This was a transfer of the ice maker from a defective refrigerator delivered two weeks earlier to the new replacement refrigerator. The installation crew either didn’t know how to install & connect the ice maker or they damaged the ice maker. Best Buy follow up has been a complete fail. Initially setting a service date for tomorrow 7/5 and later rescheduling the completion or “fix” for two additional dates. At this point in time, I don’t have confidence that Best Buy can even make a schedule let alone complete the job. There are other deficiencies with the replacement refrigerator. The top right hand hinge cover appears to be broker, also the lower left stainless steel freezer panel has a dent about the size of a dime.

The original installer messed up the installation in July 2022. This is now the fourth installer coming to fix the issue and he says the refrigerator needs to be replaced. Original installer literally did not hook up water dispenser in the refrigerator and threw away the part to hook up both the ice maker and dispenser.

Was a little tricky but Best Buy made it happen I would recommend using them to install a waterline instead of diy

The ice maker leaked water all thruout the freezer making a horrible frozen mess.

Works great. Plenty of ice. Install it yourself. BestBuy 3rd party installers were terrible. First team watched a YouTube video while doing it and didn't connect any of the water lines. 2nd team guessed what they were doing and connected the water line to the wrong connector. 3rd team was a no show. Youtube it and install yourself saving the 50 bucks and more importantly, 2 weeks of headaches.

Makes small ice cubes. And it takes a long time to make them. Also, it is very noisy.

My ice maker is a God send. It’s working great and I love it! The installers did a great job installing it. I don’t have to worry about ice trays or buying bags of ice and worrying about how to store it. With my ice maker I always have ice whenever I need it.

Initially we were very disappointed with this product. We had techs come out 3 times to install it and even replace it and it still didn’t work. Finally Paul came out and took time to look at every possible issue. Among them, the floor wasn’t level. This was easily fixed with a wooden slab. Now the icemaker works perfectly. I believe the techs might need a little more education about installing this product. Thank goodness we finally got Paul!

It's not hard to attach an existing water line to a refrigerator. The two gentlemen that came 10/24/2025 were polite, knowledgeable, prepared, and qualified licensed plumbers. They got the job done very efficiently and cleaned up behind themselves. They were great! If only BB had sent them the first time! It took many phone calls and more than 5 visits, with me sitting and waiting each time, for BB to send actual plumbers to install the refrigerator water line. Twice, they sent delivery people without even anything in hand to deliver. The time before this they left me waiting for 12 hours and nobody showed up at all. To make matters worse, BB kept giving me conflicting information on the phone about what needed to be done and who they would send, and even then they sent delivery people for an installation job. I have paid for Total Tech Support for several years now and been happy with services, but this year service has been very difficult to achieve. BB needs to look at its call center operations and do better and stop wasting their customers' and technicians' time. Today's team gets 5 stars, and Best Buy gets 2 stars.

Install was a bust! it was not hooked up properly and it became a nightmare. Ice Maker is good, throws ice out (or bounces out) of bucket to catch ice cubes when dumped. Works ok.

The icemaker works perfectly and it's just the perfect size. Unfortunately the Men, installing it, scratch the side of the refrigerator when placing it back into place

Pretty plug and play. The refrigerator delivery guys that came before hooked up the water so these guys just had to pop the ice maker in and go. Nothing above and beyond but nothing went wrong.

Well after waiting over 2 months to get it installed, it's really loud ( can hear it all over the house when it;s filling with water). The good thing was the men that put it in was very nice & knew what they were doing.

Ice maker operates great, and makes ice decently fast. Installer installed ice maker with no problem and ice maker works properly.
On 2/17/15 I purchased an ice maker for $99.99 and the installation of the ice maker for $49.99. It is now 3 months later and I still don't have a properly operating ice maker. Today the two problems with the ice maker were supposed to be fixed. I was told a lie about the two problems and that the company that was supposed to fix it would not be doing that. They said that the ice maker which leaks water into the tray which then freezes the cubes into a solid block is working properly when they didn't even check the frozen into a block ice cubes. They also said that the leak in the basement was coming from the shut off valve which is corroded but is not the source of the leak. The leak is from a couple in the pipe which was disturbed when the ice maker was attached to the pipe. A poor rating does not begin to describe the extreme dissatisfaction that I have with this product and the provided service. Kirke Larson

I was disappointed that the installers that came out to install my ice maker were not totally able to install it. The end of my waterline leading up to the back of the freezer did not have the right type of end on it. I had to call in a plumber to install it, which cost me another $100. Also, I had to wait 2 months for the new ice maker to arrive in order to be installed, and I was very frustrated about that.

You know you're in trouble when the delivery people have their phones out and half-watching the how-to video to install this. The freezer door has 2 dings - thinking from the install when the door was removed and put on the floor while they crawled into the freezer to install the icemaker. They tried.
