It's an awesome sub, but the best but listing needs to be corrected. It is not a single voice coil sub, it is dual 4ohm. Now back to the subwoofer. I've owned a plethora of car audio and Alpine has aways been top notch. The S series are on the lower end of what they have to offer but still impressive to say the least. They handle every bit of 600 watts. Freauency response is pretty good as well, only lacking moderately at the low end. I definitely recommend.

Good base, very light wooffer for a 600w. 1 is loud 2 will rumble more. 300w rms each voice coil.

It sounds good, but I would recommend two. They don’t hit the really deep lows, but the Xmax is only 14.5mm. For the price range you can get something better, but when they go on sale for $99, get them. They’re worth it. Fun fact: I pushed about 1200W through 1 S-W12D4 and it took the power for a couple songs before one of the voice coils burned up and smoked my car out. My mistake, I thought I had it wired to 8 ohms.

I powered this Alpine subwoofer with the Alpine 600 watt (300 watt rms also sold at Best Buy) mono amplifier and it bumps! I listen to all types of music and it all sounds good. Bass can be very deep, shaking everything! It can be configured for 2, 4 or 8 ohms via terminals. I highly recommend it. I have it mounted in a Metra Sub Enclosure (sold at Best Buy) in the cargo space in my SUV.

I bought two of these for my ram backseat and they slam! I was cautious about breaking them in but it wasn’t long before I had the volume all the way up. They handle lots of frequencies with ease. Have had them about a month now and they are holding up fine. I also play them at high volume frequently.

Have 2 hooked up to a kicker cx1200.1 amp wired @1 ohm. 600rms a piece and have the gain @ about 10% and it hits hard!! I have my bass settings <50% and fade a little more to the front and it is still rattling my windows! Great speaker for the price!

Awesome speaker. Great price and excellent staff. This is when you could actually shop at the Harrisburg store and not look up online. I miss the old sales staff.

These are great speakers and can handle pretty much whatever box you put them in

Love the sound quality! I have it in a ported box currently and love the sound. Running the alpine 500w amp is plenty loud enough for a Mini Cooper.

Best speaker I've ever owned. Hits so hard, shakes the whole car. Just 1 is plenty but bought the 800 Watt amp to go with it.

This bass is so deep and pounding it will move the items in your trunk! Alpine is still the best around

I am running two of these in a 1.25 cubic foot sealed enclosure in my 17 Ram quad cab. At first I wasn't sure if these were right for me, but after the initial break in period these woofers just came to life. They hit hard and the bass is very well pronounced. I cannot recommend a better 12" woofer for a smaller enclosure. These are the ones.

This is my third purchase of this type of speaker. I love Alpine equipment and the price isn't bad either. These speakers can take a lot great value.

Sound is fantastic no matter what genre of music is played. Even the terrible songs sound great!

I have 3 12s running on my setup. Great sound and they hit hard with the right setup. I even have to turn the amp down so the bass isnt so hard/loud when it hits. Pushing these daily since 2019 and they have not let me down yet. GREAT BUY
