTube and they all work well on this device. It doesn't need any buttons as most videos contain a focus target that allows you to pause, exit etc. I bought this because I am familiar with Zeiss and their high-quality lenses. The lenses are big, fat, made of glass and yes, the optics are superior. That's why I bought it.
