Carry gear securely inside this versatile Alienware Vindicator backpack. A durable reinforced base resists weather and water while being sturdy enough to hold a 17.3-inch laptop, tablet, magazines and USB devices in separate compartments. The padded shoulder strap of this Alienware Vindicator backpack makes it comfortable to tote around campus.
A: Chris, This bag comfortably houses the Alienware 17 R4 with room for a sizable amount of ancillary gear. I would say you could easily haul 4-5 books along with the laptop. Keep in mind though that you will be approaching a pretty heavy weight with such a loadout. Coming from someone who carried a lot of weight in college on a daily basis, her back would not thank her after 4 years of such treatment. As long as the secondary bag contents aren't crazy heavy, you certainly have the volume to fit them in this bag along with the laptop gear. I use the bag exclusively for hauling my laptop, mouse, and gaming headset and find it quite pleasant. With that loadout, it's a black hole of empty space waiting to be filled!
A: This backpack is well divided and you can be sure that it will protect your laptop. I really love it.
A: Two of my co workers have EVGA SC17's. One of them ended up buying the back pack and AW rolling case after trying mine out as the AW17 is slightly larger in dimensions than the SC17, so it fits well. It's definitely got a little weight to it, but the shoulder strap doesn't bother me for short carries, for any duration, you'll want to use both straps as it will slide around on your shoulder with movement during single strap use due to the weight of our laptops.
A: Yes. It will fit it. It has a VERY large section for your laptop.
A: No this bag will not be too big to be a carry on. It is smaller than the standard carry on that people take.
