The kits instructions were very easy to follow and it comes with the prepaid shipping box so you can quickly get your spit sample on it's way. I'm so glad I did this. The results took time but, it was so worth the wait. I already found family members and I learned where my ancestors came from.

It has been really cool exploring all that data the 23 & Me sends you once they complete your DNA profile and they did it in less than half the time they said it would (I had my results in about a week from when I sent in my sample). Speaking of sample, I was surprised at how hard it was to fill a relatively small tube with enough saliva! It took me a good 10 minutes to fill! I didn't really learn much about my ancestry as I had hoped but that was less because of 23 and Me and more about how my family is just a boring one that is almost completely from the UK, with the occasional German thrown in the mix. The health data was much more interesting, and funny enough, I got the results from my DNA test saying I had two copies of the Celiac Disease gene a couple of days after I received a diagnosis of Celiac Disease! It's not actually funny, I love bread and donuts like nobody's business and it has sucked a lot, but it was great to have it confirmed that I can blame both of my parents now! For me, it would not have been worth the full price of the kit (mostly because I'm so plain vanilla), but it goes on sale quite often. I got it during one of those sales and I'm quite happy with the purchase. Just be sure you are well hydrated prior to filling up the tube!

I got this as a gift for my mom who is 83 years old. My sister created the profile for her so we both have access to the information. I love having access to the health and ancestry information. Shortly after loading the information we starting getting hits from distant parts of the genetic tree asking to connect. Knowing the health information is amazing and I had to smile as I saw the traits listed and realized how accurate they are. I'm buying one for my sister and myself for Christmas. I am the last male in my father's line as his brother had only daughters and my father is passed away so it is really important to get that data out there. Going to get the basic dna test for my uncles son so we have that line which is otherwise lost to us.

Bought for myself and both sisters just to see what the outcome was. It was super simple to use and the results came back just in the time-frame that they had suggested. I was not surprised by the results as my parents come from the Middle-east and the DNA results were similar to what they and my grandma would tell me stories about their parents and grandparents. The Health aspect is nice to see what precursors you have for possible diseases. I will start by saying just because you have the precursor or the genes for a certain disease, GET MEDICAL CONFIRMATION before jumping to conclusions.

I saw this was on sale for Black Friday, and I bought one for myself. I always had a general idea of what I was, but it was nice to confirm it exactly. Plus, the Health part of it is interesting as well. The process doesn't take too long at all. I was able to get my results a few weeks after sending in the sample. I would recommend waiting until Black Friday to buy it, because I always see them for sale then.

I bought this because I was curious about my heritage but also because I was concerned about my genetic health. The kit was super easy to use and it was very informative. It walked me through every aspect of the process and getting my sample collected and sent out was a breeze. After I sent my sample I received multiple updates about the progress of my report. So glad I did it.

Of course 23andMe is exciting and eye-opening, but to be able to order it through BestBuy was an extra plus! It cost the same as if I would have ordered it straight from the 23andMe website, however with a couple extra perks...I could choose pick-up, AND I could pay for it with my BestBuy credit card!

I would have never imaged we could be so far into the future to get this information. I was blown away learning about my background and a closer insight to my genealogy! Exciting to find out your ancestry. One of my first relatives that showed up was my cousins son. It’s so fascinating to read the information. It states that I may have dimples and my not like a certain food, etc and it’s correct.

Bought this to get additional information about my heritage. 23andMe kit provided confirmation of my ancestry. Easy to use. Report of results returned within two weeks. Report very detailed. Added benefit for me was health results. Potential health risks identified. Good price and value. Excellent reporting.

The kit was everything and more. Now I have cousins and distant relatives that I would have never connected with. Not only that I am happy to say that I feel less worried of any brain diseases, as I was able to find that I had no genetic likelihood.

I was relunctant on how this would work, but am very surprised and pleased by the results. I took the test, mailed it in and had the results in about a week. Without knowing that my siblings bought and took the test for Christmas, 23andME matched all of us up on our profiles. Pretty fun and interesting information. I got mine on sale for $99.

I found some interesting things about myself genetically. You even have access to I think your entire genetic code, all your DNA so you can do a check if you have certain versions of specific genes, which I thought was neat. The ancestry seems as good or better than ancestry DNA too. yes I recommend this (when on sale :) ).
