Great weather station for home

This device alerts me to weather conditions and tracks both outdoor and indoor temperatures and humidity. It also tracks highs and lows as well as dew point. It requires some set up, especially if you want alarms for high or low temperatures.

Best weather station on the market for the price!
I can't believe this was on sale for $39.99, it looks like a $100-$200 thermostat display. Such an easy set-up. You don't have to worry about Bluetooth or wifi, just toss your batteries in the sensor and back-up batteries in the unit (don't need them but good if power goes out or you move it around) and it auto-connects and ready to go. No stupid app and tons of useful information on display.

AcuRite Home Weather Station is Awesome!

I really liked this home weather station, compared with a less expensive unit that it replaced. Screen display is much larger than on the prior, less expensive, unit. The AcuRite displayed more information, such as barometric air pressure. In addition, the outside and inside temperature readings were much easier to read at a distance. Setup was easy.

AcuRite Thermometer has some nice features

The thermometer works as expected accurately providing both indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity. The brightness of the display is adjustable, or it can be set to auto mode. It stores the high and low temperatures which are always displayed. One unexpected feature is that it also provides the heat index or dewpoint depending on the outside temperature. One issue is that the viewing angle of the display needs improvement. I also wish it displays the range of humidity for the day without having pushing buttons to find them. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase.

Clear degree of angle?

This replaced the old weather station I had, that actually was frozen and cracked during last winters ice storms. The accuracy is great and the colors in the screen are a plus. An issue is the angle at which you can see the temp and all the display clearly. If you're not directly in front or a close angle, the display isn't very clear to read.

The viewing angle for our displays is optimized for typical display setups, such as on a side table, where it is meant to be seen at eye-level or from slightly above the display. For the best results, please make sure that you are using standard alkaline batteries from a high-quality brand. The AcuRite - Home Weather Station has more services than other similarly priced Weather Stations. It also proved accurate in both cold and hot weather. The only minus was the less than helpful instructions the booklet came with. I took it to the Geek squad for help and that went perfectly.
