We purchased a trailer that was from the 70's, the refrigerator that was in it must of been the original one. So we began searching for a new one. With the small door spaces and kitchen space our choices were very limited. I came across this one by Insignia. The fact that the freezer is on the bottom and fridge part on the top is unique. It actually is quite spacious, which works for our family of three. Absolutely love this fridge. It is perfect. Will definitely be taking this one with us when we sell this place.

We were looking for a smaller refrigerator for our laundry room, and this was the perfect fit. Aesthetically pleasing and very quiet. Perfect size for our bottled water and overflow from kitchen fridge. Wanted it in stainless, but the white looked better than we thought. No complaints at all.

I own a small office with 5 occupied offices and thought this would be the perfect size refrigerator, not too big and not too small. I did not take into account that one of my employees has a really bad back and another is starting to have back problems and therefore cannot bend down to access the freezer at the bottom. It is perfect for me since I am only 5'0" and I can reach everything. I should have considered the other members of my office and how they use this refrigerator. Otherwise, it works great!

I was looking for a second fridge/freezer for my garage. This one looked like the right size and the reviews looked positive. It was on sale so I purchased online and picked it up at the store a week later. I got it home and unboxed it and found a small dent on the upper left side. The outside of the box gave no indication of damage. I could see it was strictly cosmetic and it wouldn't affect the operation of the unit. The thought of hauling it back to the store didn't appeal to me, besides, i was going to have it in the garage so my thinking was, I could live with it. On the off chance I could get some kind of monetary credit if I was willing to just keep the unit rather than return it and create a hassle for not only me but Best Buy also, I called customer service. I offered to e-mail them a pic of the damage but they said not to bother. They credited my credit card in the amount of 10% of the purchase price so I was very happy about that. Now as far as the operation of the fridge, I was aware that freezer temp should be 0 degrees and fridge temp should be below 40. I have a small electronic outdoor temp sending unit that tells me outside temperature by sending it to another unit inside so I placed the sending unit inside the fridge and then the freezer. I want my milk and drinks a couple of degrees above freezing and achieved that by setting the fridge electronic temp control to the lowest setting. The medium setting on the freezer will give you 0 degrees or below. I'm going to try and post a pic of the dent. I've had this product for about 2 weeks and I'm very satisfied with it.

I needed something for my small business that wasn't too small and would not break the bank. This was perfect, the price, the set up, the size was just what I needed. I am able to store plenty of drinks for my customers (water, soda, sports drinks) and still have plenty of room for my lunch and snacks. Very quite, everything works perfectly, the freezer does a great job and the drinks are COLD. I have only had this unit for about a week and so far it works like a champ. No issues like some of the other reviews.

This refrigerator is perfect for our needs as a second fridge in our basement. We have a lot of get together's in the summer and it holds a good amount of beverages and food. It is small, like what you may find in an apartment but it serves it purpose, cools very well and is not overbearing in size.Good price for the good quality and I am very happy with it. Make sure you follow the manufactures recommendations, Let it sit before you plug it in. You won't be sorry, my neighbor plugged his in too soon and it wouldn't work! The refrigerant needs to settle.

After searching and researching for a good while, I decided on this 10.2 cu.ft., bottom freezer refrigerator by Insignia. I had read reviews on different sites about all the bottom freezer brands. Had gone to many stores and outlets, including online. Went to Best Buy personally, and I'm really glad I did. From start to finish, everything and everyone, was professional! The sales associates very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Delivery on time, as promised. Delivery geek squad was the best!! Hauled away old fridge. The Insignia 10.2 bottom is sweet! Extremely quiet!! Beautiful to look at. Temps even all around 35 degrees inside fridge. Freezer at -10F! Depending on the room temps, this compressor kicks on very little, and SO QUIET when it does. You know it's an energy saver for sure! Lot roomier in the fridge, and freezer, than meets the eye! This was, for me, a Best Buy! Liked it so much, I also purchased a 2.6cu.ft. compact Insignia fridge. Time to get rid of the old GE mini. Boy, am I happy with the 2.6, as well! Overall, highly recommended!

Wife and I were looking for a fridge that had a freezer on the bottom since these tend to work better than other designs. Only problem is most of the bottom fridge units (a) cost over $1k and (b) won’t fit in many apartments. We love this unit because it fits just about any space and costs under $500. The space is well designed and it easily holds everything we need without requiring a separate room to store it.

The fridge is good. It's not greatest, but for the price does what it's supposed to do. The noise did happen from the back and I thought I was gonna end up needing to replace it, but realized theres a drain pan in the back. Had water on it from the fridge and as it fills up it hits the compressor, which is actually genius cause now I know I need to clean it next time it happens. Cleaned it out, put it back no more noise.

(This review should provide useful information because this refrigerator is now 2 years old.) I couldn't be happier with this purchase, especially for the price. It's been super quiet, reliable and efficient. Recently though, it started making a lot of noise. Noise which ceased when you opened the door. I'm pleased to report I was able to get on the internet and figure out it was the evaporator fan located in the freezer compartment (bottom freezer in this model) and it had accumulated ice. We took it apart and cleaned and reinstalled the fan. Voila! Back to its quiet and reliable self. We bought a used GE refrigerator to use while we repaired this one. Wow! The GE made me appreciate the layout and the quality of this refrigerator's interior. For as small as it is (it's our backup 'fridge), it's roomy on the inside with specialized storage on the inside of the door, and all glass shelves instead of the super cheap wires ones in the GE. The glass shelves are somewhat adjustable up or down by a couple of inches and after two years of use, the whole interior cleaned up easily and looked like a brand new refrigerator. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator!

Fridge is compact with very usable space. Fridge on top, freezer on bottom, doors can open left or right which makes it compatible with any kitchen space. No useless water dispenser or ice maker… making it very practical for those of us lucky enough to be able to drink our cities tap water. Fridge is a little on the noisy side, which is barely noticeable in a city setting, but could be annoying in a quieter household.

Purchased this refrigerator last fall for my small kitchen. Immediately we noticed that the fan was running very loudly, especially when under load from leftovers from large Holiday dinners. The screeching cry for help has been a recurring constant for the past 13 months. Recently, the refrigerator quit working entirely and spoiled most of our food. To add insult to injury, Best Buy informed me that my large paperweight was out of warranty. Fortunately, we realized that the freezer was working and that there is hope that we can fix this unit ourselves. We dismantled the back panel in the freezer and found the obnoxious culprit. We have unplugged and plugged the fan back into the fridge and it is now working again! We are ordering a new fan now from a different supplier to put this one out of its misery once and for all.

The product is quiet; keeps everything cold and the freezer freezes everything quickly and I only have it set on level 3 (mid-point) out of 5 (highest setting). The freezer is roomy enough but even as a one person household, I wish there was a little more room. It fits in my small kitchen space perfectly but I probably could have taken one a little taller to give me that little extra room but I'm still pleased. Everything I had including condiments, etc. fits in it and it even looks nice.

I purchased this fridge and, 9 months later, I am still very satisfied with my purchase. This fridge is perfect for my small kitchen, very quiet, I monitor more closely what I have/less waste, and I have had no issues. I am impressed as I purchased this fridge for $299 and I also purchased the 5 year protection plan for $99. The previous fridge similar to this Insignia was a Haier that I purchased at Lowe's and the motor failed on it a little after a year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this Insignia lasts me quite a few years - so far, so good :)

Purchased this as a replacement for a similar fridge that I purchased at another big name store. The previous fridge had motor problems within the first month, but this fridge has been working great for the past 2 years. I also love the freezer on the bottom. Suitable for small house/apt. or for a family of 1 or 2!

We bought this as a second fridge for a mother-in-law suite. We have had it about a month now and it works and looks great. Neat concepts with freezer on bottom. This is a great fridge for someone that is looking for a second fridge/ apt size. Our only issue was that the plastic cover for butter was broken when it arrived. I haven’t yet contacted for a replacement will update review with info when I resolve that issue. Otherwise, we are very pleased so far

Purchased for our small business and I must say this refridgerator is very convenient for our use. The bottom freezer is better as the top portion is more convenient to store and take bottled water and food. The large shelf in door works nicely to store two rows of water and the slide out drawer also is convenient. The inside of the fridge has a nice bright light and everything looks great. Have not had any issues with temperature or run time.
