The gimbal works as is and for the price it is great, but there are better options that are more versatile. If you’re looking for a gimbal that works for heavier camera like Canon EOS SL2 it’ll have some trouble. The motor can barely tilt the camera up or down, especially with the lens. There also a weight minimum due to the way it’s built. Some handhelds won’t work on the gimbal unless extra weight is added. The battery dies pretty quickly like 1-1.5 hours of continuous use.
There was also a card that came with it that says it’s compatible with an app but it doesn’t actually work. That’s doesn’t really have an affect on my review but it kinda was like a sad surprise.
Save your money for something better, honestly. I’m not necessarily happy with the purchase. I don’t want you to feel the same.

With Very stable, very quick servos this gimbal makes your camera seem like it’s floating in the air. It can handle my canon T6i with a rode mic. Even does nicely while zoomed in. The bottom plate is a little large so it can’t rotate fully around, but you still have plenty of room for normal movement.

While looking for a stabilizer this by far had the best ratings, but I wasn't sure I was ready to spend the money on it... bought it anyways, and I'm glad I did! A little hard and confusing to use at first but once you figure it out it's awesome! If you're looking to do any filming that requires any movement with the camera this is by far the best.

Excellent stabilizer.A bit difficult to balance it first. Thank God for YouTube, I had to watch the YouTube video several times. A little bit heavy after I attach my Sony a6500 with lens. One disappointment, The battery Is depleted pretty quickly.

I waited until the crane v2 was on sale before I could justify it. It was worth it. I use a Sony a6400 and this works very well with the Sony 10-18mm lens for recording myself. The motors are super quiet and easily handle my camera, any of my sony apsc lenses, as well as my rode wireless go and filter as needed. You get a nice hard pelican style carry case. Balance seems very forgiving yet not terribly difficult after the first one or two times. The gimbal has a 1/4 hold in the bottom of the handle that you can quickly attach a table top tripod to so you can easily set it all down as needed. My only issue is the difficulty in finding zhiyun branded replacement batteries. Otherwise it's an excellent gimbal and fairly lightweight.

I purchased this piece of equipment due to it being on sale and within my price range. It's a decent crane but jerks and becomes shaky at points but does what it says it will do. I'm satisfied with my purchase but will most likely invest in a ronin in the nearer future.

This is a backup to the one I have owned for 3 years. It is a great Gimbal with a good payload capability. I did go in and increase the motor strength since I was using this one primarily on a Nikon D500. It works wonders with an A7III as well. Great no nonsense stabilization!

I really love the technology, however this piece is not quite what you need if you have dslr.
Changing lenses, results in changing the balance. This takes quite a bit of time to get familiar with, so it can be annoying.
Would be great for point and shoot cameras!

Perfect for cell phones, small point and shoots, go pros and even my Canon m50. Once you get the hang of balancing it switching cameras is a breeze and the batteries last several hours. Big drawback though is the app, dont plan on using it it seems to be riddled with spyware. Alarms went off in all my protection services the moment i loaded it onto my iphone. If you read the small print, using the app allows them to access your entire photo library and your location. I deleted the app obviously, but i wish they had a safe one. the functionality without the app causes me to give a good mechanical design only a three. Alas
