This was a perfect choice for my kid who just started middle school. Small enough to fit into a binder, powerful enough to get all her work done. Battery life is good and the touch screen is a nice feature for certain classes.

If you catch this thing on sale, its an incredible deal for a great Chromebook. I got this thing to basically be a web browser I can carry around without being too worried about losing it (IE, its not a 1k+ laptop). Its portable, light, with a 9+ hour charge on my refurbished unit. And as an added bonus, its one of the few Chromebooks which has access to the Google play store which means it can run a large portion of the apps available for Android phones (so tablet replacement anyone?). The screen is a nice IPS one and even thou the resolution is low (coming from a Yoga 2 Pro, 3200x1600 13" screen), it never hindered what I was doing. Google does a pretty good job with resizing the icons so low resolutions don't have icons that eat up 50% of the screen (like running Windows 7 Bootcamp on non-retina MBPs @ 1280x800). The ram is enough for ~10 tabs on Chrome (maybe less depending on how much stuff is going on each screen) and it never really felt slow compared to computers that still run on old hard disks that spin. I haven't had hardware issues thus far with my refurbished unit. Probably the only real downer is the touchpad. Its not smooth at all and it somehow always makes webpages scroll like a stuttering machine. The click on the touchpad is also a bit stiff. Luckily, you can kinda get around it by using the touchscreen and the keyboard which thankfully work pretty well. I guess I can't complain too much given the price.

The acer R11 chromebook is one handy book to have at all times. All white exterior, gloss black inside touchscreen, crisp picture and videos. Google play store is also loaded on here which i like. Very good chromebook @ a very good price.

I continue to use this chromebook as my go to laptop. The addition of Android Apps and the updates to the Chrome OS have made it even better. The touchscreen gets more use now than it ever did. It goes everywhere and the battery lasts all day. Considering the very reasonable price point, this product is a great value.

This 2-in-1 chromebook is a great choice for you if you want ease of use and something that is secure. With this Chromebook you get the Google Play Store which gives you a large selection of apps and games. Well built and the battery life is excellent.

The Acer R11 Chromebook has excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. Screen quality is awesome, boots up fast and has a long battery life.

This has been good but it’s definitely limited. We use it for the kids homework. It is cloud based and connected to google products, of course, so every file has to be uploaded to the cloud and converted.

I've had mine for about 9 months now and love it. I was skeptical about buying it because it was refurbished but I have not had any problems. I love the display.

This is my first Chromebook, so it's definitely taken some time for me to get used to it, but overall, I'm satisfied. Great for simple browsing, writing papers, etc. I haven't really explored Google Play, I'm excited to see what cool apps they have.

All the speed, stability and ease of chrome with the benefit of touch screen,flip to tablet and access to Android apps. For example a Chromebook you can Skype on!

I purchased this as a great price mainly do so school work but not to save anything. Had problems with the fan a couple of times

I love the touchscreen on this laptop!!! I also purchased a mouse, but returned it for a stylus. It's so much more convenient! I can do basic functions on this laptop. Great for things like Netflix, checking email, organizing your calendar.

I got this for my son for elementary school. It has been through almost 2 years of school so far and works great. The touchscreen is really nice for younger kids who don't know where the keys are yet.

Don't have to deal with Windows 10. I like that. Good size, 2 in 1 is great!!! Easy to take along anywhere.
