It’s quiet and never too hot no matter what settings you put it on. I can confidently and comfortably stream at 6000 bitrate for hours and hours while getting great FPS. I run everything on max settings, 1440p and used to use my 4K TV at first which also ran max settings but 60 FPS because of the 60htz TV. This thing saved my youtube channel lol

I got this tower on sale after a cancelled order through Dell for an inferior machine that got put on backorder for over a month. Best buy hooked me up with a ready to pick up machine that sidestepped the issues with the geforce 4060ti graphics card and with an upgraded memory size. I can’t hear this run, even when clocking difficult games. The simple and refined LEDs make this a fun but more elegant tower than Alienwear’s prior towers. The R16 tower is a great choice for out of box gamers not looking to tool around with hardware and drivers. The liquid cooling system thats completely enclosed is a great touch for this machine. I can run music apps, movies, and games all at the same time without busting a sweat. A+++. Sidenote, Dell service end is hit or miss. The guy who helped cancel my order was super chill and directed me to get an in hand machine from store current inventory and that lead me to Bestbuy. 0% financing for 24 months was cool too. Snag a large curved uhd monitor for the full experience.

Let’s s start of the pros - love the specs Intel i71400KF / RTX 4070 Super, and 1000 watts, suitable for my gaming needs, and overall size of the rig, not overly bulky like most rigs. Now for the cons - within 2 weeks of owing it out of the box, I had several random crashes and unresponsive, even with the latest drivers update, as well as windows 11 updates. Only comes with 1TB M.2 2230, would’ve been nice if it comes with at least 2TB M.2 2280, oh and the most hideous RAM looking ever for a modern gaming PC, would’ve been nice with RGB lighting RAMs like most others. It’s my first Dell PC gaming rig and it’s not a good experience out of the box within less than a month of ownnh. For the price of $2,199 retail I expect a better experience. I might return it and try my luck with AMD Rizen 7 instead of Intel.

I was forced to buy a pre-built because in combination of sales and the current market at the time, this was way cheaper than building my own desktop. I didn't really need something this fancy, and I was coming from rigs built to handle 1080p gaming, but I really wanted to try and step up the graphics so I went and splurged. As usual with Dell, they keep hounding you to purchase extended warranties as soon as you setup the device. One of the benefits of pre-builts though, you don't have to look for drivers to update as big brands tend to partner well with Microsoft to deliver the updates together with Windows. With my setup, it's able to easily handle two 1440p monitors (LG Ultragear), although I think the most resource-heavy game I ran on this rig is Final Fantasy XIV with a lot of graphical mods. I'm also able to do video editing while playing at the same time without any issues, and I haven't heard the fan go full blast. Now onto the cons, I got a CPU Fan Detect Failure on this rig a little over a year of ownership. Sadly, no more manufacturer warranty, but as a Total member, I was able to send it in for service through Best Buy with the $99 deductible. They had my PC for a month, and came back with the same issue. Since the CPU cooler is proprietary, you can't simply slap on an aftermarket part. They're sending it in again to GeekSquad City so I'm probably gonna be out another month for this one. Overall, at the time of purchase, I think it was a good value. But if something fails, it's gonna be a tough fix. Maybe it's Best Buy's issue with the repair, but parts shouldn't be failing prematurely.

Got this for my Fiancé for a late XMAS & Early Birthday Present! He love it so much!!!! He plays on it 24/7 and plays games like Project Zomboid or Sons of the Forest, they play so smoothly!!! The lights are really dope on it as well! Just remember it does tend to over heat so make sure there’s good air flow near your pc!

It’s a beast of a PC but there are some strange lag spikes that occur when opening the settings, starting multiple programs simultaneously, which my older pc Acer Predator still executes without any hesitation. I am almost positive it’s something to do with all of the Dell/Alienware bloatware running that I can’t seem to turn off, I’ll remove it eventually and hopefully it will fix the issues. I’ll do some more research and see what I find out. Other than that the package components have potential to create a beast.

Amazing aesthetic. I got the Logitech Gaming Mouse and Keyboard to go with it and the set up looks like something out of a professional gaming magazine if such a thing exists. I would give the item a 5-star if I could figure out why my games will not load on it.

My daughter bought this for gaming and graphic design work. We were wondering if the 4070 GPU would have the power she needs. It has performed extremely well and she’s very happy with it. Overall a great choice!

Sold me a bricked PC.even though their claim was that it was in good working condition. Been sent back to manufacture twice now with no resolutions.

As of 30 Aug 24, the Aurora R16 is on sale for a phenomenal price. I would highly recommend buying one! A quick summary of the Aurora R16: Pros: Fast Modern Looking Plenty of ports Customizable lighting Quiet (so quiet) Can handle whatever you throw at it Cons: Alienware software Detailed Summary: First, I'm just a simple man making my way through the world. I bought this with no plans to upgrade any components (except the RAM in the very distant future). This PC is amazing. It can handle the vast majority of games at Ultra settings and I've yet to see it struggle. It's whisper quiet, and the only time I've heard the fans turn on was during some graphic intensive tasks. There are multiple ports available on the front and back. To access the internals, you simply have to remove a screw. Lighting is fully customizable and I prefer the more modern, discreet look to the body. The only con I found was the software. I wish it was a one stop shop, but so far I've had to use My Alienware for registration, SupportAssist (to update the BIOS), Alienware Command Center for adjusting the performance and lighting, the GeForce Experience App for the graphics card, and the Killer Intelligence Center for the wifi. There's this little dongle that comes in the box and attaches to the back of the PC on the two gold threads. I HIGHLY recommend attaching it and using the Killer Intelligence App to adjust your system networking performance. I have 1 GB internet in my home and initially had download speeds in Steam of around 10 Mbps. I attached the dongle and adjusted the network settings to bounce up to 836 Mbps. So save yourself 3 hours of network troubleshooting and just attach it. Overall, this is a solid midrange PC for gamers and creators alike. And with $400 off right now, it's a stellar bargain!

Great system! Yes, it is highly proprietary, but that is fine with me. I have no desire to work on these any longer at my age and wanted a power-house right out of the box. Very quiet, very quick and can run any current video game at Ultra levels of resolution without skipping a beat. Looks great and is not in-your-face with all the multi-colored fans and added flashes. Wish the factory warranty was longer though.

Got this during a sale — total steal for the specs it came with. Truly plug and play, no setup hassle at all. It comes with a basic wired mouse and keyboard, office-style. There’s an empty M.2 slot and two more bays for SSDs or even an HDD if you want to add more storage later. The included software’s pretty solid — it won’t let you go wild with overclocking, but it’s more than enough to run AAA games at max settings without breaking a sweat. Surprisingly, it doesn’t come loaded with a bunch of bloatware either.

The product is great. Both my boys love their gaming PC which are both this model. One piece of advice for anyone purchasing this model. Both of our PCs have a glitch where due to preinstalled Killer Intelligence App the upload speed is very very slow and only improves when you go into killer intelligence app and turn it off. Our second computer we tried to delete the app/ uninstall it and this does not work and we had to reinstall the app in order to turn it off to get the upload speeds correct. So the PC as a gaming PC is great but to save you headaches in set up make sure you open Killer Intelligence App and turn it off if you want fast upload speeds. Hopefully this helps buyers avoid the headaches of customer support not knowing this is the fix
