I was so glad to find this powerhouse of a PC on sale for Memorial Day with a huge $600 discount from a base price around $1,500. I was originally looking at laptops with comparable specs from Lenovo and Dell which were priced significantly higher. I've previously been using an Acer Spin 3 with 15.6" touchscreen and an Intel I7 processor over the past four years which has had solid and reliable performance. However, I was unable to upgrade to the WIN 11 OS from WIN 10 due to limitations with the processor. Since I was already sold on the Acer brand from previous experience, this touchscreen Swift Go 16 AI was an easy choice - with the biggest Ryzen 10-core processor, huge 32GB RAM, and topped out with an impressive 1TB of M.2 NVMe SSD storage - the newest, fastest type of solid state drive. Plenty of various ports and other features as well. This mega machine was shipped to my home in just two days. I quickly unpacked it and was astonished with its light weight (3.53 lbs) and super slim design (0.63 in). This power-packed PC is perfectly portable and even comes with a zippered travel case - an unexpected surprise. This is everything I needed in a new laptop - and more, and for an excellent price!

This computer has been great for college, it’s very fast! It also has enough memory, and the touch screen is great. The charge lasts all day even while I’m using it. I would definitely recommend this computer to anyone in school or needing this for work! The black is so nice and sharp looking also, I really love this computer and I’m an Apple girl so I was skeptical at first but this is way better than a MacBook! It also came with a computer sleeve for protection which is so great! 10/10

The computer is fast and well designed. I wish that there was a Cntl key on the right side of the keyboard. The touch pad is real finicky. At times, it is not responsive at all and other times it is just ok. Slow and not accurate with location identification. It is Not the best touch pad that I have worked on in the past. A mouse is also required to be able to navigate the screen. I think that Acer needs to find a fix for this issue.

Nice laptop. All the features i was looking for: touch screen, 32gb memory, 1tb storage, powerful processor, gorilla glass mousepad, plenty of ports, nice picture and decent graphics.

Excellent performance it’s an excellent value. If you’re learning AutoCAD, using Microsoft Office, browsing, watching videos, and doing light creative work, this laptop should serve you very well for many years. But sometimes the touch pad not works well, so that’s sit the only problem I have.

I have gone through over 15 different laptops to try and find one that handles not just work-related tasks but also allows me to play some games on it every now and then too. This laptop absolutely WORKS for every day heavy work loads, and still remains within temps. The airflow set up on this laptop also dissipates the hot air through the gapping located where the screen folds. A brilliant design that not only removes the hot air but keeps it away from the users' hands and keyboard as well. Plays all the 2D and not so demanding titles pretty well too! Not a laptop you're going to play heavy duty AAA games on! But definitely one you are going to enjoy if you're looking for something that will get the job done and still allow you to enjoy side scrollers and not so demanding titles without getting overly hot. Plays titles like Silent hill 2, the remake on medium settings. Replaced, Elden Ring, etc...

I've been very happy with this laptop so far. Setup was quick and easy, and it performs well for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and work. The screen looks great, the keyboard is comfortable to use, and the battery life has been solid. Overall, it feels like a great value for the price and has met my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable laptop.

I really like this laptop so far. The screen is big and super clear, and the design looks clean and modern. It works really well for editing photos and doing research, with no issues so far. The only downside is that it picks up fingerprints and smudges pretty easily. Overall, I’m happy with it.

Great computer, good sound and battery life, good for coding, work or just watching de world cup or social media videos. the Antivirus is really good and I receive a free month of game pass.

As a power user with need for high level Graphics and productivity, I am pretty satisfied 2 weeks in with the model and functionality. There are fewer ports than I usually like, but it gets me through my workflow and met my budget as well. I have not had touchscreen in while, so happy the added power in that.

Pleasantly surprised with this laptop. Nice and speedy, with the 32GB of RAM being a noticeable premium, Apps load and multi-tasking is a breeze. Also a big fan of the touchscreen, for apps where a mouse just doesn't cut it. It's great to have that option. Battery life also seems great - had a 4 hour long session with it not plugged in and still had plenty of charge leftover.

By far the best laptop purchase ever. Setup was easier than expected. Operated all the way through Setup with the battery never showing less than Full charge

I like the battery life, I like the simplicity of the touchscreen and it does everything I needed to do traveling all over the world

Verdict: The Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a great productivity laptop with strong components, excellent battery life, and mil specs for durability. It also has an awesome Gorilla Glass touchpad with custom touch buttons (LOVE that!). I have only owned one (maybe two?) Acer laptop, versus dozens from other brands now, as well as managing all the family computers and the ones in our business. My previous experience with Acer was unremarkable… But this laptop is really quite nice! Well done Acer! This laptop is for someone who needs a slightly bigger screen for a reliable, durable, and capable travel companion. It can handle some demanding games, but it’s not made for it. First impressions. I love the dark gray color and lines on the front. I immediately noticed that my oily fingerprints are already all over it, and they are quite noticeable unfortunately. The power brick is not too big, but could probably be slimmer for a portable laptop. The laptop is overall quite thin actually, and very light. The screen is very thin, and looks fragile as it opens all the way back, but… this laptop features “Military-grade durability”, so I think it will be ok. It’s also touch screen! I like the 2k WUXGA widescreen format too. Setup. This laptop is Windows-based so initial login is as expected. Initial updates took quite a long time. And upon first login, the Copilot icon was not visible… the words were there, but there was just a blank space on the taskbar. To solve this, I unpinned from the taskbar and then re-added it. Functionality. - Face recognition works well most of the time, but is not reliable in low light settings - Presence detection works well; when I approach the laptop, it wakes up and it’s ready to scan my face - There is a Copilot button (love it!). While I subscribe to a different AI service, I am using copilot more and more for quick searches because the button is there, and because it loads and executes very fast (perhaps from the Ryzen AI 9 chip?) - There is an Acer button, which provides access to settings (pretty good). However, the settings window loads slower than I expected - There is a customizable button for one touch launching of apps or setting, it’s a nice touch! I use it to launch a new Chrome window (you just have to map it to the .exe file) - Speakers are louder than I expected. Sound quality is fine… about as expected for a thin laptop - I am satisfied with the number of ports: 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C, Micro SD card reader (seems outdated, but I actually still need it to transfer drone footage faster), HDMI, and 35mm Performance. The Acer Swift Go AI comes with great specs: AMD Ryzen AI 9, 32GB of RAM, a decent integrated card, an awesome touchpad, 1TB SSD, WiFi 7, and a 5MP camera. It comes together quite well and has performed flawlessly for me so far - The integrated graphics card has performed well in stress tests. For testing, I played a short Counter-Strike 2 session on high settings fairly smoothly (~50-60 FPS), and better than I expected without an independent graphics card - While the laptop is thin, I have not had issues with heat yet, despite running several programs and 30 plus tabs at the same time - The laptops is remarkably quiet, even on performance mode when the laptop is not working hard. You will hear fan noise when it starts working hard, but it’s not loud by any means Things I love. - The specs are strong: AMD Ryzen AI 9, 32GB of RAM, wifi 7, and a 5MP camera - The WUXGA screen with 2k resolution and vibrant colors - The touchpad is awesome!! I have not loved a novelty so much in years as the custom buttons that appear based on the application (media or video chat) - It has a physical webcam cover to ensure privacy (thank you!) - It’s thin enough (but not too thin) - Very efficient, leading to great battery life - Quiet keyboard - Presence sensor so the computer wakes up when you are near - AI Capabilities that work very smoothly - Military-grade durability! - It comes with a nice computer bag… perfect! Thank you Acer!! Things I don’t love. - My fingerprints are already all over the computer. Not sure if there is a coating for easier cleaning. Warm breath and a cleaning cloth works ok for quick cleaning. Overall, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a great package for a professional on the road, including strong components, innovations like the touchpad, and good overall value. I am very impressed with this Acer laptop and I highly recommend it!

overall the laptop is good but had issues with touchpad as it is interfering typing and creates typos , had a tough time while I used that for interview and got typos whole I was writing psuedocode, the keyboard area is fragile goes in whe you little hard press, the screen is mediocre may not be the best ips lcd in market , sound is not that great even with dtsx.If you are using dock or external keyboard u can get away from first two issues , I plan to use dock , overall a laptop with compromises for price as I bought for 899$ , may not be great if you pay full price

My initial set-up went without a glitch. The laptop started and installed all necessary drivers and devices with ZERO fuss. Granted after start-up and activation, there was a firmware update pending for the device, but no worries, it too went without any issues. On top of that, the firmware update went very quickly, taking less than a quarter of the time most other manufacturers' firmware updates take. One thing I have to mention, as it is a huge pet peeve of mine, is the amount of bloatware that came pre-installed on this device. This new Acer Swift has more pre-installed bloatware than any other laptop I've reviewed to date. I counted a total of 23 different apps, services, programs, offers, analytics, telemetry, etc. All unnecessary. To add insult to injury, Acer chose to bundle McAfee with the Swift. Ugh. A resource hog and nearly impossible to cleanly remove from your system. Double Ugh. PERFORMANCE AND USE It's hard to find fault with AMD's latest Ryzen AI processors. This one is no exception. This Ryzen 9 contains a total of 10 cores. 4 Zen 5 Performance cores, 6 Zen 5c Ultra-Efficient cores, and an integrated Neural Processor to handle onboard AI tasks. Together they make for a peppy and responsive laptop. Not to mention, it seems to be very efficient thermally. Even during benchmarking the cooling fans never got annoyingly loud or obtrusive. Did they spin up? Yes. Was it distractingly loud and unpleasant? No, not at all. While not the quietest laptop I've reviewed recently, I have no objections or complaints about the fan noise. I will say that these fans do spin up more often than similarly spec'd Intel-based Swifts, but it is worth the tradeoff for me to get the increased performance that the Ryzen 9 offers of lesser Intel and AMD chips. Unlike most laptops, the Swift is able to fold completely flat. No, it's not a 2-in-1 that can be folded into a tablet, but I am surprised at just how convenient it is to fold flat. I had never given it much thought. Even looking at Acer touting the feature on their website, I dismissed the convenience factor. But after spending quite a bit of quality time with the Swift, I see just how convenient the fold flat feature is during daily use. Who would have thought? On the performance front, the great rivalry rages on and probably always will. Do I get an AMD processor or an Intel processor? Both are options in the Swift family of laptops. I was able to make back-to-back comparisons as I recently received a laptop for review powered by Intel's latest Core Ultra 7 355 processor (4P Cores / 4 Ultra-Low Power Cores), as well as a machine with AMD's Ryzen AI 5 340 from 2025 (6C / 12T). How does the Ryzen 9 stack up to similar models? Passmark scores are as follows: Ryzen 9 (2026) Intel Ultra 7 355 Ryzen 5 (2025) CPU 32722.4 (89th Percentile) 20005.9 (70th Percentile) 19010.3 (56th Percentile) 2D Graphics 945.6 (77th Percentile) 877.9 (69th Percentile) 887.7 (71st Percentile) 3D Graphics 6655.9 (42nd Percentile) 4539.6 (36th Percentile) 4105.1 (35th Percentile) The new Ryzen 9 AI processor is powerful. Besting its closest rival that I've been able to test by over 30%. Would an Ultra 9 be closer? Yes, definitely, but the AI 9 is an extremely powerful processor. Not to mention, the new Radeon 880M graphics are more capable than even last year's Ryzen mobile graphics. Not revolutionarily so, but it is a definite evolutionary step in the right direction. One drawback of having all this compute power on tap is the amount of heat it produces. Granted AMD has worked wonders over the years in reducing power consumption, but the AI 9 does make considerably more heat than its lesser competitors and because of this battery life is shorter and the fans do spin up more often to maintain temps. NEGATIVES 1. System is held back by an average NVMe drive. Besting only 4770.83MB/s transfer capabilities, which is slightly more than 1/2 the speed a good Gen 4 drive can deliver. A quality Gen4 x 4 drive will do roughly 7000MB/s. 2. Wish it was an OLED display. After using an OLED laptop, it is hard to go back to a non-OLED model. The black levels leave me wanting and the display just lacks that great inky black panel that I have grown to love over the years. Quite frankly, a laptop with this prowess should have an OLED panel. The laptop exudes high-end hardware strapped to an entry-level display. 3. Bloatware. This new Acer takes the crown for amount of bloatware that comes pre-installed. I counted a total of 23 apps, links, and other forms of telemetry software. Even after a clean Windows 11 installation to rid myself of McAfee Anti-Virus (pre-installed), Acer still snuck 7 telemetry and reporting services back in and all were set to AutoStart. FINAL THOUGHTS Do I like the Acer Swift Go 16? Yes. Do I love it? No. This is a top-tier laptop. There is no other way to put it. I appreciate the amount of raw computing power that this laptop offers. Not to mention the included 32GB of RAM puts it in the top-tier among others in the market. Most laptops only offer 16GB. This wasn't a big deal a couple of years ago when you could easily upgrade RAM, but not in today's day and age where RAM is now soldered directly to the motherboard and is non-upgradeable. Because this laptop packs so much potential, I feel the antiquated LED screen is out of place on such a highly spec'd device. A second reason as to why I don't love the Acer is the amount of unnecessary bloatware that comes pre-installed. Even after a clean Windows install, the analytics and telemetry services still got re-installed without my intervention. Not a fan. In the end, would I recommend this PC? Yes. Especially if I had an external OLED monitor to connect it too. It has a TON of processing power and even with all the compute power it has managed a good 5 to 6 hours of battery life for me to date. Some days better than others, but I get about 6 on average. Not bad for this amount of performance. RECOMMENDED

This is my 2nd Acer laptop, last one being a 2024 Acer Swift 16 Inch OLED model and there is a few pros and cons with this newest 2026 edition that I'll get into. Packaging: When received, the laptop was boxed up inside another box. Very well packaged. The box itself is not snazzy with any artwork but very minimal with the logo and specs on the side box. Upon opening the box, the laptop is protected with the common soft fabric like sleeve that encases the laptop, then a thin fabric sleep inside the laptop protecting the screen from the keys when the laptop is closed. Taking the laptop out, there is the documentation then a charger and separated from it inside the packing box was a bonus of a Laptop carrying sleeve with the Acer logo on there. Nice of Acer to include that for someone who may want to keep the laptop from getting scratched/scuffed when carrying it in a backpack or whichever if the person don't have a laptop carrying bag. Design and Build: The Swift 16 AI is a lightweight and slim laptop, It features a backlit keyboard that has no flex, providing a good typing experience with adequate tactile response. The keyboard layout is standard, with the exception of an AcerSense and AI Copilot key and a convenient number pad on the side. The laptop is equipped with (1) HDMI 2.1 port, (2) USB Type-C ports, (2) USB 3.2 Type-A ports and a MicroSD Card reader. I would prefer one additional USB Type-C port instead of the Type-A ports, as many devices are transitioning to USB Type-C. However, depending on your peripherals, you may find the Type-A ports useful. There is also a headphone jack available for convenience. The matte display is ok with a screen resolution of 1920x1200 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, its a matte finish display. Compared to my 2024 OLED one, I feel the screen is a downgrade, especially with the specs on this laptop. Im hoping Acer takes the suggestion for OLED's becoming the standard for laptops going forward. The laptop's webcam is good, it recognizes facial login with Windows Hello without a hitch. The mouse pad provides solid clicks and feels smooth with its gorilla glass and consistent to use. I like the extra touch sensitive buttons that you can use on the mousepad for videos or voice calls/video chat. The monitor exhibits no flex... can lay flat and the hinges are sturdy. Overall, the aluminum chassis is well constructed, highlighting the laptop's quality. First time usage: I plugged in the charger and let it charge while also powering it on for the first time. Upon booting for the first time with Windows OOBE (Out of Box experience), it instead rebooted and then went to a "Why did my PC Restart" screen (See included picture). Stating there is a problem that is keeping us from getting your PC ready to use. Either Acer did little QA testing of the Windows Images on these laptops or this laptop had its factory image cloned on here too fast and no testing was done but the other part of me wants to say its more then likely Windows 11 is also partly to blame with its inconsistent update and development woes over the years but after this and getting connected to the internet, I was able to get to the OOBE. Be aware that after connecting to the internet while setting it up, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the speed of your connection of course) to install Windows 11 updates before finally getting to the desktop. There is the option to hit Update later at the bottom but I just rather wait and let it update/install. I then looked over the installed programs and found that there is what I consider to be bloatware, McAfee, VPN and one called "App Explorer" by SweetLabs. Then the usual clean up of the "apps" category with some games that I was not interested in then to give it that Windows 7 Era feel/look, I installed ExplorerPatcher and OpenShell from GitHub to make it feel personal for myself. One exclusion they went away from for some reason is on my 2024 Acer Swift, they had the fingerprint sensor built into the power button, I do miss that feature on this, not sure why it was excluded as it worked great and was quick. Performance wise, multiple programs that I used and were running, I did not experience any lag, any performance hits. It was very smooth. I am impressed at the Integrated AMD Radeon 880M graphics. I played some Minecraft, some older games such as Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Fortnite and I had no gripes with smooth gameplay. I wouldn't say its a gaming laptop by any means and I wouldn't place your hope on playing the newest games out today with no flaws but older games, it will play them without a problem. Speakers: Acer improved on the speakers a bit compared to the 2024 model, they are louder, has a little bit more clarity but still feels flat, I would not count on being able to hear them in moderate to loud environments. If absolutely have to have sound coming from this laptop, I would highly recommend using a wireless speaker connected to it. Battery: With this being a AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, I typically got around 6-8 hours on average with just browsing, playing Youtube videos and the brightness set on medium. Not bad for my usage scenario but could be a problem for some that are looking for longer battery life. Copilot: The AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 does excellent with Copilot. Click to Do is particularly handy, it intelligently highlights text and images on screen and lets you quickly copy, search, summarize, or take other AI-powered actions without switching apps. Recall acts like a visual timeline of your activity, letting you search your past work using natural language to find documents, websites, or images you’ve seen before, super useful for recovering lost or forgotten things you need to look back on. One thing that is missing... Take note Acer.... It needs a SSD/HDD Indicator LED light. There is a few manufacturer's that still have this today and its vital (in my personal opinion) to have that in case the PC may appear to be frozen but maybe the PC is working really hard on installing or doing something in the background. Conclusion: Its a great laptop that I enjoy a lot, aside from the first time powering on woe I had, the unnecessary bloat installed, the speakers could use a bit more work and a OLED panel would of been great since it was used in the older models. The battery is good for a half day usage, performance is above and beyond and the rugged military strength build. Its a good productivity and travel laptop. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

It is only my first week with this new Acer Swift Go. Hardware is fantastic: low glare OLED, fast Ryzen Ai9 chip, plenty of quick RAM and storage. Software has improved with updates and reinstalls, but still a bit too much bloatware that luckily can be removed. Overall this laptop gives you battery life and powerful performance at a far better price in the current Ai and tariff world that has made many things unattainable. Just be sure to max your RAM since it is not upgradeable. What's in the box: Laptop. USB-C power brick. Nice branded padded zipper sleeve case with side zipper pocket. Legal paperwork. If Acer can include a minimal case for their laptops at these prices. WHY does nearly everyone else omit the case/sleeve? Build: I am not seeing any cost cutting in the build quality of my Swift Go. Keyboard is solid and key travel on the single color backlit keyboard is good with proper spacing. The big responsive touchpad works as expected, sadly no haptic, does have light up media controls (AcerSense settings). Screen has zero wiggle or flex and easily stays where opened to. Note: the screen has a non-reflective coating that does not wow like the gloss OLED screens, but this is a plus for me for minimal light reflections. Plenty of fast current gen ports for charging and connecting anything currently available. Audio is adequate as it seems to be 2 speakers under the front lip, but its very usable and not tinny at full volume. The web cam is also just adequate, it does windows hello and is usable if needed. The webcam does have a built in shutter if you worry about that kind of stuff. The only build complaint would be the case does show fingerprints a bit more than some other laptops I have used in the past. First world problems. Software: All the basic Windows and its bloat is here and much of that gets sorted quickly with a few restart cycles of updating. The Acer bloat seems to be a bit more than the last laptop I tried. Much of it can be deleted if you want it gone. Its the AcerSense that really gave me issues. This app essentially controls the whole laptop and just makes things under the hood run in harmony. AcerSense was flawed from the start and had to be uninstalled and downloaded from Acer before I could get it to allow me to change the power mode from the default silent mode to normal or performance modes. It still does not update 2 items it wants updated, but the rest of the system is functioning properly, so hopefully it updates and corrects itself eventually. Overall, the software is easily dealt with and much of the bloat might be useful to some and likely keeps the price of the laptop lower. I highly recommend this specific Ryzen Acer Swift Go as configured. Battery life is stellar on silent mode 10-12+ hours. The system in performance mode powers through various editing jobs. You can even game tier 1 titles with realistic settings. Cooling and fans never became an issue. Maybe I am not pushing it hard enough to hear full fan noise and heat. Acer has the best price for performance this year. Just need a little more day one software ironing to receive the full 5 star rating I wanted to give. It will show 4 star rating but its really 4.5 in my review.

I purchased this laptop mainly for college, but it’s great all around. I use it for normal browsing and gaming. Its battery life is enough for 1-2 hours of gaming, and generally 4+ hours of casual use after a full charge. There is one software-related issue I experienced with the touchpad sometimes being buggy. It appears that many others report this same issue. I’ve been able to get around it by disabling and re-enabling the touchpad by pressing F10. I expected a 60-75hz display, but was pleasantly surprised upon realizing the screen runs at 120hz. If you get this on sale under $900, it’s definitely worth it. The most demanding games I’ve played on this laptop are Persona 5 Royal and Judgment, both of which it was able to run on high/max graphics settings. Pros: Good battery life, great processor & integrated graphics, quiet, runs games decently, 16” 120hz display, lots of ram, large touchpad, nice keyboard layout, “ok” speakers and camera Cons: Touchpad issues (F10 fixes them), fingerprint magnet
